I am closing all my ICICI NRE/NRO Accounts
We have NRE & NRO account with ICICI Bank. My wife went to India after 4 years assuming she has money in ICICI and don't need to take dollars from here. But after reaching there in the branch they are saying some message is popping up and not letting withdraw the money, it may be a KYC issue. I filled all the required KYC request and it took 1 full day to complete the KYC for them. After that my wife went again to the branch to extract money and they said the same thing again that the message is still popping up and she can't take the money out. This is so frustrating and we feel that ICICI is not equipped to serve NRI customers. Their 24/7 US customer service has to wait for India to take action and that takes 1-2 days to do anything. Basically the purpose of having a NRI/NRO account with ICICI was to not carry dollars every time and use our money there. with this instance the purpose is defeated and I am planning to close all accounts with ICICI

Very arrogant staff behavior...I usually transact online.. I wanted to check on one failed transaction at the branch.. As it was around 4 pm an hr after bank closure..They refused to even listen to me..I never had such pathetic experience with other banks till date.

Went to Kailash Colony, New Delhi to open a NRO account on 29.04.2024 at 1:30 pm. The employee could not find anyone to open an account. I left asking myself the question if such banks are prepared to support the great vision of Mr Modi to drive Indian economy to a developed nation status. I think these institutions need to skill their employees further. Very poor performance.

I have a home top up loan with icici. There were some pending charges about 3 years back which I was not aware,nor the bank has intimated me. Without any information they have deducted the sum of rs10000 from my account. When I ask the call center, they are giving the explanation that bank has right to deduct any pending charges without any notice.

The worst support team and policies, I have set auto debit for my Credit card and it was due on 7th April but due to the Holiday Auto debit will be not made, previously I made a manual payment and both payment was executed. Now they are charging me for late payment and for Auto payment failure. The support is very bad, they can only provide recorded replies when we ask extra questions all will cut the call.

Had been having long standing issues with my Indian ICICI Bank accounts because of my inability to comply with various hurdles which got generated because of Digital revolution in the country since 2014!
Correspondence for many of my accounts in India with other leading Indian Banks have so far met with NO PROGRESS!
I must appreciate that only ICICI Bank took pains to address my issues as and when I could contact them, but the problems had outgrown and mutiplied with time. However, Daniya Grover, Financial Service Officer patiently & boldly listened to my outstanding issues, sat down for hours with us without any grudge, that too smilingly and tackled all the issues, Systematically using Legally correct techniques within the framework of RBI's Directives.
Positive and encouraging results are being received and my confidence in ICICI performance is all time HIGH in comparison to the Leading Indian and Canadian Banks.

I visited the ICICI Bank Branch at Mississauga, Ontario; on Tuesday, March 19, 2024; to validate their KYC protocol relating to my account, surmount Online Banking challenges and other issues.
Ms. Daniya Grover greeted me warmly, apologised for the short wait and proceeded to hear me out.
Through oversight, I had filled in relevant information in the KYC, but apparently I had used forms that have since been updated. As a result, Daniya input the information for me.
I was struck by her polite demeanour and professionalism. I watched in awe as she rapidly and efficiently navigated and input data in the KYC, Online Banking and other allied ICICI Bank forms. For me, it was a rewarding experience.
Daniya seems to have vast Executive potential. Truly an immense asset to ICICI Canada.

Opening of a new branch to compete SBI & Bank of Baroda
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have made several attempts to send this request by email, but there is nothing on Google! Hence, here it is.
I wish to suggest opening a new branch in Karcheliya, Dist Surat. Your nearest existing branches are located in Bardoli & Navsari (Gujarat), approximately forty-five minutes to an hour away from Karcheliya. We would appreciate a new branch to better serve our community compared to the nearby SBI and BOB branches.
Currently, we are serviced by SBI, BOB, and Dist Co-Op Bank, all of which have a two-star ranking.
As an account holder with both banks for over 40 years, I have consistently faced issues with face-to-face and net banking.
I maintain three NRE, NRO, and FD accounts with both banks. Their networks frequently experience downtime, OTPs are not sent, password problems often lead to login failures, and the branches are slow to assist with unlocking accounts or processing transactions.
Karcheliya is surrounded by 18 villages with substantial agricultural income and numerous NRI residents.
I propose sending a team to investigate the feasibility of opening a new branch with modern décor and a high level of service. We are tired of receiving poor service and believe a successful venture would be mutually beneficial. Competition is overdue, and existing branches should acknowledge the changing times.
If interested, I am willing to offer three plots for building a new premise, achievable within 50 lakhs (approximately NZ $100,000).
Please contact me to arrange a meeting with my representative in Karcheliya. Even if you are not interested in building a bank on my land, I strongly advocate for the presence of a new branch to better serve the community and expand your operations.

ICICI Harrassment to close PINS Demat account
I raised a request to close PINS and Non PINS demat accounts and submitted paper work on 17th November. ICICI guys have closed my trading accound and non PINS account but asked to me to raise a new request to close PINS account. Troubles started from that time, they claim documents not received first, now they acknowledge documents have been received (closure request form and Client Master Copy) to close account and transfer about 5 lakhs worth of shares to Kotak.
Till date, they do not respond to emails or calls and the account still open.
Now, I started getting letters from the stocks that they are unable to deposit dividends and ICICI sends an email to pay Rs.800 for the account I cannot access nor would like to keep it open.
This is the my worst customer experience from an Indian Bank. I am a UK based NRI, sent documents twice and also when I was in India submitted documents in Khairtabad branch in person on 17th November 2023, still waiting to close the account and access stocks.
