Bought a 2020 Tucson in 2021 it was 1…
Bought a 2020 Tucson in 2021 it was 1 year old less than 8 months later the car wouldn’t start advised by AA it was the starter motor. Hyundai Portsmouth had the car for 5 Months apparently waiting for the part. Returned in the May and advised a recall for something was needed so another 6 weeks with them then Jan 2024 it suddenly wouldn’t start again. Apparently the whole engine has seized and Hyundai won’t touch it because we didn’t have a service done last year when it was with them for 7 Months of the year so basically we have a 2020 Tucson which is absolutely knackered. I can’t tell you how rude and obnoxious the after sales team and customer service at Hyundai are. Please don’t buy Hyundai save yourself the stress, money and heartache
What after-care?
I am extremely disappointed with Hyundai and after sales Care. I bought the ioniq 6 just two months ago brand-new from Sutton Coldfield. A few weeks later after charging the battery to 100% a few times I noticed that the 336 miles never showed up as advertised. I called them about the show with the mileage. The car is electric advertised as showing 336 miles to 100% full battery it shows no more than 245, the speed limits Shows 80 miles sometimes in a 30 mile zone. This cost me a speeding ticket due to this error. I put the car in for them to investigate the mileage. I bring my car today they give me a Mazda manual no camera even though they knew the car was Motorbility. They didn't seem to have put any thought into this whatsoever as I expected a similar car making it easier for myself to drive the Courtesy car. The car itself is lovely with so many good features shame the staff let it down as the team at Tamworth leaves a lot to be desired. Another call was found for me and they were giving it to me. Practically empty. How appalling is that!!!
When I Was looking to buy a vehicle, they couldn’t do enough for me. Two months later I feel as if I’m dismissed. They don’t care since the car has been paid for and you can’t return it like an item of clothing where you get a full refund which is unfair.
I want to give 2* this time as is not…
I want to give 2* this time as is not fair to write reviews only when you are unhappy with a product. But overall my saga with my Hyundai i40 (if you read my previous two reviews for same vehicle) ended with booked for repair in mid Nov, left in the garage mid Dec and I collected my car end of Jan, so being without this vehicle for around 9 weeks. Had a quite a few discussions with garage management to push towards completions and it cost me 9 weeks not using the car and paid £700 for diagnostic due to intermittent fault in the CAN-BUS (ECU's communication line), Hyundai was unable to locate the source so they had to do 5 hours diagnostic disconnecting every ECU one by one to find that my rear camera was badly corroded leaking water to the cable connector which caused catastrophic failure on CAN-BUS communication. Anyway camera malfunction was obvious as the camera wasn't working from last two years so when you move the car in the car park every time you switch to reverse gear every driver can identify that the camera isn't working, and I believe Hyundai definitely saw this when moved my car in the repair cell and experience technician could just suspect the camera without spending 5 hours cost £100+ per hour to disconnect every ECU. Anyway I didn't paid for replacement camera as Hyundai asked for additional £850, instead I asked they to disconnect and isolate the plug as paying that much for camera which fail after 5 years is ridiculous. I'm moving away from this manufacturers as it cost me a lot of stress, risking my life due to poor quality but a fancy looking car which is the only point I can give for this guys but not enough to keep me in their family.
WARNING ‼️
WARNING ‼️
If your time is important and you want a company respectful, it’s not what you are looking on Hyundai . My car has broken down and I waited nearly 3 weeks for part . When the part came to Hyundai company, they kept me waiting another 10 days to fitting the parts. Which at all with fully check not taking more than 1or 2 hours. I called them every day and they kept saying tomorrow . Also when I called them day after day said we will call you around 4:30pm and I never get a call from the company. I already had complaints to the Hyundai UK because I lost my one week job. Because they keep saying me tomorrow and all was bulshit and I didn’t get any call back from them. I am waiting for Hyundai UK to respond
Paid 22k for a 1 year old Hyundai…
Paid 22k for a 1 year old Hyundai Tucson from an approved dealership (Basildon Hyundai, owned by Essex Motor Company). The car needed a dent fixing on the door which they did as part of the deal with me buying the car. As part of the dent fix they had to respray the door and after 5 months they finally did it, and it came back the wrong colour grey. They then resprayed it again. 1 year later the paint is fading again. Although the car was sold to me having a full warranty this was not the case. The dealership which sprayed it is no longer a Hyundai dealership and the warranty company state the car is not covered as it had been resprayed. I raised a complaint with Hyundai UK and they supposedly investigated the issue. I have call recordings between the dealerships manager and Hyundai UK where they are agreeing i'm trying to con them???. All they have to do is inspect the car which they havnt done.Hyundai UK want nothing to do with the issue as they say its between me and the dealership. They looked into the phone discussion between the dealership and the investigator from Hyundai UK and state they see nothing wrong with what was said. I will be posting this phone conversation on social media so people can see what Hyundai UK think about their customers. The cars themselves but the customer care is a joke, never again will I buy a Hyundai.
