GRIMSBY HYUNDAI

GRIMSBY READ HYUNDAI

1 star for this company is 1 too many!

They are useless and have consistently lied to us over our car! We are motability customers and have been treated shockingly.

Lie 1 Nick - you get the power boot
Lie 2 Matt - we’ve installed £600 cameras but only charged you £450 as agreed (just to get good feedback) however the cameras were only £300
Lie 3 - we’ve got someone who works here who can sort the cameras out (as they don’t work properly) only to travel over there to be told nobody has them, yet when we rang he was going to be in!

So having been over 3 times now for it to be fixed they still don’t work, and was told DESPITE being motability customer and it’s upto them to sort it out WE have to do it ourselves which we cannot do!

GO ELSEWHERE, we are going to another dealership. I will never go back to these people as long as I live

Don't Buy a Hyundai Car from Reed Hyundai…

Buying Hyundai Cars from Reed Hyundai in Derby

1. I purchased two new cars. - Both had delivery issues - both had recalls - the Inoiq6 would not charge from my wall charger.
2. Quoted range on Ioniq6 of well over 300 miles on a single charge - lucky if I got over 200 even in summer driving in Eco Mode.
3. Dealer not interested. - their service very poor. One of the managers (works in Alfa /Jeep) very abusive and unhelpful.
4. Ended up getting rid of both vehicles and going back to BMW due to their lack of help.

I will not go to Reed again nor will I every buy a Hyundai again.

If you want a car that is fit for purpose and does suffer multiple recalls and arrive with issues then steer clear.

Shocking service

Shocking service. Even though all services have been done in time and still have a warranty on the car, the work has been denied under warranty. They said if I wanted to overturn the decision I needed to get a second opinion from a different retailer. What service is that? I would not recommend anybody to get cars from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hyundai Tucson PHEV…con.

I have had a new Hyundai Tucson PHEV for a week. These cars when charged should run on electricity only and yet mine is still using fuel. Today I did 2 trips of approximately 6 miles, in doing so I used up 10 miles of electric charge and also 8 miles of fuel, when it should have been running on total electricity. I get the feeling that this whole concept of being able to drive on clean energy is a complete and utter CON by Hyundai. I honestly could not recommend this car or company to anyone. I feel really let down by this company. My advice is to stay away from being duped into paying for something that I am not getting.

Tunbridge Wells Branch

Tunbridge Wells Branch. Bought son a 62 reg i10 last April. Supplied new from this dealer, one owner, serviced there since new. Paid for it and it took about a month to get ready. Kept chasing up, told it was having new clutch fitted. although clutch OK when we test drove it?
Clutch judders at low speeds uphill and in traffic. Took it back for a check and AC regas. Said they'd adjusted clutch, still just as bad. Regas of AC not solved the warm air coming out.
Son drives it not us but we are fed up with him putting up with the terrible clutch problem. told by them it's how these cars are? Never had this problem before in any car.
We had a thermostat pipe fitted and service £548 for those two things! Charged extra £100 for an hour to undo seized bolts on it as well. Then said washer jets inoperable due to no screen wash. Worked before and after OK.
When we went in to pay wife sat on chair and it shot out from under her and she landed on floor. Now has a back problem. having physio Friday. No accident report filled in.
Absolute con merchants, Will never ever buy a Hyundai again. Best sticking to VW.

Hyundai assist, warranty, courtesy car, service, terrible

car was fine but when you try and get it repaired under warranty and get a courtesy car, then the problems starts. They seem to have processes in place to frustrate, delay and stop you getting a courtesy car or repair done under warranty. Its a new car 18 months old, only 4000 miles, had one service, now a major timing belt fault, and after 2 weeks i still have no courtesy car or a repair authorised. Will never use Hyundai again.

