While shopping today I found I had forgot my wallet and the young lad Brandon at the Dunfermline store helped me get my card to work from my phone, despite me being computer stupid! Very helpful lad and an asset to the company

Nikki helped me get my laminate into my car, with a dodgy back I needed support but Nikki said she was happy to do it herself and treated my car with respect as well as the products! Big credit to your team! Thank you Nikki

Staff were so helpful. We chose the items we wanted but could not locate stock. Brandon showed us the items and carried them to the front of the store. We then wanted inserts, but again problems with stock. Rebecca went to a great deal of trouble looking in the warehouse and on all the display points. We were offered transport to the car without asking and Justin duly obliged. They even apologised for the time it took.

Brandon and all the other staff in the shop were really helpful in helping me choose the right products for my project, highly recommend the service in the store

I went into the Dunfermline store today and whilst browsing came upon a lampshade lying on a shelf with no price or anything including no cellophane wrapping. On inspection I noticed it had a damaged metal rim. I recognised this shade immediately as having come off the wooden tripod floor lamp which I had already purchased. I thought it would be well discounted along with other damaged shades on display. I approached the customer services where I enquired as to how much this particular damaged shade would be. The very pleasant young lady serving said she would enquire on my behalf. An older lady summoned by the assistant arrived and started searching on the computer for this particular shade. Several times I tried to tell her that this shade was off the tripod floor lamp but she ignored me and proceeded to tell the young assistant to put it through with some other shade code and to reduce it from original price of £20 by 20%! I told her that the shade she was showing as being the same one as I wanted to purchase was in fact not the same! She then persisted by saying they sold those shades and showed me it on the pad. Again I reiterated that the one she was showing me was not the same and did not cost £20 as it came off a £70 lamp! At this she turned nasty and said that’s the price I’m offering it for take it or leave it! I was willing to buy and take off their hands a damaged shade, probably ex display, abandoned on a shelf without the base for a reasonable price eg £10 but this nippy stubborn woman would rather leave it on the shelf insisting that it was a single item of current stock!!! On checking online when I returned home there was no other shade of that size online or in store! Dreadful customer service!

Very helpful staff. Needed help with outdoor tap washer and James was on hand to help me get the right size and also tools required. Also Nikki at the checkout was very helpful in refunding the incorrect washers that I had purchased the day before. Thank you to Halbeath Homebase staff, as always very friendly and helpful.

Homebase is great value for money

Tracy at the Glenrothes store and James at the Dunfermline store were very helpful today in getting me new wallpaper.

Purchased an item online for click and collect.
No issues whatsoever advised that item although they gave an hour to collect I received message within 15 mins advising my item was ready to collect
Excellent service couldn’t fault the shop assistant when I picked item up, very polite and efficient.

So pleased! I didn’t go in to buy anything today but I couldn’t help myself when I went into the garden centre! Shell was so helpful and gave me great advice for getting my garden ready.

Superb service from staff at Dunfermline store. Associate offered to help me to my car with a heavy item and even lifted it in herself! I’m very grateful for the help.