Don’t buy a Hyundai there customer…
Don’t buy a Hyundai there customer service is non existent . They don’t have a clue they cannot lease with warranty dispute and you cannot contact the warranty department as they don’t have a number. This means the warranty is worthless so why give a 5 year warranty
2020 Hyundai Tucson 1.6 diesel hybrid
2020 Hyundai Tucson 1.6 diesel hybrid, driven 34,000 miles. Dropped car off for a recall service to Macklin Motors Edinburgh East. Got a phone call saying that engine is running rough and it most likely it needs to be repaired under warranty. To cut the story short - after a month i had to pay £150 and arrange a trailer to collect the car. Engine was on the floor in bits - literally. All parts, bolts and pieces covered in gravel.. Exaust, driveshafts etc. was already in the back of the car.. I was told that warranty was declined and they won't be putting it back together. I have all the recorder phone calls, emails and video / photos etc as evidence. The car was driven into the garage, now i have a car that has been taken apart, with 100's of bolts, engine parts, drive parts, washers and hoses inside the car!!! I still cannot understand what is going on! Are they having a laugh?? I did not gave them permision to destroy my car! I want it back as it was so i can take it to another garage! Legal action is in process, i cannot believe "reputable" dealership has done that! And there's no direct contact for Hyundai Warranty Department so i cannot even ask what is going on! There's only Hyunday Customer Care that don't have a clue either..
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Don't reply to.any contact. Mis-sold a car (Didn't get the hybrid model ordered the supplied an ordinary petrol dealer didnt tell us either)
TOTALLY STAY CLEAR. NOT EVEN WORTH HAVING ONE STAR
Fantastic service
Fantastic service. From the sale of the car to the aftersales team. Took care of me at every step. Lovely atmosphere with a great team to look after you. Would happily recommend to anyone.
Ok so I purchased a brand new i10…
Ok so I purchased a brand new i10 premium automatic ( I won't give out the dealers just yet ) .. I had gone with Kia but decided against it as the dealer failed to keep me updated plus I had found out that the car I had chosen had many issues and so I decided to try out Hyundai ... I was sold very quickly on an i10 1.2 premium because it was a car that was already in the system .. I would have been waiting until May 2024 so I went with the one they had .. not the colour I had in mind but still lovely .. so I was given the date of end of April for delivery but was super delighted to find that my car had been pushed forward by 3 months ... However it took constant chasing via Hyundai on Facebook as it seems my dealer couldn't be bothered to keep me updated as promised... There had been a total of 4 updates, none of which came from him ..
What concerns me the most is that I now have the VIN number and apparently the name of the cargo ship unfortunately this ship is going in the opposite direction so find it hard to believe it will hit Tilbury on the 28th January.. after research there is no record of this ship even arriving on that day so I am just as confused as I was before I got the information... I messaged the dealer asking for the right delivery time frame as I need help fetching the car.. told he would contact me on the Monday .. yeah that didn't happen just like the last time I messaged him, had to send a reminder text just to get a reply!!!! I don't expect anyone to just drop everything for me but if you tell the customer you will keep them updated then at least stand by your word!!
I kind of get the feeling that if your a motability car purchase then the service is much lower as it would have been if it was a cash deal but after looking at the reviews I think we are all in the same club...
I thought that the i10 was stunning but I'm now getting nervous after seeing all the issues people are having from a new car especially body damage .... Customer service isn't what It used to be but it would have been nice if my dealer had of kept in touch and kept me up to date because it's nice when someone treats you with respect and besides i could have gone elsewhere !!! I just hope I don't come to regret my decision in choosing Hyundai over Kia
Will update once car arrives !!!!
