Poor Customer Service

Poor customer service, I ordered a storm security door and a custom made entry door. After a very long wait, once installed they were not what I ordered nor selected in the store. The security door was of far less quality than I paid for, and the entry door had a drilled in peep hole that was never inserted. Problem: the drilled hole was not the right size for any of the elements to fit. It was a fiberglass door so they couldn't rectify the mistake. Called the store manager and was passed around from one to the other. I finally contacted corporate. I thought we were making progress but what the offered me in return for their mistake was unacceptable. They stopped all communication after and the issue was never resolved.

I purchased a set of kitchen cabinets…

I purchased a set of kitchen cabinets on 4/21/26 delivery date was 5/5/26 maybe , was delivered on 5/16/26 it was supposed to be on 4 pallets they piled all up on 2 pallets one broke down and unsafe breaking down overloaded tilted the load of cabinets damaged 4 of them , the cabinets were turned over to H D and a replacement was ordered 5/16/26 now it is 5/30/26 the cabinets may be delivered on June 9 or 11 .
After complaining to chatbots , and live person Home Depot representatives I was told i would have to deal with the Hampton bay co of Dallas tx Home Depot is not responsible, lets see I did not broke the contract of placing the cabinets on 2 pallets instead of 4 , promes of delivery botched time and time again my project fell through the roof $$$ based on their lies and deception delivery and packaging I spent hours talking to chatbots and reps. That went nowhere and Home Depot washed their hands on my $4.000 + purchases that’s the CUSTOMER HOME DEPOT TREATMENT ,NOT RECOMMENDED STAY AWAY FROM THIS IDIOTS

I purchased a makita battery mower with free weed wacker memorial Day sale opened home depot credit card placed order. weed wacker showed up but mower never did called cust service told it is on its way called a few days later another cust service person said out of stock so I'll refund you the money. what the heck so I have a opened weed wacker now I have to repackage for ups to pick up tommorrow thanks for completely inconvienecing me and not giving a crap I am a contractor who spends thousands a year at your store who works on a lot of state jobs who belongs to a union so mabee myself and everyone I can talk into taking their business to menards or Lowe's thank you for nothing.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. They don't deliver as promised, and when you need to escalate because you're a week past delivery date, they put you on hold anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour without coming back to the line, or your call conveniently dropped. Have to call back several times. I have called everyday for 7 days, and no one can explain where my delivery is..just horrible..not to mention, the product is billed on my card, no product.

DO NOT RESERVE OR PAY ON ADVANCE! Home Depot Newark on Springfield Ave is…

Home Depot Newark on Springfield Ave is suspect! I paid for 5 panels and 3 poles to have ready for pick up today. Lo and behold I reserve their flat bed truck to go pick up these paid for panels to then be told, “oh there aren’t anymore in stock. We visually picked out the fencing and was told they’d be held til we came to get them. Not you can pay but we may sell them twice! I am livid because now I will have to pay to keep this rental for more time than necessary and use more mileage & gas to pick up at a different location because they do not honor their commitments nor respect their customers! This IS BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES! On top of that they held $150 for the flat bed then when I arrived it was cancelled but my money hadn’t been returned! After reserving yet another one for another $150 hold. That’s $300 they get to take for 24 hours & I’m well aware how $300 can be utilized. This is unacceptable to say the least, and corporate will he hearing from me.

Worst website in the world

Worst website in the world. Search for an item and it brings up everything but that item. Exclusion words ( -word) mean nothing and nothing is excluded. Search for "pre-hung interior door" and every door they carry, over 1000, comes up. Also, I have a commercial card, but that means nothing anymore.

Thanks to Antwone - A Customer Service Hero

I walked into a nearly empty Home Depot at 751 AM. I needed some help. I was looking for a very specific item in a huge store. Fortunately, I ran into Antwone. He was there - demonstrating his willingness to help - purely from his body language and attitude. I knew I could ask him and he would give me the help. He did - I got the best product of its kind in the store at the best price. Price was $2.13 - including tax. Point is that I was NOT someone coming in to buy a $1000 piece of equipment - and Antwone treated me with the level of professionalism and service as if I was. I noticed that on his Home Depot jacket there were multiple badges - like a Boy Scout or a NASCAR Driver. Turns out they were for exceptional job performance and great customer service. No surprise to me. Antwone, and others like him - are the foundations for a great business. Home Depot should be both proud and grateful to have him. He represents Home Depot with complete professionalism. Little things make a big difference. Thanks Antwone!

