Ghost Customer Service
This is by far the worst experience I’ve had with a bank. Non existent customer support, so good luck to you if you need urgent help with your credit card. HSBC will let you down flat.

Called them few times ( morning, afternoon and evening ) with an average of 30 mins for each call and no surprise, no one picked up. I am shocked because even other local banks customer service picks up the call. I tried chatting with them on mobile app and website but both are virtual bots not directing me to an answer. Please buck up your service.
HSBC CREDIT CARDS - AVOID AT ALL COST!
I am suprised with the sluggishness in terms of HSBC's customer service. Discovered an unauthorised transaction around mid-August. Called for one whole week and nobody answered. Sent email but to no avail as well. Finally I managed to reach a customer service representative from the bank through my mobile app but was informed that I would have to clear my balance before a new credit card was sent to me WITH CHARGES. Upon hearing this, I opted to terminate my business relationship with the bank.
Truly the worst ever bank in Malaysia if you are looking to apply for a credit card. Beware and apply at your own risk and detriment!!

HSBC otp never appear on my phone. And they freeze my debit card. After that I went to their branch to activate it, the customer service told me I can only use it after 24 hours. Unlike other bank we can ensure our card is working before we walk out from the bank, in HSBC they don't ensure your card is working. Guess what? It never works. I still can't use my debit card online.

HSBC Malaysia - unsafe and bad customer service
HSBC Malaysia has become both unsafe and not secure. I've had unauthorised transaction on both my debit and credit card. The bank asks you to report suspicious activity when it occurs, yet it impossible to even reach the customer service lines; both the chat function and the call centre. I've had to be on hold for more than an hour and then just to be cut off after holding that long. This is very disappointing as HSBC used to be good, especially the ease of which to deal with customer service. There was also no question on the security of the bank. However, over the past 2 years its been awful and now with the security issues as well - this is not a bank I feel safe with any longer.
Poor quality of fraud team and customer service
Noticed fraud transactions on 15th Aug, continuous calling customer service all day long - no one answered. Submitted fraud form myself received confirmation email from HSBC on same day.
Called customer service again on 16th Aug, from morning and finally agent picked up at evening. Informed investigations will be processed, fraud team will contact me on 17th Aug. But no one called.
Contacted HSBC mobile app on 22nd Aug, told me no records of my submission for fraud investigations. Said will reply me in another 3 days.

The worst bank I had to deal with. Aside from terrible and outdated service policies, They can terminate your account anytime without revealing the reason. They just terminated the account Risky!!..awful services,nor safe not secure!!!. I know most banks have a reputation for fraud but I can affirm this one is the best one of a kind.
HSBC has a global network;If they terminate the customer s account in one country then another Hsbc country can also terminate the account without any reason suddenly..Hsbc MALAYSIA doesnt serve well.Their services are really bad..In MALAYSIA, there are so many better banks that Malaysian fellows and others can opt to use..Stay away from this bank!!..Risky services and awful customer polices!!!!

I have opened an account in Malaysia HSBC on the January 2021.Then I started to use their services;But I found that their services were not customer friendly nor efficient at all..Then all of a sudden I got a letter on the 06th May 2022 from them as follows:

As you can see above the customers will always of risks not being able to meet their strategic criteria;therefore the bank can be sorry anytime to close your account!! Please consider this carefully; you might meet the same fate just like me if you co-operate with this bank;If you still co-operate with this bank’ better to stop it and not to use this bank..Lets stop co-operting with this bank;especially our Malaysian Fellows and others at any other parts of the world;Please re-consider your situation if you still hold account in this bank, you might encounter the same situation anytime..lets act together and choose other banksto co-operate;lets stop together using HSBC Malaysia…I am so sure there are many other better banks in Malaysia;please go for them…Don’t risk yourself with HSBC Malaysia
