Hushmail is definitely worth the peace of mind!

I have had wonderful experiences with Hushmail so far. I have been impressed with their extensive knowledge and in depth, easy to use, step by step guides. I was provided an article with step by step instructions on how to make a competitor's email HIPAA compliant. The article was easy to follow and provided so much information on how to not use Hushmail's services, but also clearly showed how their services are more affordable and safer, which ultimately led to me choosing them. When deciding on a plan to purchase, I was able to ask questions through chat. This chat started with AI, but then was quickly transferred to a helpful human, which I was very grateful for. When I did purchase my plan, I used a step by step guide to add the email to my existing domain. Not being very technical, but able to follow instructions, I thought I'd give it a try myself. I found I'd done something incorrectly, so I scheduled a customer care call that happened at the agreed upon time and the issue was resolved quickly and professionally with a friendly associate. I accidentally upgraded my plan (twice), and was very quickly and efficiently helped out both times without any incident. I'm so impressed with Hushmail and I've just started using it. I'm so grateful I've found an organization that cares about it's clients, acts with integrity, is transparent and honest, and does what it says it will do! 5 stars!

I have found my experience with…

I have found my experience with Hushmail to be excellent, starting with my initial 'Chat' and inquiries since then. Hushmail staff have been very responsive, and very helpful in arranging a time to finalize my ability to effectively use their site.

Thanks for your review! Hushmail doesn't have its built-in spell checker, but if you're using our webmail in your browser, most browsers will automatically check your spelling as you type. You can also use Hushmail with email apps that have spell check built in. We hope this helps.

I like the options

I like the options, ease of use, and notifications!

I enjoy that I can encrypt or not, depending on the needs for a specific message. I also like that I get an email to my personal email address when I have messages in Hushmail.

I didn't get my call this morning at 10…

I didn't get my call this morning at 10 am, and no number to contact the person who was supposed to call me. I had questions about how to work hushmail with and without using my current website, since the hushmail does not match my domain name for my current website.

Overall Great

Overall, great & sufficient. The functionality is still growing but the core vision and goal is present. I appreciate the customer support (10 out of 10). I also appreciate the HIPAA compliance and encryption of emails.

Things I'd love to see changed/that are frustrating:
- Threads. This is the biggest one. The threads aren't consistent. If I reply to an email, and go back to the inbox, my response isn't connected to the overall email thread. It's instead in the sent folder. This also makes it a little more difficult to search for emails.
- Encryption. I love and need this function, but I commonly get respondents tell me they can't open the email. It'd be great if they could open the email more smoothly without creating a Hushmail account; not sure how that all works with encryption.
- Ability to have multiple accounts open. I'm managing two Hushmail emails, personal & business. I need to be able to bounce back and forth between the emails smoothly but find that every time I do I need to sign out of one and sign into the other.
- Automatic opening of the next email. When finished with an email, after I file it, send a response, or what have you, the next email automatically opens. Is there a way to make the automatic step take me back to the main inbox instead?
- Archive button. This is a small one, but is there a way to incorporate a direct "Archive" button? It'd be even better if there was a "send & archive" button. I can use the "Move" button, but it'd be useful to have a simple archive button or command keyboard shortcut to archive emails.
- Undo. An undo button would be very helpful for when I send an email too early, archive a thread, etc. If it could pop up for 5-10 seconds that'd be useful.

Overall, I'm happy with Hushmail. I look forward to seeing improvements as things grow.

• Threads and archive: We do currently offer an archive feature, but we recognize that it could be more intuitive and aligned with the experience you're describing. We’re actively exploring improvements in this area, and threaded conversations are also on our longer-term roadmap.

• Email behavior: In our webmail, replying to a message returns you to the inbox — just as you’d expect. If you're seeing different behavior, it's likely due to a third-party email app. Feel free to check in with us if you'd like help reviewing your setup.

• Undo: At this time, we don’t have plans to introduce an undo button, but we’ll continue to monitor feedback like yours as we prioritize future updates.

Lack of customer service

The automatic reply function isn’t working on my account. The thing I’m most disappointed about is the lack of customer service support for existing users. You can call a number and talk to a sales rep about signing up for an account but there’s no number to call for help if you are an account holder. And currently the live chat isn’t operating.
