I bought this voucher for my brothers…
I bought this voucher for my brothers 50th birthday who lives in Australia. I understand that post can be delayed but by nearly a week late was a disappointing. Also on the website you can put in message but when my brother received it it had nothing on it to say who it was from or his birthday message...luckily I sent him a separate card. I had sent customer service a email to see what was happening about the voucher as I thought it had gotten lost and it took 3 days to get a reply. The next time I will look else where for a gift.

I have been trying unsuccessfully for 8 days to redeem my £200.00 Golden Wedding Voucher.
I have Emailed them numerous times ,provided them with my home tel.no.to contact me directly. All to no avail.
.As in common with all the other posts I have checked the site each day with the same response "No Results" no matter which City or which date I have entered
I am about to contact the Press and will point them to this Review page.
At least the publicity will flush out if we have all been scammed !!!

Is the Holiday Voucher shop still in existence?
As with the other customers I am finding it difficult to book a hotel. Everyone of the 150,000 hotels they advise that they cover has disappeared. Managed to book a hotel about a month ago and that went through easily. Mind you I hope by the time September arrives my booking is still valid. Also my booking is with a hotel where I hold a loyalty card with the group and I am being advised that I don't qualify for points because I didn't make the booking direct. Another one to sort out.

Disappointed
We have been trying to redeem our voucher for days but the website won’t let us. Emailing customer services is a complete waste of time as they don’t reply or just send out a generic one.
We are trying to redeem this voucher for our 20rh wedding anniversary....it’s in 4 weeks but at this rate we won’t have a hotel booked. Infuriating....

Superb Service
I ordered a voucher for a competition winner and it is such a simple and easy process to follow. You could have the voucher emailed but as this was I prize I opted for the gift card which was to be posted out 3-5 working days from order. It arrived within this timescale in a nice presentation envelope and easy instructions on how to use the voucher.

Basically seems to be a scam
Basically seems to be a scam. AVOID!
I don't generally write reviews, but felt compelled to with these guys! I've basically given up trying to use the voucher which was given to me (which could well be/is presumably hotelvouchershops aim/business model).
Couldn't book anything, couldn't speak to anyone.
A blend of:
a) Few/No hotels available
b) Hotels when they are there are over priced (i.e. more expensive than on hotels own site. Claim price match but see below as ignore emails etc...)
c) Couldn't pay difference for more expensive hotel (tried multiple known valid cards)
d) No response to emails (i.e. just ignore or several days later send unrelated cut and paste response)
e) Cannot be called, and when you request a call they state they cant call you as they're an online business.
I note the numerous identical review here and on Facebook and then the staple responses of some how making out these are not systemic failings but rather an oversight/email issue.

We do cover over 150,000 hotels worldwide which we do feel gives us high variety in hotel. Unfortunately it is beyond our control if we don't have a hotel available in your desired area.
As per our terms and conditions, we do advise that we are an online only service so we are unable to call out or receive calls. We do also advise in our auto-responder that we aim to respond to all emails within 2 working days.
We do have a price match guarantee on the occasion that we are found to be more expensive than the hotel directly and our customer support team can explain the process.
It is never our intention for our customers to feel that they have had a bad experience with us and we would really like to rectify the situation.

Great, easy. We sent it to a customer and she loved it. All I would say, critically, is that she called us to ask how to use the voucher.
So the voucher email could be a little clearer OR customers sending as a gift should take time to explain the 'how-to' process.

Say goodbye to your cash
If you are lucky to get hold of your voucher, you need to fight over the next mission impossible as not only their Redeem page doesnt load properly (I have tried on various computers at various times), only half a page loads up which is unusable.
If you are then lucky to catch a full page load, either that you will not find the hotel you wanted to book at all (!), or surprise, surprise, rooms at that hotel wont be available on the dates you want and so you are left with a more pricier options.
Also, important to note that this company is not regulated by any official establishment. Once you are parted with your money, you have no way to bring them to justice, other then going to court. There is voluntary Consumer protection organisation, but the company does not respond to the complaints.
Please share this with your family and friends on any media you can, prevent your loved ones losing their hard earned cash.