Hyundai Turn Diesel into Water

The short version:
I bought a brand-new Bayon
I filled it with petrol once
It broke down after 6 days and 250 miles
It was returned to Sturgess Anstey for diagnosis and repair
I was expecting it to be a warranty repair
I was told the vehicle had been miss-fuelled with diesel and that wasn't covered under warranty
I was charged £983.70 to have the fuel system flushed and cleaned and a blow fuel injector replaced and was told that the 5 year warranty on my 6 day old engine was now invalidated.
I disputed that I had put any diesel in at all
I had to get the fuel analysed at a lab
This showed no diesel present in the fuel
It did show a 0.29% trace of water
Sturgess never mentioned the word diesel again and pointed to the water being the cause of the failure
I again disputed this and stopped just short of taking Sturgess to the small claims court only because the Daily Telegraph got involved investigating my case.
At this point everybody at Hyundai caved in, Sturgess apologised and refunded me my £983.70 & £250

The medium version can be read on the Daily Telegraph website by searching for "My £22k car broke down after just 250 miles – but Hyundai is accusing me of filling it with diesel" on Google

The long version can be read on the Money Saving Experts forum by searching for "Rejecting new car due to dealer misfuel" on Google

Customer Services Appalling

I have now sent three emails to Hyundai Customer Services at their main Head Office. No reply so phoned them and they could not answer two very simple questions about tyres and Hyandai Used Car Promise. They then just put my call on hold and still after 10 minutes nobody got back. Appalling service.

Hyundai Colne terrible after sale service

I bought a 3 year old kona from my local hyundai dealership. The day I was picking it up I received a phone call asking how I was going to pay for gap insurance. I didn't understand what they was going on about as when I originally sat down with the salesman I actually asked for gap insurance so the package we discussed included gap insurance. But the manager was to arrogant to accept this and said I would need to pay separately if I want gap insurance. Then when I drove the car away I realised the wheel alignment was out so I had to get that sorted out. The brakes were making a noise so they had to be stripped down as the brake pads were all sized in to the carrier. This is a massive safety issue. So the car clearly has never had a proper service. Or safty check before collection. The air conditioning wasn't working so I taken it back to the dealership and they told me I had to pay £150 diagnostic fee even though the car still has the manufacturer warranty as well as I only bought it from them 3 months ago at this point. I'll be contacting trading standards as they state all second hand cars legally come with a minimum 6 months warranty. But hyundai uk state their cars have a 5 year warranty so hyundai are blatantly ripping people off .

Panoramic front panel faulty

Well I would always give read Hyundai derby a 5 star rating but not now I bought a brand new Tucson 73 plate loved it at first but then just over 2months later I get a stress fracture on the panoramic front panel to which now Hyundai derby are saying it was hit by a stone funny there's no stone impact, which is rubbish an they know it I've even taken it to an independent glass specialist to inspect an he's confirmed it's not been hit by a stone but caused by a flaw in the cars design but knowing all this I'll probably have to pay for it but I'll never buy a Hyundai again an thanks to Ian tattersall whom I got it off has started ghosting my emails thanks Ian that's really professional an childish of you so do yourselves a favour the people the loyal customers who keep these dealerships in a job, do not buy a car with a panoramic roof as it's not covered under the warranty an you'll never get Hyundai to fix it or replace it unless there's been a recall for them, next time I'll go to lexus at least you get treated better an looked after as a customer an not a looked at as a bank I got proper sucked in an left out to dry by Hyundai read derby an for that I'm now having to go to the motor ombudsman but I don't expect anything to come of that either I've now lost all confidence an trust in Hyundai i,ll never buy another one of their cars again an for that I give this look of disgust an angry an also aaron the manager of read Hyundai derby man to man the review will stay here till such time i get this situation resolved thanks for the phone call an hyundai uk wont fix it or take responsibility for a fault in the glass which is apart of the structure of the car👎😡 plus today 29/4/24 I called to get a price on the panoramic front panel how much to fit aswell an to no joy I've still had no response to a price a total joke so I've gone to another dealership to get this done sooner the better an I can sell this car save your money everyone go elsewhere do not buy these cars. 🤬😡👎

Jonathan arrived right on time to pick up (and return) my Hyundai Ioniq for its service. As usual everything went like clockwork, he was professional, pleasant and all went well. The car was returned, clean and with the mirrors returned to their settings - it's the little things that matter too. 😊

I had the displeasure of being given…

I had the displeasure of being given this as a courtesy car whilst mine is in for repairs. I was given a 23 plate Tuscon - easily the worst car ive ever had to drive. My 03 plate focus was far smoother! It revs and scream and sounds like its struggling when pulling off - I have tried applying minimal pressure but unless you go under 5 miles an hour for the first half a mile it sounds awful. Petrol consumption is beyond ridiculous! Bumpy ride. I couldnt believe the cost when I googled it. Truly horrific car. Whoever test drove that and thought yeah lets sell it is nuts!
