Homebase Streatham
Visited this store in late January to get a head start on this seasons plant sowings. Was greatly impressed by the range of Garden equipment and affordable prices. What really stands out about this store is that all of the product lines are well stocked. Good job!
well done on this occation
everything was available and ready to collect in no time.
I had times where I ordered and then got called as they did not have it and needed a refund as they stock level is never accurate.
So well done on this occasion.
Helpful once I got to speak to real people, but too reliant on online business
Your in house store folks were helpful once I got to them but I was directed away from a store and real people by your online support. As a result I wasted an entire order - you had to deliver it to me, I had to wait for it, then I had to return it. Whereas if I could have gone to a store in the first place, all of that effort would have been avoided

Dampen my enthusiasm
I had a bathroom designed from scratch for my new home. The bathroom designer was helpful, made some good suggestions and the process went very smoothly.
However, this good experience very quickly went bad! The delivery was missing several key items such as the floor and wall tiles and the mirror. The store did not inform me that these items were unavailable, and I ended up having to buy the tiles myself, at additional expense (I had already paid for the bathroom) with no explanation about why they had not been in the delivery and when, or if, they would be back in stock.
I had to fight for a refund, which took nearly a year and received a text message from a Homebase delivery partner some 10 months later advising me that my delivery was on the way.
Two members of staff at the store were very helpful and did their best to find solutions and deal with the issue. However, overall it was a bad experience and extremely poor customer service.

Great service received from Darnell
The young male who helped me with my order to the van was very helpful, well mannered and pleasant (I believe his name was Darnell). Thank you
I am very thankful that he was able to help me get it into the van.

Christmas shopping - time consuming
The member of staff had problems finding my package. He called for help and 15 minutes later - no one came. I went and searched the shop floor and eventually found someone. At this time of the year there should be more members of staff available on the cash desks and available to help

Staff were friendly and helpful
Staff were friendly and helpful. However we had to use the toilet and we’re kindly directed to the disabled toilet and I have to say I’ve seen and smelled cleaner farmyards! It was horrendous! I pity anyone with a disability that had to use that toilet! Other than that happy with service
Baffled CS
I ordered an item (544707509) on 4/12 that was not in stock at my local e Homebase, SW16 5YP. I arranged for it to be sent to the store for collection
The item arrived in good time and I went to collect it shortly a day or two later
When I arrived, the staff member asked me if it was Click & Collect or some similar scheme like Order & Pay. I was not aware of this and told him that I did not know. However, I showed him the text message that I had received instructing me to collect the itme as it was now in store
After spending a good deal of time searching his device, he concluded that he had no record of the order. He pointed to a small area near the service desk and said that it would be in there. He did not go there to look
After another block of time, he asked me if I could have ordered it by the second system. I had already told him that I was in the dark about that. He explained that items for the second system were in another small area next to the previously mentioned area, right off the service desk. He did not go to check there either
Only then did he look down the second list and found my order which had been there all the time. He scolded me, for lack of a better term, for not knowing with Homebase system I had used for the order
I do not recall having an option
Either the 2 systems whould be clearer and better explained or the staff should be better trained. If I had a confirm message, it should have stated which system had been used. Or, the staff menber could have assumed that if it was not one sytem it, most likely, was the second. And, he could have walked over 10' and looked. There were not that many items
I hope this helps
Only thenHe then
