On our visit to Homebase in Londonderry to buy our new kitchen we received excellent customer service from Stephanie, who went above and beyond as well as taking the time to design our dream kitchen which met all our needs and more. Couldn’t have had anyone better for this job. She was very informative and kept us in the loop for every little detail. Stephanie has shown extreme patience and is willing to go out of her way to help others create their dream kitchen suited best for them. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Thanks you so much again.

The collection was painless the problem was that there wasn't a male assistant about to help me load the order. It was both bulky and heavy and I do feel that someone to help would have been more customer friendly and considerate. I neglected to say that although reasonably fit I am a man of 80 and the order consisted of 6 bags of bark, 6 bags of topsoil, 3 bags of farmyard manure and weedkiller.

Brilliant experience from first contact to planning kitchen and ordering. Steph was ery informative and answered any questions we had.

I hired a carpet cleaner from homebase Derry. When I got home I noticed dirty residue in the water tank and dirt and pet fur in the filter. The machine had not been checked or rinsed since it was returned. The upholstery attachment also didn't connect properly so was faulty. The attachment was also filthy resulting in dirty water from the hose running out onto my floor.
When I tried to phone to report the fault there was no answer from the store advising me to go online. Of course I only realised the fault after pouring carpet cleaner which coats 16.99 a bottle into the water tank which had to be discarded for me to return the machine to the store.
Customer services were excellent in store and offered a replacement machine and complementary bottle of cleaner.

We had a wonderful experience in Homebase Derry recently. Kirsty our kitchen designer assisted us to make our dream of a new kitchen into a reality. She took the time to meet with us and brought our vision to life by showing us items in store and then designing the kitchen according to our space on screen. She was so professional from start to finish and always came back to us with a speedy response to any queries we had. Our new kitchen has transformed our home and it was very affordable given we took advantage of 50% off in the January sales and we even got a free dishwasher. We are delighted with the quality of our new kitchen and would really like to thank and recommend Kirsty again as she is excellent at what she does.

So just actually an update regards a previous review of this useless company.
Homebase have removed toilet facilities from its Northern Ireland stores, toilets are still in the stores but 2 that i have visited have the doors screwed shut to stop them being used. Homebase have replied and stated that they do not legally have to supply toilet facilities if they are not selling food. Their Derry store has a cafe with seating for 20+ people, yet even though they claim they will allow food customers access to toilet facilities they then in store claimed to me that they had recently had a fault and were waiting for someone to repair them. When called out on their lies they refused to allow me access to their staff toilets. While i was in their Omagh and Derry stores multiple people had come looking for toilet facilities while i was asking to use the staff toilets. People with disabilities, sickness, young children or anyone that enters your store as a prospective customer deserve your respect and not to have to beg to use a toilet. You.do not deserve to have customers and by the way just because the cafe is being leased by a 3rd party should not make your obligation to treat people with decency any less. Disgusting lack of decency and respect for people. Your companys mark up on products is scandalously higher than most locally run businesses. If Homebase cares more about their bottom line than being a caring retailer, if they cant afford to clean toilets for their overcharged customers, if they and their staff can't see that sending a parent with a small child or a person in a wheelchair to the MCDonalds across the car park is wrong then please close your Northern Ireland stores and p*ss off back across the water and allow a retailer who actually gives a damn to take your place. Again, you as a company disgust me. No need to reply unless it is to tell me that you are reopening the toilet facilities in all your Northern Ireland stores.

I ask a staff member for help and advice regarding electric showers to which he took time and explained what I needed to know. (Think he was called Kevin)

I found the experience to be very easy. The website was straightforward and the click and collect brilliant. The staff in cresecent link in Derry were friendly helpful and very professional. It was very convenient and a great, speedy service. Thank you.
