Bought vouchers for my son and his wife…
Bought vouchers for my son and his wife for christmas so they could have a relaxing break before baby is due. However he has been unable to redeem them and looking at the reviews a lot of people have their rooms cancelled on arrival! So can they trust booking it even if they could and no room available on arrival. Doesn't deserve 1 star.
Scam of a company!!!
Scam of a company!!!! Do not touch!!! they cancelled my booking after taking my money. I only found out when I was checking in to my hotel in Portugal.
£500 - Holiday rip off
My husband and I had been given a £500 voucher as a wedding gift. Firstly, booking somewhere was a complete nightmare, however, I did get responses to my emails and they were very helpful (but also fleeced me for another £20 to make up the difference in the cost of the holiday). Anyway, we arrived at the hotel on 22 April 19 after a 9 hour drive to find that on 18 April 19, the holiday had been cancelled. The hotel tried to contact them and could get no response. Interestingly enough they did have some rooms (thankfully) at half what we had been charged!!!!! Needless to say holiday ruined and everyone is out of pocket. Absolutely disgusted!!!!!!!! I've tried to contact them but as yet no response - don't expect one! Just another SCAM! I will be contacting trading standards.
AN AUDIENCE WITH THE DIRECTOR
AN AUDIENCE WITH THE DIRECTOR
If you’re a consumer/creditor affected by the proposed liquidation of this company, please email Dane.O'Hara, Neil.Bennett and Andy.John at Leonard Curtis - the proposed liquidators - WITHOUT DELAY to request a formal creditors’ meeting.
This is your chance to ask questions of the company director about where your money is, why vouchers were still sold to innocent people when he couldn’t honour the ones he’d already taken money for, why you weren’t told your bookings had been cancelled and were left to turn up at hotels and pay again (if you could afford to), why the director chose to spend money on British Travel Awards tables at a time he knew innocent people weren’t getting their money back, why his signed, but unaudited Statement Of Affairs has some rather dubious records included, and much more.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
HOTEL VOUCHER SHOP.This company are disgusting. I retired last year from my job in a day nursery. My co-workers and parents of the children put towards vouchers for me as my present. I was thrilled as my husband and I had decided to do some exploring. I have tried to redeem these vouchers on several occasions. After one particularly annoying attempt I emailed them and received an automatic reply stating that the website was down for maintenance. I tried again a couple of days later only for the same thing to happen. I have today reported them to Trading Standards, but as it seems they have gone into liquidation, the lady wasn't very hopeful about getting our money back but the more people that complain we may get somewhere, The telephone number is 03454 04 05 06. They are Ltd company and that number is 5660503. The lady at Trading Standards also said to possibly try the Insolvency Service to get some results, but again not very hopeful. Their number is 0300 678 0015. Lets try and get some recompense for all the innocent people affected by this despicable company. By the way there isn't an option to not give a star otherwise that's what I would have given.
Bring in the fraud squad and not the insolvency firm
Chris Orrell, the director of this company, deserves to be prosecuted and serve a custodial sentence for his treatment of innocent, hard working people. Not allowed to continue operating a business (Hotel Exclusives/Travel Circus) and posting offers on his social media sites from We Work offices in Kings Cross. The company's British Travel Awards should be removed, he is not fit to be a company director, and the police should and will be notified about how is attempting to wriggle out of this by applying for compulsory liquidation.
In administration
Vouchers arrived quickly but now have been informed that the company are in liquidation
Please join our group and contact the liquidators
Can I urge anybody who has been scammed by this company to join the Facebook group #paybackfaye. We are a group of people who have all been affected by their fraudulent behaviour and are trying our best to claim our hard earnt cash back. The more people that contact the liquidators and detailing their case the more chance we have of bringing this company to justice for stealing our cash and ruining our well deserved holidays.

They're a SCAM!!
A friend gave us a £30 voucher after hearing that my husband is terminally ill, thinking we could spend it at a hotel we had already booked through Best Western, a company HVS purport to work with. I eventually discovered I had to use the voucher only by booking direct with HVS so thought I would put it towards another break. HAHA!!! I've been trying for months to book somewhere on their website, I've emailed them, rung them but have found it impossible to get anywhere with them. Just tried the website again and can't even get it to do a search in any of my chosen areas. DON'T TOUCH THIS LOT - THEY ARE A SCAM!!! I'm just so angry that my friend spent £30 on a really thoughtful gift and it was totally wasted money.
Scam company
I would give 0 zero stars - I had booked Melville Castle on behalf of a friend with a £50 voucher from hotelvouchers.com in which they had added the rest of the amount with their bank card. I hadn't felt confident with the third party site so contacted the hotel directly who very pleasantly confirmed they had received the booking and as this was for a special occasion they even added breakfast free of charge so was confident all was running smoothly. The couple arrive on Friday afternoon to be told Hotelvouchers.com had cancelled their booking on 17th April (2 days prior to arrival) with no notification or reason. This company have not only stolen all the money for this hotel stay they ruined what was supposed to be a romantic birthday getaway. The hotel advised this happened to another couple who booked via this site that were going for their anniversary. I have looked to complain on the website however looking at other reviews I don't have much confidence I will get very far so may need to go further.

I am hugely disappointed in the service…
I am hugely disappointed in the service received from this company. My elderly mother asked me to buy tokens on her behalf for her to give to my brother on his 60th birthday. £200 represented a significant expense for her.
When my brother and his wife attempted to use the tokens, they experienced a series of problems. They contacted HVS who assured them that it would all be resolved in a few days and there has been no communication since.
Meanwhile I have written to the company using email, Facebook and the messaging service on their website. Apart from one automated reply, I have had no response at all.
A few minutes searching the internet makes it clear that our experience is typical. The good reviews that I checked quickly before buying the tokens largely write about how quickly the vouchers are delivered. How I wish I'd read them more carefully.
I would advise anyone to steer well clear of this company.