The Woodhaven Michigan branch is decent…

The Woodhaven Michigan branch is decent as long as you don't have to interact with staff, otherwise "customer service" desk is pretty awful!! I was looking at replacing gutters on a flip home I just bought and needed help picking up a matching color. The young lady at the service desk was lazy, short and plain rude. The manager was no help either.

Arbitrary limit on order

I purchased lumber in order to build a 100+ foot fence. The order included posts, concrete and cross members and pickets. I paid 79.00 for the delivery. I was limited to fifty pickets in the order. This amounts to approximately 25 feet of pickets for a 100+ foot fence. I ended up having to make several trips to pick up the other 145 pickets. The people at the local Home Depot did not believe me when I told them of the limit as they had tons of pickets available. There was no shortage, it was just an arbitrary limit. Ridiculous. In the future I will Order elsewhere.

Do NOT order cabinets from here

Do NOT order cabinets from here! They have messed up my order several times pushing my project back several weeks. They deliver half of my order then miss the other half. Put in a ticket and they never respond. The call center for customer service is useless. I had to reorder cabinets to complete my project and the SECOND TIME they were missing half of the cabinets delivering the top and not bottom BOTH times marking the delivery as complete. Worst experience ever and will not use them again. Going into 3 weeks and several calls to get the other half of a oven wall cabinet.

Home Depot run around

I ordered window blinds on-line from Home Depot. When the order arrived one item was damaged. One item was missing. The rest of the blinds were not the correct size that were ordered. I contacted Home Depot (1 hr on the phone) and they told me to put them outside and they would be picked up and credit me for the order. After multiple phone calls 3 weeks later they never picked up the returns. Still trying to resolve and I have a large charge on my credit card bill with no resolution.

Why does the score not surprise me

Why does the score not surprise me. My landlord bought carpet, asked for quick installation. I had to juggle MY work schedule to accommodate them, move everything in my tiny apartment, and they said nevermind. They said they could do another day, which i can't, but the landlord will be here. Do they want minimal supervision? Are they bonded? Can I trust them? Or do they just not give a crap about working people. Judging by their practices, they don't understand the concept of working people who need to show up for jobs.

Bad Install--basement flooding--3 days…

Bad Install--basement flooding--3 days of begging for help and they say, "We are closed for the Holiday weekend".

I have 2 feet of water in my basement--flooding ongoing. I can't turn off the water because it feeds my whole resort and I have 50 guests here.
I ask if I can just call a plumber.
Their supervisor says, yes, but we won't pay for that.
So just keep flooding until we get around to calling you.
I am on Day 3 and my other appliances are sitting in a foot of water. My $20K boiler too.

DISGUSTING.

I Waited 2 Weeks to be Disappointed

I waited almost 10 days to find out when I'd receive a delivery of $3K worth of flooring. When I did get the call, I arranged for it between 8:00am and 8:00pm on May 23. As of 7:30pm, I still hadn't heard anything. I called the store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to see what was up. I was told they couldn't tell me because they can't contact the driver (really?) and that hopefully the delivery showed up before 8:00pm. I asked what happened if it didn't and they said I should call back to see when it would be scheduled again. Seriously? Was also told I "should" get a call for rescheduling after the truck returned around 8:30pm. 36 hours later and nothing. I have no idea where my flooring is and a contractor booked for install. Pathetic.

Same old wine in a brand new bottle.

I bought a dishwasher.
I live in Texas.
There is sales tax discount in effect this weekend (memorial weekend).
Home depot would not acknowledge it.
Lowes gave me the discount plus free shipping.
Then the depot said they were not aware of the discount, ìThen flip flopped.
The home depot's new slogan should be " Anything to screw the customer."
This happens regularlly.
