I stayed at the Scottsdale AZ location for a conference. It started out bad--room wasn't ready, and they seemed not to have the preferences I had made. I was essentially blackmailed into upgradi... See more

Poor Business Management
I stayed at the Hyatt Residence Club San Antonio, Wild Oak Ranch in May of 2022. During the stay, I sat through the timeshare presentation and even purchased one of the packages. I also gave them $100.00 deposit and monthly payments were to come out of my account for the remaining 9 payments. They never set up my account, I called several times to get a status update and they never could give me an update. Needless to say, after 5 months, I was able to get some assistance, but then they wanted me to pay 5 payments at one time ($500.00) to get my account caught up. But they would not extend my time saying I needed to have made the payments, I can't make payments on something not set up and what happened to the agent supposedly setting up my account for automatic payments. I even tried to get my initial deposit of the $100.00 back and then they tell me they can't cancel the contract because it is past the cancellation date (I wonder why). So at any rate, I lost all around, I can't get my money back and I have no vacation, so what do I do? I will never do business with Hyatt again (not that it matters to them), due to their poor business practices.
Addis Ababa Ethiopia Hyatt Regency…
Addis Ababa Ethiopia Hyatt Regency Hotel was the worst experience I have ever seen in my life. As usual, we went to Hyatt Regency Hotel to have tea and coffee with my friends and we had a dinner program ፎልሎው። After a little time spent on the terrace we paid the bill and left. However, the time it took the waiter to bring us what we ordered was amazing very very long time. Another request to pay the bill, it was not an unusual busy day, it is still a mystery why it is happened that. Finally, I paid the bill and left my wallet there. Inside was $600, various credit and debit cards, and other things like identification and work permits. My guess is that even if they take the dollar, they will return my wallet along with their other information. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Instead, all night long, when they tried to do business with my debit and credit card online and withdraw money in different ways, they were only successful in $1, and their attempts to withdraw thousands of dollars were unsuccessful.
The most annoying thing is what makes me think that it is the work of the security guards in the hotel. I found out that my wallet was missing in the morning. When I went to the hotel and tried to explain the situation to the management, they repeatedly told me that if I don't have an appointment, I can't talk to the manager. I couldn't find someone who could help me and explain the situation, because everyone directed me to someone else. Finally, when I spoke to a woman whose name I don't remember now, she claimed to be in charge of coordinating the outdoor cafe, when I spoke to her she called security officer on the phone, he was unwilling to give much information. She forced him to come and talk to me about the situation. Surprisingly, when came he told me that he didn't even have time to help me and that all happened to me is all my fault. He embarrassed me, and I said to myself before he beat me, I have to leave this place and thanked those who had come to surround me and left the hotel.
Hyatt Regency is a hotel that I don't intend to enter again. I advise people not to go there at every opportunity. I found it to be a hotel where very bad and worst management, which is have a room for a little respect for the customer, does not have any sympathy for the person passing through challenging time.
Warning to all
Warning to all, today was a stressful day due to incompetence of reservations specially with Hyatt of Tampa. These were made same day for 3 days. So here it is sitting in room happy ready for a vacation day in a great city. So myself and two guess just awoken after a fun night, talking having a wonderful intimate afternoon, and a man walks through the door unannounced no knock and asked when we were checking out. Are you serious!!!!! Yes it happened and I’m still in utter shock! Then a very nice lady knocks moments later and states you are due to check out. So as you can realize my emotion are already higher after the man walked in when I’m half naked. Then a phone call. Are you really serious Hyatt! When are you checking out. 3 rd time…. I get it, I work in hotels and I understand people can be very shady and I don’t do shady. So I go to the desk check out and check back in! No apologies nothing. I come back up to my afternoon routine and walk back downstairs to get a print out of my receipt and to speak to a gentleman who is extremely professional and understanding and finally an apology. I will tell you this. This is not my first issue with a Hyatt, it will be my last! So unacceptable to have anyone walk in on anyone and screw up the reservation to add to the escalation, doesn’t help! This is very terrifying to know anyone can enter your room unannounced and with no repercussions. This was sad for sure. Hyatt YOU CAN DO WAY BETTER!!
They overbook and will not help
Hyatt Place Hotel Bakersfield was overbooked and they would not help us since booking was through Hotels.com.
We was noticed two hours before in an e-mail while on the High Way.
NOTICE: We were not the only family.
Will never book there again.

