This is the only company I have ever had difficulty with for an auto loan. It seems all of my payment dates are falling on holidays or weekends. I generally pay my payments 6 days or more in advance of the due date. Sometimes life is busy and my calendar alerts me two days before it’s due. I do not keep up with the many government holidays I do not have a bankers hours job. My payment is then late because they don’t accept payments on weekends or holidays. If that’s the case, they need to adjust your payment date each month. I am so thankful I got pre approved through another company to get rid of this awful loan!

This institution is frankly ridiculous, thats the only word that accurately describes my experience with them. I've had the misfortune to get a car loan account from them and it has been a circus since day one. They will mess everything up in ways you didnt think possible. With such terrible support my thoughts are they do this on purpose to make you incrue late payment fees. And they WILL NOT budge on you paying those fees even when it is their fault you were late paying due to their incompetence or laziness.

They locked me out of my own account for months multiple times when I moved out of the Midwest. Yet they never stop harassing for a $5 bill. They have very suspicious account verification practices over the phone as well that are not very trustworthy.

I cant rate them low enough! They bought my bank out. While I switched all my accounts, which was not easy I still have a home improvement loan there. And now I cant get anyone on the phone, only foreigners who dont speak English. I tried to email, get a canned response with a phone number that is automated nightmare and link to website that doesn't work. No one will actually talk to you! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I've even tried to go back to the local banking location and the "old" bank employees have no idea and essentially cant help me.

Avoid at all costs, customer service talks in circles instead of actually researching and doing their job of finding a resolution. I paid off a boat loan and it took almost 30 days to get a title because Huntington kept trying to release a lien in a different state in which it wasn’t registered in. Even after multiple calls (6 total hours on the phone with them) informing them of their error.

My wife and I are extremely unhappy with this bank.We’ve had a loan with them now for over four months.We’ve changed the due date to the fifth and for some reason the representative put the second and now they refuse to change it to the fifth.Im a disabled army veteran and receive my check on the fifth of every month. Why Ty hey say they record the conversation and I clearly said the fifth.With all that being said I definitely don’t recommend this bank to anyone. I wish I knew this bank was very unprofessional before we accepted a loan from this bank. This bank is very unprofessional customer service.Im gonna get rid of this bank as soon as we can.Again if you want a very unprofessional and incompetent customer service this bank is for you

2 financing transactions, 2 awful experiences. They are the absolute worst company and will never work with them again.

I put a hold on a large check that had not been delivered.
After confirming the check had in fact been received I attempted to remove the hold. Instead Huntington froze my account and told me I would have to open a new account because my account could have been compromised.
It's been almost a week of arguing with them. If the account is not released today I'm changing banks.
The local branch has tried to help but the main office appears to be full of idiots enforcing rules that in no way enhance customer account safety.
I would recommend not considering opening an account at Huntington.

I opened an account with Veritex Bank in November 2025. I was extremely impressed with excellent customer service that I received. I was thrilled that I had found Veritex. I arranged for my SSA direct deposit to be transferred to the new account but was told by SSA that it could not begin until January.
On January 19 Huntington Bank took over Veritex and customers got all new account numbers. We were told to make sure that we changed our direct transactions to the new account numbers. The bank would not automatically transfer these from Veritex to Huntington bank. Since SSE takes three months to process such a change I was hoping that at least that deposit would automatically transfer. But my January 28th SSA deposit did not appear in the new account. I had to go to the SSA office to straighten the account out. Meanwhile I had to pay my bills and obtain cash on my Credit Card.
Today I went to the Hulen branch of Huntington bank to deposit cash since my account was overdrawn. Laura who was my Veritex banker was most apologetic and was looking into it for me. While she was helping me we were interrupted by another employee who was adamant that it if I had direct deposit with Veritex it would have gone to my new account. She was offensive and argumentative. FINALLY she said that the reason it had not gone to the new account was because it was new and the direct deposit had not yet been made to the Veritex account. I explained I didn’t come to argue I just wanted to make sure the account wasn’t overdrawn. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. I will be looking for another bank now.

