Bought £150 voucher for my brother for Xmas and he booked a hotel in Oxford, the booking was cancelled by hotelvouchershop and funilly enough their booking site is now down.
I have emailed them for an explanation, nothing.
They are criminals, do not use them
Never used this company but I this it’s…
Never used this company but I think it’s hilarious that they make fake accounts to write fake reviews for their fake company. They only respond to the fake positive reviews but ignore the negatives... all of the positive reviews are first names only and no picture.. pathetic
scam Company
How are these people still in business!!.W have just been to London and the hotel on arrival said our booking had been cancelled two days prior. Not by us !! . On looking at the reviews this seems to be a common practice by this company. We tried contacting but no phone answer only by email which can be ignored. This was a Christmas present from our children and they have been scammed. The positive reviews are on how quick they receive their vouchers. The negative reviews are actually using them.
cant redeem voucher
cant redeem voucher, no phone number. not replied to mails. want money back!
I can only echo what other reviewers…
I can only echo what other reviewers are saying. I have been trying to redeem my £100 voucher without success. This was a Christmas gift from someone who doesn’t have much money so cannot afford to lose money. This site needs shutting down ASAP.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. The whole booking system needs an update. Redeeming the vouchers painful, trying to contact them is impossible. They give a 1-2 day response time. We are still waiting 4 days later after numerous emails. Having booked our holiday back in November for this Easter we find out that the hotel does not have our booking at all. Luckily we phoned before hand to check on something as otherwise it would have been a very long drive, only for us to have nowhere to stay. Unhappy and angry. They are either very short staffed at Hotel Voucher and inundated with queries/complaints if anything goes by the reviews on here or just do not care.
I have same issues web site appears to…
I have same issues web site appears to be down or company folded. What annoys me is that I received the vouchers from KLM Airlines - you would have thought they would have checked out this company!
Complete scam
Complete scam. Had a £250 voucher which was used to book a 3 night stay. Arrived at the hotel to find that the booking had been cancelled by hotel voucher shop a week earlier, without notifying me.
Phoning them is completely useless as they fob you off like they have no idea what you're talking about. Don't waste your energy with claiming a refund or additional voucher, it won't happen. Just report this disgraceful practice to trading standards and hope that no more people are conned.
Website comstantley down.
Received a £100 voucher as a wedding present this year and have tried to use it several times but website constantly down. Tried to contact them but got an automatic reply which was a total waste of time.
Wish someone from hotel voucher would come on and advise what they are doing as there seems to be a lot off people with these waste of space vouchers.

Do not buy from this website!
Same as everyone else writing here:
- no hotels available for any location, can only ever ser options if I say my baby is 2 years old, not 1
- no responses to emails EVER and no number to call
- voucher code sent only had 30 pounds on it when the email said 150 pounds, which is what the gifter paid
- redeem website down for more than 2 weeks now and no response.
- if you are lucky enough to find a hotel, it Costs twice as much as it would to book direct. Absolute rip off!
Absolute scam! Do not buy from this website!
I have try to get in touch with company…yes
I have try to get in touch with company and they will no answer my emails or phone. This bad
Hotel Scam
I'm in the same boat as many of the TrustPilot posters here. I have both received a voucher that I can't redeem due to the website constantly being "down for maintenance" and have bought a voucher which the recipient used to book a hotel, only to find on arrival that the hotel had no record of their reservation. Like others, I'm finding that emailing is a waste of time; my last email has gone unheeded.
I contacted the fraud team at my bank but they couldn't help as too much time had elasped since buying the voucher. The bank advised contacting Trading Standards or the Citizens Advice Bureau - has anyone done this?

It looks very likely that this business…
It looks very likely that this business has folded. Unable to get any response to emails for some time now. Any business can get into difficulty but this one is acting against the interests of its customers and seems to have earned a reputation for taking money and failing to provide the services booked.
I challenge any director/officer of the business to come clean confirm what is actually happening.
Shameful.
DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM HOTELVOUCHERSHOP.COM
DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FROM HOTELVOUCHERSHOP.COM.
I have spent months trying to book a hotel room using a £50 Birthday gift voucher from this company. It is IMPOSSIBLE...no hotel rooms available, anywhere, on any date. Their website has no telephone contact, complaints made to their online address simply returns a nonsense automated reply to which you cannot respond! So, there is no way of making a complaint or getting help. This was supposed to be a special thank you gift from a dear friend, who has clearly wasted her hard-earned money. Given the huge number of similar awful experiences listed here, I intend to report this company to BBC’s Watchdog as hotelvouchershop.com is clearly a fraudulent company that needs investigating ASAP. Received a voucher for Christmas. Lots of problems booking due to website being very poor. Finally booked after weeks waiting for a response.
Arrived at hotel yesterday to be told our booking had been cancelled. I checked with hotel last week and they confirmed they had the booking so it was cancelled 2 days before we arrived. Nobody told us this until the hotel told us when we arrived.
No refund and no response from company.
Now I understand they just take your money and book through another website like Expedia in our case. So you may as well go direct yourself.
I can only presume the company is about to go bankrupt as I see lots of others are having the same problem, so just don’t use them.
Had to pay for room!
Made multiple mistakes, including cancelling the voucher so that when we arrived we had to pay full price for the room. Still no refund after 3 months of chasing. Shocking.
Cannot stress enough the previous…
Cannot stress enough the previous comments made - DO NOT USE HOTEL VOUCHER SHOP. Web site does not work to redeem or book hotels, no telephone number available and no response from email.
The payment for the voucher was made by my sister as a gift via her debit card. I contacted Citizen's Advice who then advised she contacted the bank the purchase was made from (Halifax). Thankfully this bank operates a charge back scheme and after taking the details, they refunded the money back into her account immediately.
Even a 1 star rating seems too much for this bunch of fraudsters.
Impossible to redeem the voucher
Impossible to redeem the voucher we got as a gift. No reply to any communication. Do not buy these vouchers.