Fraudulent Charge!
We have always stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, because our kids live nearby. Until now, we have had no real complaints. But...on our last visit we were charged $350 because their new type of smoke detector indicated that – we were 'smoking' in our hotel room -- not once -- but twice! This charge was not attached to the hotel bill when I checked out at the front desk, but was a separate charge on our VISA card, which we did not know about until later, when the monthly statement arrived.
I received absolutely no help from the Hyatt Loyalty Program Customer Service, as all they did was to contact the hotel, then repeated to me what the manager (or someone else) at the hotel spit-out!
Neither myself, nor my wife, have ever smoked cigarettes, or anything else for that matter – Never -- Ever! My documented medical records, and my 30-year military records, have me listed as a: Non-Smoker! Hyatt refuses to remove the $350 smoking-in-room charge! Wouldn’t one think that we would have been notified of this infraction upon check-out? Nope!
Oh, I forgot to add that – I have competed in 4-Ironman Triathlons, about 20-Marathons, and was the United States Age Group Stair Racing Champion, not too many years ago. Currently I am a Gravel Bike racer (age-group) and I am scheduled to compete in Gravel Worlds Bike Race in 7-weeks … so, it is extremely unlikely that I (nor my lovely wife) would be ‘lighting-up’ in a Bethesda hotel room…

SHADY! Shady! SHADY! Shady!
Don't book this hotel. It's terrible, awful and disgusting!
Thank God. Just to make sure I am still alive and back to my country before I am writing this review.
On the first day, our family was requested to pay EUR 3,981.60 as deposit for 2 rooms but we had already PAID the hotel accomodation fee in FULL. Besides, we found there was a hole on the electric curtain.
On the second day, there were 2 strangers trying to use the hotel card key to break into our rooms many times. When I called and reported this incident to the reception, I did request the reception to help me to call the police at around 21:45pm but the hotel reception leader refused to do so and I should call by myself. The hotel told me that they could not review the CCTV due to the hotel policy & Italian law.
The night before check-out, I called the housekeeper & the reception many times, the phone just kept ringing and no one answered my call. The reason I called because we went out all day but the hotel did not make up my room at all: 1) the rubbish bins were still full, 2) bath towels not yet changed, 3) no facial box tissue 4) beds not tidy up. So I went down to the reception and asked the reception to send someone to fulfill 1)+2)+3) for us although we would check-out in the next day. Things left shady like the telephone system not functioning properly in my room after I had reported the strangers trying to break into our rooms. Another shady thing was WITHOUT REVIEWING HOTEL CCTV, the hotel staff replied us that the strangers were the hotel room guests. HOW COULD WE TRUST THIS HOTEL???When things sound so controversial!
For tourists/frequent travellers, when there were so many shady things happened during the stay at this hotel. It was absolutely terrible, awful and disgusting.
When Everyone could access the hotel elevator and went to any floor without using the hotel card key, plus shady things happened during our stay, this's called 4-star hotel I didn't really think so. It's just like a supermarket level or might be supermarket was even better because there was a security guard standing in front of the supermarket's door & also the supermarket staff was watching the CCTV meticulously.
In fact, there was no kind of security at all in this hotel during our stay. Obviously, this was breach of contract as we had fully paid the hotel accomodation fee and that contract was effective during our stay. The hotel did not try the best to protect the hotel room guests from this shady and dangerous situation but put the hotel room guests at risk.
Our family trip was extremely disappointed because of the stay in this hotel. This was our first time and also the last time to Milano. GRAZIE!!!!

Hello Actuary/Travellers/Hotel Management Team,
1)what is the probability that two strangers were trying to break into OUR ROOMS (talking about TWO seperate rooms)?
2)what is the probability that the hotel room guest does not know the room number?
3) In 21st century, what is the probability that someone or hacker holds a hotel card key?
"What is the probability that anyone can go to any floor at this hotel? 100% during my stay"
Another hotel guest has complained this hotel recently, YOU as Hyatt Group YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE THESE CASES and TRAIN YOUR STAFF WITH COMMON SENSE. INSTEAD OF THE CRAP REPLY FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER AND FULL OF COMPLACEMENT FOR WHAT THEY DID ~TOTAL SHAMEFUL & DISGRACEFUL!!!
No need to be a Globalist - it's a scam
I am a Globalist with Hyatt. I booked a hotel through their website. When I get to the hotel, they tell me that actually they are not participating in the program! I get in touch with the customer service, the rudest I've ever seen. I spent thousands of dollars with these people and they treat you like you are bothering them. I end up even calling to get some human on the line, I end up having someone that transferred me to a manager, but I never managed to get him/her because no one picked up the line. In one word: Scam. Avoid waisting your money with these ppl.
Horrible
Absolutely disgusting. From the moment we arrived the checking in staff was trying to con us with up grades and promises. Admittedly they was a mix up on my end due to booking in. When this was sorted we was told to upgrade to a corner suite as it was bigger. Yes it was bigger but had 1 bed. We booked rooms with 2 beds. When I asked for a bed after sleeping on the floor for a night they tried to charge 75 dollars a night. Manager was good as he sorted it straight away. Checking in staff let’s this hotel down massive. Completely ruined our 4 day stag do. Bearing in mind where was a total of 11 of us in this party do not cheap.
Simply Rubbish
Rubbish. No coffee, tea, orange juice at the Hyatt Chelsea, NY. Had to wait 20 mins for a lift at peak times. They then charged me again some days after I had left and paid. Trying desperately to sort the matter out from 1,000’s of miles away. Phone is engaged and customer services don’t respond. Please don’t use this chain they don’t deserve you business

