We went to Honest Burger Finsbury Park and we had a mixed experience. Antonio who served us was lovely and was apologetic about the long wait that we had to get our food. It appeared that the Uber Eat... See more

It’s been over 10 years and we’d like to think we’re now pretty good at burgers and chips. It’s been a bit of a blur, a lot of hard work, but that’s been half the fun. Good enough just isn’t good enough here. We don’t mean to brag but we’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ll let our food and people do the talking. After all, we’re Just Being Honest… From day one, we wanted to make the best British burgers on any menu, anywhere. So we spent time getting to know the best butchers in London. And we’re butchers too. We’ve opened our own butchery so we can make the burgers we’d always dreamed of. Our way. From scratch. Our beef comes from British native breed cows farmed in Great Britain & Northern Ireland. They’re grass-fed and well looked after with space to roam in the fields during spring, summer and autumn and only see a barn when it’s too cold outside during winter. We’ve also got our own butchery, making our burgers from scratch every single day.

My order wasn't delivered and they took…
My order wasn't delivered and they took no responsibility for it. Ok so Uber ( blurgh!!! ) were responsible for the delivery but ultimately it was Hones t burgers responsibility to opt for a partner that can DELIVER ! Spent a lot of money this last few weeks with them. They just lost a customer.
Ignored Allergen Information
On 24th October 2024, I ordered an Ultimate Cheddar Burger via Uber Eats. The app holds my allergen information and I also asked for the Chive Confit Garlic Mayo to be removed. This is because I have a severe egg allergy.
The allergen requirements were not adhered to. I took a couple of bites trusting that they would have been, having been a customer for a number of years.
My mouth started to go numb and on checking there was clearly the chive mayonnaise hidden undermeath the burger.
I suffered with ill effects of eating some of the burger e.g numb mouth, joints swellimg, severe itching and a rash all due to the staff not following the dietary requirements clearly set out on my order.
I called the restaurant Honest Burger Camden 020 3597 6259 and was advised that a manager would call me the next day.
Initially, I did not receive a call from the branch that dealt with my order and had to escalate my complaint via another branch.
I was then contacted by the branch manager who asked permission for my details to be passed to a third party investigator 'Food Alert.'
As yet I have I have not had any further contact from Honest Burger, no official apology for their error in providing food despite order notes stating allergens to be omittied.
I delayed writing this review to give Honest Burgers Area Managment Team time to contact me directly however, I have heard nothing at all.
Considering the nature of the issues I experienced due to their staff neglect, I am incredibly disappointed. Not something I would have expected from this company. Incredibly poor customer service.
Supermarket Burger
In a world where so much food is possibly vegetarians and vegans are not expected to eat a delicious protein, they are given either a grainy burger or a supermarket burger that costs £5 for two but we are charged £15.50 for one.
Do the meat eaters get supermarket burgers too?
Stale oil burger
I had the Waterloo burger - the oil the burger was cooked in must have been stale as taste was just off - didn’t taste great at all but was hungry so ate it - chips were a bit soggy, burger patty had little to no flavour . And now whilst write this review feel wish I hadn’t eaten it as just not a great after feeling . Never again . Service was decent and so two stars . Food was not good at all
Very nice experience
Very nice experience! I tried Honestburgers in London for the first time and was very happy with the service - It's a nice, kid-friendly, spacious environment and the burgers and fries are very good. The only thing I was missing was a bit more fresh, green veggies to choose from, but otherwise the meal was a good one, and really nice place to go to with your family.
Really Good Value
Really good value for money! Always a lovely time out with the family and the service, especially the one in Windsor is bang on.
One of the best burgers I’ve tasted for…
One of the best burgers I’ve tasted for a very long while. Had the single smashed as a light lunch with the coleslaw. Whilst the burger delivered in taste I’m afraid I was disappointed in the slaw. It lacked taste and seemed more like a shredded cabbage. Still, I would recommend this place.

