Sunday evening....water suddenly pouring down through my livingroom roof - some 2l in 15 mins and the leak lasted an hour. NPA provides emergency 24/7 support for One Housing Group. Both organizations are rather useless in any form of resident support in an emergency or otherwise.
A major leak where property occupier wasn't available to answer was received with the following response:
- if it's not your property where the leak started we have to wait for that property owner to contact us
- no, we have no access to emergency contact with the Housing Association or how to contact the tenant
- turning off the water for the entire floor is also not an option;
- if the light is on but the owner doesn't respond I don't know what you do; yes, call the police if you want
- also you are a leaseholder so we don't cover you for support and we can't assist you.
- ok, so I checked with the supervisor and we have the number to the tenant. I will call her. It's not her? Oh... That is all thank you, goodbye.
No reference number, no follow up, no supervisor available on call (works from home). On a second call, I was asked for a reference number! after prompting I found they have an escalation process but without ETA and no one could tell me what the process is.
You would think OHG and their suppliers like NPA27/4 will care that doors are not knocked down by a fire brigade, that major water damage is not done to their properties, would be curious if the rate of water could be from a washing machine, tap or is it a burst pipe... no. They just "provide the service" to themselves for which we pay. The service of having a website with a phone number manned by very unpleasant and disinterested staff with no initiative or inkling for the meaning of the word "Service" or "24/7"
The reply to my concerns is below- useless. Landlords: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or risk damage to your property!

Diabolical service received from NPA. Called to fix a minor issue and ended up making it worse and causing a much more serious issue with my boiler. They are now refusing to come and fix the issue claiming a disclaimer was signed.
Who signs a disclaimer saying that although you have come to fix something if they further damage it then they will not be held responsible. The company is not fit for purpose!!
Update: NPA have written responses underneath to give the illusion that they are willing to offer a resolution. Informed today that my case is closed and that’s the end of it as I am not covered! Ridiculous, I will relentlessly be escalating this you need to be held accountable. The workers are liars and unskilled!

I have a long story which I won't bore you with and after trying to get my issues deal with by many people I was left frustrated and stressed. That was until I spoke with a customer relations officer named Joanne Kelly who worked in this company complaints team. This lady was absolutely fantastic. She took responsibility for my case and dealt with me in a courteous and very professional manner. We did reach an agreement that suited both parties which was welcome. Joanne was so supportive and thorough in dealing with my case I felt the need to let others know. I hope her company look after because she is a gem.

NPA did not come out to fix a leak , it caused untold damage. Finally when the ceiling below started bowing I called an emergency plumber myself as NPA247 said I could pay and then send them the receipt for re-imbursement.
I e-mailed them my invoice on the 7th of January, it is now the 21st of February. Every week I call them and they promise that someone will call me and transfer the funds into my account. Every single week no-one calls me back and the £440 owed does not arrive in my account.
How is this acceptable?? They are not even on Resolver and the complaints phone number is exactly the same number as customer services. How do I get this resolved......

I called out npa24:7 for a trickle leak coming through my ceiling and they fixed this, but ended up causing total heating and hot water failure on one of the coldest weekends of they year. Prior to their visit both had been working perfectly. The plumber said all sorts was wrong with the boiler and they refused to fix it (despite having caused it in the first place). When my own plumber came out he fixed it and said the boiler did not have the issues npa24:7 had claimed it had.

I would give no star but I have to give at least 1 star to write review. I inform you that this is con. Do not buy policy. I called to repair leak toilet flush but plumber did not fix because I have the second toilet in the house. I called consecutive a week to fix leak but they refuse to stop leakage because it is not an emergency....

Terrible service. Paid for a boiler service over 2 weeks ago and still no contact to book it in. Chased several times, appalling service and still no ones contacted me. I want a refund
Update - another week and a half has passed and still no one has contacted me. What a joke!

Communication with the customer needs to improve. I should not have to call 3 times to request an appointment, especially when I have to pay for the service up front.

I have to say my experience was very good. I was asked to source a contractor to repair my boiler, pay them for the work and claim back the money from NPA247. I sent them the invoice had a call asking for BACS details I emailed that over, it all went very well. I thought it would be grief. Thank you NPA247.

I called the home emergency number and was told when the man would arrive, which he did.The engineer fitted the new part within an hour getting everything working correctly and also leaving the room spotless.Ten out of ten.

Booked for boiler annual check but didnot turn up. I called and they promised to come that evening but did not turn up. I paid the money but absolutely rubbish service!

I placed a review on Tuesday 20.08.19. Highlighting the very poor service. Basically taking the money for a service then not turning up. The company are refusing to return my calls, emails and refunding my money.
While they have ignored all my communications they did respond to my review asking for further details. I did provide these needless to say they have since ignored my email. They obviously responded on trustpilot in an attempt to make their customer service look better.
As I've said before please avoid this company at all costs. I'm in the process of making a claim through my credit card as this is the only option left to get my money back.

Came out to a job a short while ago where my tenants and their children had no hot water or heating.
The first day my tenant waited for them but it was a no-show. Then took a week to sort out with no communication in between and abysmal follow up as their engineer left the boiler with a flashing light saying it was 'OK'.

Heating stopped working at 9 pm last Thursday, company contact at 9-15 pm. Friday morning call at 8-30 to advise engineer would be with us at lunchtime
Engineer arrived as promised, two faults corrected system now working fine
My boiler and unvented cylinder service was booked and paid for, no one arrived on the day meaning I was out of work. Called and was told the booking had been arranged incorrectly, rescheduled the booking and was then told again that the contractor didn't have the necessary tools to undertake the unvented cylinder service (meaning my girlfriend was out of work), third rearrangement of the booking the contractor came and did the service but did not provide me with a certificate of the boiler and unvented cylinder service. I have contacted NPA since and entered into their complaint process which I have seen no result from and have still not received a service certificate over a month later.
Just allowed from hospital after 7 months. Brain haemorrhage, aunerism , followed by a stroke. Had a bad leak a week ago, so npa24/7 nominated Metro Rod, who did a temp fix, using masking tape over the hole. Not heard from for 1 week, I had a major surge of water on Thursday night, so I called United Utilities. They turned the Water Off at the outside main. I called NPA24/7 yesterday and the reason for zero communication from them, was because of my aggressive behaviour last week! I never met Metro Rod or there engineer, although I did chase them up while I had to return to hospital. My Dad died and I’m now at home. Ive no water at all and NPA24/7 will try and get someone to call me back. They may get a part on Monday or Tuesday. The engineer will have to put holes in the base of my kitchen units. A newly installed Kitchen, fitted by Omega at a cost of £54,000 and the engineer needs to put holes in it??
I spoke with Carl, a telephone operator and he explained his boss is out of the office and he doesn’t have a mobile phone to call him on. He explained it would be Monday or Tuesday before he can obtain the part (a new stop cock) and someone will be in touch.
I have the situation, I need to shower. I need a toilet and I should be able to receive the service I’ve paid for. I’m just out of hospital after 7 months, my Dad died on Monday night and I’m in rehabilitation following brain surgery.
NPA24/7 will pay £200 for a hotel, until the repair is completed. I don’t think this amount will last for a hotel until next Wednesday for two rooms, each night.
The telephone operators are trained in accepting no responsibility or allowing you to speak to anyone with authority.
If this company wants to operate in this field, they should be transparent with there customers. Its always me ringing them and I’m so stressed with this unacceptable situation. I’m disabled and it’s unreasonable to expect me to accept this service, not because I’m disabled and unwell, but because I should be able to wash, use the toilet and cook food.