Family vacation
My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and loved every second of it. Grace Kuhau assisted us with the check-in process as well as other requests and was amazing, our room was clean, our view was beautiful and the service we received as a whole made our time there very memorable. I mentioned that it was my sons birthday and Grace had a box of chocolates sent to our room.We are already planning on our next trip to Hawaii and to Hyatt.

No bottled water paying list rate. Arrived late, nothing open.
Late flight for last minute meeting arriving 8:30pm. All local restaurants and other closed. I asked for bottled water to tide me over, but desk suggested only for premier members. I am 58 yrs old with mounds of business travel and never experienced this especially paying full rate tonight in a suite. I was trying Hyatt as a new points investment outside Holiday Inn my whole life as I figured it was time to step up, but soon learned Hyatt chain not a smart to investment with policies like this. Good luck.
Tommi Hyatt in Austin
I stayed in the Tommi Hyatt in Austin, such a lovely experience, great customer service from the front desk team to the 4th floor restaurant. The room was perfect, i ordered some robes they came up cute and in keeping. Loved my stay made better by the team on site.
Violent staff at the hotel
Went to Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port of Spain for a drink, and taking some pictures of the nice hotel. One security guy, named Christopher, accused me for taking pictures of the staff. It was not pictures of the staff but he did not believe me, and wanted my camera, which I refused and he pushed me into the fountain, resulting in a broken camera (full of water).
stolen case in hyatt hotel
I recently had a disappointing experience at Hyatt Regency Perth that I wanted to share with you all. During my stay, I lost some of my belongings in the room after the housekeeping service. To make things worse, I discovered that the cleaner had opened my shopping bag and box without my permission and threw them away after finding them empty. This was a clear violation of my privacy, and I was extremely upset by it.
To add to my disappointment, the hotel management and staff did not provide any initiative solutions to rectify the situation. Furthermore, I did not receive any apology from the beginning of the incident until I left, and it was clear that the hotel management did not show any responsibility or care towards me as a customer. They kept dragging their feet and did not provide an official investigation into the matter.
As travelers, we rely on hotels to provide a safe and secure environment for us, but this experience made me feel like my belongings and privacy were not respected. I hope that the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements to ensure that situations like this do not happen again in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
I would not recommend we have been…
I would not recommend we have been charged again to our card and not authorised to do this . I searched the web and lots of fraud involving the Hyatt hotel company’s going back a long way , think fraud and keep your money 🙏
Hyatt Jackson MS
Hyatt Jackson MS. Booked the room, then two days later, once it was too late to cancel, get an email "reminder" with a note all the way at the bottom (after ads, free breakfast, things to do, etc.), that says all breakfast, food service, and beverage services are cancelled DUE TO COVID. And housekeeping is only available every four days. Tried to cancel as I paid more specifically for the savings from not having to take the family out to eat. Called the hotel. On hold with static and squawking for 12 minutes before I gave up. Same with chat (minus squawking noise but add in "updates" every 30 seconds saying there were a bunch of folks ahead of me and it's going to be a while). Can't cancel online because I would have to pay. I am at work and cannot spend hours on end on hold. I expected better of a Hyatt. Stuck with it now but will NEVER book with them again.
This complaint is for Hyatt customer…
This complaint is for Hyatt customer advocacy service. On 2/14 14:12pm PST, I called in to get an update on a false advertisement and price gauging complaint for my family stay at NorthStar lodge in Lake Tahoe on 12/31/2022. They price gauged during a California declared snow emergency. They increased their hotel price 20X more. During the conversation, the director lied, accused, screamed, threatened, yelled and interrupted at me over the phone from the very beginning. He didn’t even ask for my phone call reason. Therefore, I asked his permission to record the conversation, he abruptly hung up on me and blocked my phone number. I have all the email and phone log proof.
I am traumatized from his horrible behavior and having a mental health breakdown from his screaming and seek for doctor help.
This is extremely rude and unprofessional customer service. Never ever I will stay at Hyatt again.
I tried to resolve the problem with Hyatt, but instead they screamed at me.
