I had a biohazard cleanup from this company. At the time of the clean up I was advised that there was going to be an extra charge, before they could give me an actual price I reminded them that my initial quote included a van full of bags. I suggested to them that the van was nowhere near full and I was happy to send them a picture to reflect that.

Suddenly the idea of additional charges were dropped.

A while later I realised that I hadn't received the decontamination certificate. Initially I reached out to my initial contact but received a message that he was no longer with the firm so I emailed their general enquiries. After not hearing anything I called them and I honestly can't remember who I spoke to but I was promised my certificate. It never arrived.

So I reached out again through their webchat and received an email from a manager who also CC'd two other members of staff and their Operations team. He said that I would receive my certificate but if I didn't within 48 hours to chase him.

Well it never arrived, so I chased him. I received no reply from any of them.

I reached out again explaining I still hadn't heard anything, and unfortunately I'm still in that same boat having not heard anything.

In any firm there can be a breakdown in communication, but I have reached out on four occasions, the last two to specific members of staff who choose to simply ignore me.

All it needed was someone to take ownership of the issue and it would take all of two minutes to resolve.

UPDATE: By noon on the first business day following my review I received two items of communication from ICE. The first was through Trustpilot requesting that I remove names from my review. I have complied with this.

The second was from the manager concerned who apoligised and issued with my certificate

This was honestly the best £300 I've ever spent for the survey, I had no idea about mould and it turns out we've been living in a damp bedroom for over a year with a completely contaminated carpet. I'm so glad that now I know that my illness wasn't all in my head and I can finally put it down to something. Matt man was so good, he just knew straight away, did all the readings really methodically and he's so so knowledgeable. I am just so grateful for his help and the team for fitting me in last minute, their expertise and how thorough their work is. I will 100% be using ICE again before I move into a property.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with ICE Service Group. We were given a firm go-ahead for an emergency booking, and our team committed time and resources accordingly. At the last minute, they booked another provider without informing us, leaving us with wasted preparation and significant disruption.

This kind of disorganisation and lack of communication is unprofessional and shows little regard for the time or effort of others. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them for any urgent or time-sensitive work.