It's a sad state when we as customers have to do all the chasing ....

Visited to change my motability car and was well looked after by Paul Sadler.
He took his time to discuss the car I was interested in
The one I wanted, a Hyundai Tuscan had a 8 - 9 month wait but I ordered one anyway.
I had a phonecall off Paul to tell me they had a Tucson that someone had cancelled on.
I was invited to go and see the vehicle which turned out to be perfect for me.
I took delivery of the car 1 week after that
The car is everything I wanted, thanks to Paul for thinking oof me and sorting everything out.
Highly recommend Paul Sadler and Stourbridge hyundai
Hyundai Tuscan ‘go’ 2018 42000 miles…
Hyundai Tuscan ‘go’ 2018 42000 miles automatic
Car broke down nearly 5 weeks ago now, just out of 5 year warranty, only given 3 months dealer (main Hyundai Kidderminster) in July
Towed back to Hyundai Stourbridge diagnostic clutch, actuator gear actuator roughly £7K!!!! To put right
Still waiting to see if they are going to fix it ‘good will’ as car is young, very low mileage, full Hyundai service history and basically shouldn’t happen.
Waiting on phone call again today from Hyundai UK but still nothing!
Let’s hope………..
Well nearly a week gone and still nothing progressing!!!
No one calls back, even if you emphasise please ring me back and just let me know!
Into sixths week now of car off the road and stuck at Hyundai (all electric) garage Stourbridge
It continues…….
Well another week gone, phone call after phone call with promises. They never ring back (Hyundai uk) even though I beg them to even for a yes or no!
Into seventh week off the road now and at £1000/ year insurance plus road tax it’s getting a joke and money wasted
Please Hyundai do something!!!
It continues……..
Well, now 7-2-2024 no car, no response
All electric stourbridge, which shows to be a Hyundai dealer also dodging to help pay, keep referring us to Hyundai uk
The car was purchased from you, you should help/ deal with the poor longevity of this car
Surely it should last longer than 40 thousand miles with a full service history from you, very very poor
Really not impressed
I wish I could get my money back but know little about consumer act.
Had enough now….

Excellent customer service and Paul was amazing. Couldn't do enough for us .
Charge myHyundai ap Falsely Charges You
They use an electric charging account company called Charge myHyundai. The ap has a serious flaw and you can be charged by someone charging after you have completed your transaction. This happened to me. I finished my transaction disconnected and drove off. The next customer charged up a full battery and it was charged to my account. Charge my Hyundai have refused to reimburse me for this charge. Do Not Trust Charge myHyundai. Hyundai need to review their relationship with these guys as this with hurt their reputation.
Unreliable
I bought my Jan 2023 Hyundai Tucson Plugin in April 2023. It was a demonstrator as the waitlist for new cars was going to be at least 10 months.
My initial impression was very positive, and it has a been a joy to drive. However, 6 weeks ago when I went to start the car, it was completely dead. By using the mechanical key to get in, open the bonnet, and charge the 12v battery, everything came to life immediately.
I thought that perhaps it was my fault that I had left something turned on so carried on using the car without any problem, until this morning.
Exactly the same issue. The car was completely dead.
I called the (excellent) AA Recovery Service and they diagnosed that either, the 12v battery had failed or, the car's software was not turning something off and so was draining the battery. I should add that at no point were there any warning messages in the car about the battery or its charging.
I don't feel at all happy using the car as it may fail again at any time, and (the final straw) the first appointment I can get for a Hyundai dealer to look at it is nearly 6 weeks.
For a car that is less than a year old with 6000 miles on the clock, this is very disappointing indeed. The top of my wish list for any car is that I feel I can rely on it and, sadly, that is no longer the case with this car.
Fantastic customer service
What an absolute delight Samantha was. She was really helpful, nothing was enough trouble. Answered all our questions with humour and honesty made us feel like we were her most important customer ever. A credit to her team.
Very smooth process
I recently purchased a car for my daughter on the mobility scheme at Wessex Garages Penarth Road Cardiff.
Jonathan was so helpful, he talked us through the whole process, never made us feel like we were any different to any other customer. The car arrived sooner than we thought and Jonathan run through everything - the process was so smooth and enjoyable and my daughter loves her car. Would highly recommend Wessex Garages and Jonathan made the whole process so easy - thank you for all you help and assistance.
