Homebase - Tiverton Reviews 

Item ready next day for collection. I would have preferred and paid for delivery, but this branch doesn't seem to offer it.

Item wrongly labelled for price on the shelves. Not the first time this has happened.

I visited a Homebase store and was so happy I felt I had to give a review. From walking into the store and being greeted by friendly staff which went out of their way to serve me. Not being used to diy products I felt slightly embarrassed not knowing what drill I needed after I was served by a chap who I think was called Steve. He explained what drill i needed and the bits and bobs to do the job . Great service felt happy I had received the correct advice!

Homebase Tiverton is excellent for customer service, friendliness, and knowledge etc.

We had exceptional service from Lee regarding a purchase of a BBQ. He solved the problem within a minute with, curtesy, knowledge, care and exceptional service. All done with the assistance of David, who was equally superb.

Within a few minutes they had two very happy customers, which was not the same the previous day.
The day before seeing Lee and David we had the terrible experience of dealing with Jim, who was there for the day from Barnstable where I believe he is manager.

He was very rude, unhelpful and extremely difficult to have to deal with. He had no knowledge of Trading Standards and left us furious and seething with disbelief that he was ever employed by Homebase, let alone a manager.

Thank heavens he is not in charge of Tiverton, because we and probably many others would never return to Homebase again.

As it is , thanks to the good management at Tiverton we continue to sing its praises.

Easy online ordering and in-store collection process.

The ordering & arrangements for pick up were straightforward. I ordered large planting pots. Four were stacked inside each other & I was unable to separate them. One was already damaged with a crack. I had to have these refunded. Disappointing. The staff were understanding but there were no other pots for an exchange so I was refunded.

The very helpful staff when some of them were about to finish their shift, answering all my questions favourably and helping me pack my purchase in the car. Thank you so much.

I recently purchased 20 rolls of "fresh" lawn turf, which I was assured had been cut the previous day (Wednesday) and delivered to store the next day (Thursday). It was late afternoon on the Thursday when I bought them, and the rolls were all stacked outside the store on a pallet.

I selected what I thought were 20 of the best remaining rolls (they were all still rolled-up of course), and loaded them into the car.

Back at home I unloaded them, and as it was getting late, laid them out still rolled-up on the existing lawn ready to lay the following day.

Of the 20 rolls purchased, 4 were completely black and had to be thrown away, and approx a third of the remainder had black patches, which may or may not recover.

I should have rang to complain to the store, but they would have probably wanted them back, and to be honest I didn't want to go through with the hassle and effort to do that, as the store isn't exactly on my doorstep.

So, if you're looking to buy similar, even though it might be time consuming, I would consider checking every roll before you purchase from Homebase.

I had a paint voucher which a major building firm said they were sorry but couldn't process. No problem for Homebase in Tiverton. Harli, Sarah and Dave sorted it quickly and easily and I'm really grateful. Certainly go on going back there!

The staff were very helpful under trying circumstances (global systems shutdown). Couldn't have wished for better service

An amazing experience shopping in Tiverton Homebase! We went in very unprepared for what we needed for our house renovation and we were lucky enough to run into the amazingly helpful Sarah who spent a decent amount of time advising us on what we needed to get the job done. She helped us pick the perfect color paint as well! We would have been there squabbling for hours without her help. A truly valuable member of staff. The rest of the team we saw were wonderful as well. 10/10 experience. Very grateful for such support from our local store.

Had a lovely experience, staff member Sarah was very helpful when assisting me choose. I wasn’t sure what paint colour to choose but she helped me narrow down my choices and decide. Sarah also went out of her way to show me the equipment I needed for decorating and other items that go well with the style I want for my bedroom. Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful member of staff.

Very easy to make an order and the response to collect the item was speedy
