Throughout my career in property…

Throughout my career in property development, I have worked with numerous valuation firms, but Hymans & Co. stands out as the most unprofessional and unreliable group I have ever encountered. Their incompetence and questionable practices should serve as a warning to anyone considering their services.

In their first assessment of several properties in our portfolio, they grossly undervalued the assets—placing their worth below the original rural land purchase price, even after a Development Application (DA) approval had significantly increased their market value. Shockingly, when engaged for a second valuation, they performed even worse.

Their most alarming act of unprofessionalism came when they contradicted their own valuation of a property in the Sydney Metro Station area—which they had appraised just six months prior. Instead of adjusting for market growth and project progress, they downgraded the valuation, defying all logic and industry standards.

It became clear that Mr. Hymans and his team, were personally offended when we previously challenged their flawed assessments, suggesting a lack of objectivity and professional integrity. Their actions reflect a serious conflict of interest and a disregard for fair business practices.

For anyone seeking accurate, ethical, and professional property valuation services, I strongly advise against engaging with Hymans & Co. Their track record of inconsistencies, unjustified devaluations, and retaliatory behavior makes them a significant liability to any serious investor or developer.

Fantastic surveyor.

Ian went above and beyond for us as our surveyor on not one, but two, properties. He was extremely generous with his time, happy to explain complicated things in simple English, and was always very thorough in his reports. Ultimately, he helped us avoid buying a property that needed more work than we could afford. We don't plan on moving anytime soon - but whenever we do, we won't be looking anywhere else!

Rude people with poor cyber security

Let's start with the fact that their cyber security is poor. They were hacked and REFUSED to admit liability. Even though the police deemed them to be at fault.
Let's continue with the fact that they found no major fault with the house despite missing way too much.
Do NOT use this company. Find another. Don't give them the time of day!
