Howdens - Chichester Reviews 93

I went in to Howden's to buy a utility room cabinet and work top on 2/04/26, just before the Easter weekend. The shop assistant who assisted me was very uncommunicative and hesitant. Eventually I agreed to have a unit delivered from the Bognor branch and came away with just the work top on the day.
The assistant failed to inform me that the work top finishing end tape was not included with the work top, so today, 7/04/26, I had to return for this. I had to ask him if it was self-adhesive. It wasn't, so again I had to ask for adhesive. I was offered 2 choices, so I asked for the cost difference. It was suggested I take the roll of adhesive tape. I asked again for the cost difference and after a hesitation and mumbling I was given the information to make my choice. It was like 'pulling teeth'.
I suggested that in the future he ensures customers are aware of what is and isn’t included in a purchase. I also suggested that he check whether the customer has all the additional bits required for assembling the item. I received a mumbled response. I did also suggest that an apology for these oversights would have been appreciated. A feeble 'sorry' was all that was given.
On a positive the delivery of the cabinet was seamless and the driver kept me informed of status and anticipated delivery time.
The products are decent value for money, but the customer service I received was inadequate.

We have recently installed a Howdens kitchen and couldn't be happier. The help we had from our account manager at Howdens Chichester was amazing - she steered us in the right direction and advised and supported us through the entire process. We now have my dream kitchen which is excellent quality and gives me everything I wanted (and need) in a kitchen.

Great service from Howdens Chichester (Olga especially with the kitchen design)

we were after new cupboard doors, taps & hob and they provided a friendly and helpful service, particularly carrie and emily.
they allowed us to take away sample doors for home viewing, and after selection gave us a free home delivery.
they also have good coffee & biscuits in store, while perusing items!
our new kitchen looks excellent - thanks howdens!

We found the Acoustic Slatted Wall Panelling we wanted on Howdens website. I called to see what they had in stock and they advised they had some samples and can order and deliver with 2 days.
We visited Howdens and found I had to reactivate my account which was very easy.
We ordered our panels on the Wednesday and they were delivered on the Friday.
Everyone we dealt with was very helpful.

Great service great attitude

Generally helpful but not very organised.
Staff didn't know what was happening & kept giving different stories.
The finance side was very poor. Staff didn't know what was owed & what was paid for. They sent an email for final payment when an invoiced hadn't even been sent requesting payment. It eventually turned out the money bring asked for wasn't even owed. The account was in a complete mess with misentries by Howdens. There were also lots of multiple credits & debits confusing the situation further.
Deliveries kept being changed multiple times for additional items & ordering of some parts overlooked.

The Kitchen Designer Felicity(Flick) at Chichester Howdens made the new kitchen purchase experience very easy for me with great service, very friendly and helpful, deep product knowledge, great advice given and taken, very professional and excellent and prompt meetings being on time and not rushed. I feel I had the best service you can get. Much better than other kitchen purchases elsewhere.
In addition the delivery driver Michael was again very friendly, helpful and professional.
When registering my trade account i had to ring Howdens support team and Lucas identified the issue I had in seconds and got me on my way to register.
To cap it all off all the team members I had contact with at Chichester Howdens including the Manager Andy Wright I have had really good service and help.
One other thing I think was really good was the kitchen installation pack which is very detailed.
From this experience I will definately use Howdens on my next project

We had to have a completely new kitchen, having met with Flick, who, made our choosing and designs really good, she has been very accommodating and may I say, many occasions where choices with us changed , she has helped in every way and taken all in her stride, which has made it a pleasure , delivery on time and planned, even after delivery we changed course on a couple of bits, but no problem , infact Howdens in general have been brill and the product is superb.
Howdens are very lucky to have Flick, she does them proud and also enjoys her work, she makes it all pleasurable.
