Where do I start with this!!

Where do I start with this!!
1- van was dented all over and the sliding door wouldnt open
2- engine management light was on
3- no service has been carried out like company policy of 300 miles or 3 hires
4- Dirty on the inside
5- tank was 36% full so when returned you are expected to fill it to 36% (god knows how you are meant to work that out) just another tactic for them to take more money
6- service for customer service has been awful as they cant answer any of my questions
7- mis-sold the van as I was provided with a picture of a perfect clean van and was given something that was an embarrassment
8- dont use too much money for something that you are better off finding in a scrapyard!!

This system works very well

This system works very well. Book a van of the size needed for your job. The booking process is quick & efficient and especially so after the initial booking. I like being able to collect & return the vehicle at a time that suits me & I can leave my car in it's place whilst I use it. The vans can be a little used but are always mechanically sound. I always video the whole van at the start & end of the rental period as this provides good evidence of the condition. Never have I had any problems with anything. Returning it takes 2 minutes with a call to an efficient push the buttons automated system. Recommended.

I needn't have worried, don't believe all the negative reviews.

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive after all the negative reviews here, but I'm going to give you the benefit of my personal experience.
The van (Ford transit SWB) was exactly where they said it would be.
Unlock by automated system first time no issue.
Took the key out of the key safe, with the provided code.
Spent 10 minutes photographing the damage to the van and checking the hirer log book, and apart the damage already stated, a few ding and scratches (exactly what I expected for a 59 plate vehicle with 127,000+ on the clock)
It started first time, I took it up the M4 and M5 (to Exeter from London) and back (about 400 miles ) with out a single issue.
Refueled to the level I received it at (maybe a litre or two more) and locked the keys in the safe, and locked the van using the automated telephone system. Without issue.
Yes they are not brand new van, yes they are only as clean as the last user, but they are roadworthy and suited my purposes. Convenient and cost effective, drop off and pick.up 24/7.. will use again with out hesitation.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

In the many years of hireing cars and vans this must be the worst company I have ever had to deal with. 1: Van not left in the location given. 2: Unable to unlock Van with code given so had to contact HQ. 3: van smells like an animal had died in it. 4: Van looks like it had never been cleaned EVER. Pet hair all over the passenger seat and driver seat stained. 5: Van drove like a pile of S***. 6: Told to leave the engin running if you need to use the tail lift. 7: Unable to lock the back shutter as there was no lock and just being held by a single bit of wire. 8: Rear shutter totally damaged.

When I informed I CAN HIRE of all the issues the first thing the Franchise owner said was 'Whats your problem' (rather than 'Sorry, how can we help you), then 'Have you hired from us before, because I can tell you now you won't be hireing from us again' All this in the opening moments of a conversation....Great customer service

I ended up just putting the keys back in the van and telling them to come and collect it.

NEVER AGAIN - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

AVIOD this company at all cost !!!!!!!!

This was the first time I had dealt with this company and will certainly be the last. The images on their website for the vehicles you think you are hiring are not the vehicles you actually receive. Well this was certainly the case for me. I arrived at the location to pick up my vehicle and I walked past the vehicle about 5 times and when I looked at the vehicle registration I couldn't believe the vehicle was the one I was suppose to be hiring. The vehicle was full of scrapes and rust and the door for the petrol was taped on. I tried to go through the automated system to open the vehicle but this didn't work. I was completely surprised by this (I hope you can sense the sarcasm within that last sentence). The number for customer services just rings through and their is no operator on the other side. I can honestly put my hand on my heart and be very clear in my direction to you future customers. Avoid this company at all costs and spend the extra £10, £20 going with an actual national dealer with a great reputation.

No seat belt and no customer service

... and one star is generous!

Picked up van with my 7 year old in toe, only to find neither passenger seat belts secured. Refused to drive the van as one, it would be illegal and two, no way I'm putting my child at risk. Rang company immediately - was put on hold for over 12 minutes! Eventually told there were no other vans available so they would rearrange and refund me. This was two weeks ago and I am still STILL waiting for my refund.

If I could give 0 stars I would.

I made a booking and was asked for some additional information. I called back within 30 minutes but couldn't get through to their "24 hour support line", it just rang through. I tried 3 times and sent two emails, but heard nothing until 2 days later when I was informed my booking was cancelled and there were now no more vans available.

I then hired a van from a different location. The van wouldn't unlock but again, the "24 hour line" was apparently sitting in an empty room. We finally figured it out ourselves.

The money for the hire was taken out of my account along with two additional payments, with no invoice or any clue what the extra charges are for. I have been trying for 4 days to get through but no answer on phone or email. I will be taking further action to get my extra money back and try to get this unlawful company shut down.

Avoid using this company at all costs

Please avoid this company at all costs. I booked a van and only after travelling to the destination to pick it up there was no sign of the van! When I rang to enquire where it was they said it was not available, someone else had it. I was not offered a refund, they said I could pick up a different van the next day from a different location. When I arrived to pick the van up the following day it was in terrible condition ( not just filthy but bashed and damaged externally) when we had trouble starting the van we decided not risk the journey, in case it cut out altogether. When I rang the co to say say we were not going to take the van, I was denied a refund. There was no manager that I could speak to and they even started to challenge my authenticity. Terrible customer service and unlawful. Take my advise don't use these people. Please take note I never go to the trouble of writing reviews good or bad but felt strongly about saving other people the pain of dealing with this company.

Avoid these people at ALL costs.
I hired a van for a day as they were almost half the price of Zipvan. There is a reason for that. The van had 126,000 miles on the clock and was a wreck. In terms of noting existing damage, it would have been easier to note the areas that WEREN"T covered with dents, scratches, rust etc.
It was an embarrassment to drive.No AC either. Text service to unlock doesn't work and keysafe hard to access.
The van was flithy, cab and rear. I'm surprised it is actual legal to rent vehicles in this appalling condition.
You have been warned.

Short cheap rental

A 2 hour rental in West London. Finding the van by road/postcode is a bit iffy. Text service didn't work but the phone system was fine for accessing the van. Getting the key from the locker was hard as the digits were almost illegible. Van was scruffy but clean. Smashed glass on nearside mirror wasn't great. But it drove well. Lucky to find a parking space on return, don't know what to do if there wasn't one. Invoice through within two hours, £30'plus 3l of fuel which is fine - cheap and did the job.

Booked a van with them for the first …

Booked a van with them for the first time at £15 an hour. Van was 9 years old had done over 100,000 miles, took several attempts logging in to get the van to open. Once opened and started the ABS warning light and skid sign showed up on the dash. As a result of this the speedo did not work at all. Which is a nightmare considering the no of speed cameras. Additionally the vans side door had been very poorly repaired with filler and rust coming through and could not be opened. The inside of the van was filthy. PLease do not use this company, I have emailed them for a refund now 4 times only reply was bear with us, still waiting for any sensible reply 12 days later. I would never have used them had I read the reviews on here first

Straightforward rental system

Straightforward rental system. Signed up on their website booked a van in the Woodford area of London for the whole day. Van was at the location sent to me by text and email. Automated unlocking and locking upon return worked as explained without any hiccups. Van was a 58 plate that clearly showed it's age and usage; dents, scrapes, cracked bumper, only 1 brake light working but all other lights did work. The van however seemed mechanically sound and got the job done. To be honest, if I read the negative reviews beforehand I would have avoided, but it just so happens that my experience on this single occasion happened to be all good.