I used to love Huntington Bank my most recent and current experience I would not recommend. I mobile deposited a pay check on Sunday it's now Friday and they are still holding my funds and won't release Any of it till Tuesday so that's over a week for a pay check . Called local branch and they were to call back never did and the attitude was basically not their probably. The check was only 1500 not like it was a million ! So disappointed.

Horrible customer service. Their customer service team speaks poor English. They provide incorrect information, then pass you to another person, so that person provides different incorrect information. When you call them out about the incorrect information, they hang up the phone.

This is honestly the worst bank I have ever been apart or I changed my phone number and now I can no longer access my online bank using any other sort of verification I have to drive 6 hours to a branch to update my phone number that's what I have been told my advice dont bank with them

In July of 2025, I opened a New Checking Account with Huntington Bank with promo code for the $400 Cash Bonus Offer, Total of $500 in Direct Deposits in 90 days. I deposited $550 in 90 days (much more since the 90 days), so when I did not receive my bonus offer, I called Customer Service. They transferred me through 2 differents reps and after they addied and readded, they changed my open date to July 14, then again to July 13, just so they could say that my last payroll deposit on 10/16 missed the cut off by 2 days, that way they could justify not paying me, that is incredibly shady. This was a test for me because I had another bank do the same thing, if Huntington Bank had done right by me I was going to move the majority of my money from my other 8 bank accounts, now I am withdrawing all of my money from Huntington and closing my account. Oh but they did offer me another promo offer...approximately 3.75% APR on a Money Market..that's nothing like paying $400 for a New Checking account. Not an honest move Huntington Bank.

I have been trying to find a way to access my credit card account online -- 3 times called and got in the cue for a call back nobody ever called.

I've called in to Huntington more than 10 times and went into the branch more than 5 times about the monthly service fees and moving my account to something that wouldn't charge service fees.

I'm appalled and amazed that after 3 years and depositing $50,000, I still get monthly service fees on both checking accounts.

Worst experience ever. They charge you fees and when you pay them they charge you again. I'm so done with this bank and when you call they tell you to hold on and hang up on you. I spoke to 3 foreign reps today. I'm livid.

They held a paper payroll check for a week and mailed me a letter stating this after the hold was up, I can't make external transfers and the customer service has been horrible. No one speaks english.Wish I never opened the account here. I'll stick with my slow credit union.

I had to give one star to leave a review and they don't even deserve that. Yesterday I was scheduling bills to be paid for in February, all the bills went through but then I got a message that my account was overdrawn and couldn't pay all my bills so I went back to the homepage to see what was going on. The site set the bills to be paid properly in my scheduled bill pay for February and also paid the bills yesterday. I called and I was told I had to 7 to 10 minute wait and I was on the phone for over 3 hours until the billing center closed at 8:00 p.m.. I got on chat with three different agents and each one would just leave me hanging for 20 minutes or more and then the website would close down and I'd have to re log in and start again. This morning my account is drained and I can't get any help. I have worked at Banks and I have never seen anything as horrible as huntington. It was my husband's choice to bank there and we won't be staying.

Huntington is by far the WORST bank I have used. To put that in context, I have lived in multiple states and multiple countries and have used dozens on banks. I can't think of a bank that comes close to being as bad as Huntington is. Their online banking is a complete farce. Count yourself lucky if their help desk calls you back within 5 hours. It usually takes days, if they even call you back. I guess it really doesn't matter though if they call you back because all the agent will say is, "You need to go visit your local branch for help." That's not helpful, especially when there isn't a local branch within 2,000 miles! Customer service has never been able to help with anything and that includes closing the account. Yep, I had to fly from New Zealand to Michigan to close the stupid account! A completely worthless bank. Bank with anyone else but Huntington.

Worst customer service making my life the worst. I will be sure to report them and change my credit card with another company. ordered a replacement credit card and they told me it will be delivered the did so many mistakes never resolved the issue.