Charged £1.20 for an almost empty pot of sauce which was delivered with my meal - requested refund for the item which was rejected. Terrible customer service. Was a long time customer and will not be ordering ever again.
Really tasty good value good
Really tasty good value good, I will be back!
Incredible
Multiple restaurants visited now, some of the best burgers I have ever had.
Honest Burger in Bristol
Honest Burger in Bristol. Three of us are coeliac and it's extremely hard to find good burgers that are safe for us to eat. Not only were these safe but they were spectacular, almost made us cry they were so delicious! None of us had any symptoms following our meal, so we will definitely be returning. Staff were very friendly and reassuring. We had a wonderful evening, thank you.
"DISHONEST "burgers
This was my first experience with these people. Last time was 5 guys and no complaints.
Although kid were insisting we go there again, they agreed to give another place a chance.i had also bought into their hype.
I spent £53 eat in on 3 burgers only -me and 2 kids at Baker St. i shudder to think how much if we ordered any drinks etc.
Fist of all, there are no prices on line.or if they are there, i couldnt find them.
I used the menu at the table, the burger prices are there but I had no idea that any extra sauces are 1.20 each! This should be clearly displayed .
Then there is the vat and 'compulsory' service charge. All not clearly displayed. Otherwise I wouldn't be whining now.
All this spoiled what was a good burger and so no reason to go again or recommend to others.
Don't know if this has anything to do with recent/imminent hedgfund takeover.
Very bad experience at Honest Burger…
Very bad experience at Honest Burger Greenwich.
Ordered 2 burgers online. Upon arrival, I waited 20 minutes until I was told that they have not received my order. They confirmed the payment was successful but they could only start preparing my order after my 20 minutes wait.
At the end, I have waited more than 30 minutes in the shop for an online order, which is exactly opposite to the purpose of pre-ordering.
Missing items again
Avoid Honest Burger Greenwich at all costs especially if you order collection. Managed to lose my online order then when l produced the receipt they still got it wrong even though l asked them to double check, out of pocket not for the first time. Phoned to complain but no callback from manager and just kept saying they will find a solution when a refund on my card is the only way to resolve. Left feeling very frustrated. Not local so unable to confront staff.
Great Tasting Burgers and Chips
One of the best burgers and chips in London. Staff is friendly and food is served realtively quickly. Prices are on par with similar restaurants. However, when picking up food, they sometimes forget to give condiments or give too little.
Initially the waiter was friendly and…
Initially the waiter was friendly and welcoming and made it very clear I was receiving the offer available.
He took the time to sit and have a chat but kept the most relevant info. to himself, such as how much the final bill would be.
Notwithstanding the incredibly inflated cost for a can of coke the service charge eroded the saving / offer.
I walked out feeling fed, but with a bad taste in my mouth as the waiter was not honest - I felt conned, (Apparently the charge is discretionary).
At Reading.
Do they actually know the meaning of the word HONEST? This food is MENDACIOUS
I’ve decided to post this because as a treat for my kids who have all variously achieved lots of good things this week, we decided to splash out on a burger takeaway, and it as a huge, very expensive disappointment. We selected HONEST burgers Over other companies that my kids were angling for such as Burger King because I, like an idiot, assumed that the high prices and the meaning of their name was a guarantee of quality. It’s say I have now revised this naive assumption.
We ordered a ‘smashed’ burger (a beef burger), a couple of chicken burgers and two vegan burgers and lots of chips and onion rings. Overall the food was terrible.
I could not eat my shockingly awful smashed burger; it wouldn’t even have tasted nice if I myself had been smashed, but I am wondering whether that’s how they manage to get any decent reviews at all…? Is it because their clients are normally too drunk to be able to judge bad food for what it is? in which case, what an apt name. It was pathetic and didn’t look anything like the picture. There was no sauce, no cheese, nothing dripping out of it all, unlike in the photo. I wish I’d taken a picture. It tasted rancid, like the very bottom scrapings of last week’s beef.
My kids had the vegan burgers which they found underwhelming, but they were horrified as were we all by the really terrible cold, chewy chips, most of which were actually tiny little chippings of chips, not long slender sticks. Literally more like woodchips. (I did take a picture.) The chicken was ok, soft on the inside but it’s a copout to deep fry everything, just to disguise the true flavour. You end up with no flavour but salt and fat. It’s a cheap trick. Onion rings were light and crispy and very bland. After we had eaten our meal which cost nearly £100, we all felt miserable and unsatisfied.
I am honestly baffled as to how they have managed to get any stars at all. And it is a real insult to the name ‘honest’!
Quality and price excellent in London Borough
Quality and price affordable.
I suggest London Borough because it has a
Excellent service with Jessica!
All the hamburgers and the food are delicious !
Fair food, nice view
Had a meal with friends at honest burger at St Katherine Dock.
The burger was a bit dried and the chips were fine. The good thing is the stunning view and wind at St Katherine Dock.
