Very bad quality!! Dont buy anything there!

Just got some new shelfs and tables plates. Very light, not much materials.

Mounted them snd starts using them.

Placed a piece og tape om the edge of the table, some thing you should be able to. When I removed the tape - the “white paint” came off.

After using them - table - it scratches all the time - even “soft” things makes a scratch!

This is too bad quality!!!

The “paint” keep falling of, this was the last time I do buy anything from IKEA.

The quality of the products are equal…

The quality of the products are equal with the value of the price. I bought lot of their items since my house is not that far from IKEA. I love their kitchenware, but have a love-hate relationship with their furniture. But beggar cannot become chooser. So I will keep continue buying from IKEA.

Staff customer service attitude

I have some questions for stock, I go to the services counter for some help, I am the first and only me in the queue, the staff don't look me and just keep talking to another staff for more than 20 mins, I feel very embarrassing and no choice to walk away, after I finished in the self checkout and look back, I saw they still talking, embarrassing again.....

Placed online order 22/2/26 order due…

Placed online order 22/2/26 order due 27/2/26, order never arrived had call 3:30pm to say van broke down.
Saturday 28/2/26 phoned IKEA to ask when would I receive my order, given date Thursday 5/3/26 12:30 today, rang to ask if I was going to receive order, was told my slot up to 1:45 and to call after if no order as open until 8pm.
4:15pm rang to say order not here, was told nothing to say it was on the way so I cancelled order.
This was my first and last order with Ikea, absolutely terrible service. People who answered call very good, but you want you order and not apologies.
Please don’t order online.

Shockingly Poor After-Care from IKEA

Shockingly Poor After-Care from IKEA

Our experience with an IKEA kitchen has been incredibly disappointing, mainly due to the complete lack of after-care once the kitchen was installed.

One of the appliances supplied with the kitchen (the dishwasher) was installed incorrectly and eventually leaked. Despite contacting IKEA for support, we received no meaningful response, and the situation was left unresolved. In the end, we had no choice but to pay a plumber ourselves to fix the problem, which was costly and entirely avoidable.

The leak also caused damage to the cabinet plinth feet, and when we asked IKEA to send replacements they sent the wrong parts, leaving us with no clear way to repair the damage. We are now dealing with water damage and cracked cabinets, and IKEA has shown little interest in taking responsibility or helping resolve the situation.

What makes this even more frustrating is the comparison with other appliance manufacturers. For example, when our AEG washing machine previously had an issue, their engineer came out within two days and fixed it without hassle. That’s what proper customer support looks like.

By contrast, IKEA’s after-care has been non-existent. Once the kitchen is installed, it feels like the customer is completely on their own.

My advice to anyone considering an IKEA kitchen: think very carefully before committing, and if you do go ahead, avoid IKEA-supplied appliances and choose established appliance brands with proper service support instead.

They also sent fitters who took 5 months to fit our kitchen. I then found out there were local campaigns to prevent them running a limited company due to how bad they are

Sadly, based on our experience, we would strongly urge people to stay away from IKEA kitchens if you expect reliable support when things go wrong.

Appalling customer service

Attempted to return £12 handles to IKEA. Two home collections were arranged by IKEA and both were cancelled on their side. I then spent multiple 10-minute waits on the phone for customer service, was disconnected during one call, and was refused clear escalation details when asking to raise a formal complaint.

Despite the failed collections being entirely IKEA’s responsibility, I have now been informed that any further collection attempt will cost £25 — more than double the value of the unopened item.

The time, obstruction and disproportionate handling over a £12 return is extremely disappointing and does not reflect well on IKEA’s customer service. I will not use again.

Stick to the meatballs

Echoing many previous reviews-dreadful service from UK site. Sent two halves of wrong bed. Eventually sent the correct half but left me with two half beds that were unwanted. 6 occasions collection never happened despite assurances they would. Customer service (inappropriately named) generally quite pleasant but ineffective in gaining the desired outcome. Keep telling me not to throw out the unwanted items that have been in my hall for 4 weeks but they are soon going to the tip. My advice - don't bother if you value your mental health. Pity to see company that was quite innovative originally now becoming a joke. No corporate responsibility & obviously not bothered by atrocious reviews on Trust Pilot. Avoid!

Never order online from IKEA

I placed an online order for a bed and paid for delivery because I live over an hour from any IKEA store. The delivery of the bed was delayed for 3 months.

Once the bed was delivered, one of the boxes was missing, so I was unable to assemble the bed. Of course, I realized this once I got to the step where I needed that box. I called, and they said they could not send a single box, so I would need to return the entire bed, and they would send a new one. Since the bed was out of stock, they could not do that. We agreed that I would drive 90 minutes to the nearest IKEA on a certain date, and they would have the missing box waiting for me.

I arrived at the store on the agreed date only to learn that the order for the missing box was automatically canceled because it was out of stock. No communication was sent to me. The service desk in the store could not process any return or help me; I would need to call the help number instead. So there goes my entire day. I spent an hour on the phone to agree to return the bed for a refund and made it clear that the bed was unpacked because I had begun assembling it before realizing a box was missing. They said this was not a problem, just to group the pieces together so it would be easy to collect. They again pushed for me to drive the bed to an IKEA store to return it and receive a refund, but we eventually made an appointment for a truck to come pick up my bed from my house.

I then received a text saying they were on their way to my house to pick up the bed on a totally different day from the one we agreed on. I was away travelling and thus not able to give them the bed. I then received a text that the order was cancelled. Then, on the day originally booked for their pickup, the truck arrived, but they did not want to pick up the bed pieces, even though I had made it clear several times that the parts were no longer in the boxes when I booked the return. Eventually, they took the bed after some convincing.

Now, 2 months later, I no longer have the bed, and I still have not received a refund. I can see on my account that the return was cancelled even though they collected the bed. My son (whose bed it was to be) slept on our couch for over 3 months during this process.

ALL IN ALL
Overall process = 5 months
Kid without a bed = 3 months (until I bought one from somewhere else)
Lost money = 5700DKK (never refunded)
Lost time = 1 day + 4 hours on the phone

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is no accountability, no communication, and a willful determination from the company to avoid addressing errors.

Furniture’s alright, just watch for missing pieces

I ordered quite a few items from IKEA Newcastle. Overall, they’re mostly fine. Occasionally a few bits are missing, but after contacting them, I usually get the missing pieces within a couple of days.

The furniture itself is decent, nothing spectacular, but not bad either. Instructions can be a bit confusing at times, but so far there’s been no damage, unlike some other shops I’ve bought from. So, all in all, it’s a fairly smooth experience, aside from the occasional missing part So, all in all, it’s a fairly smooth experience, aside from the occasional missing part, which is sometimes annoying as I have to postpone putting the furniture together until I have time again.

What's happened to Ikea quality?

I have been buying Ikea flat pack furniture on and off for years and have always found it good quality, with excellent fittings and accurate screw holes. I have just put together the Idanas coffee table and have had issues with the screw hole position on one drawer runner. The quality of the runners is terrible and the plastic fixings for the drawers flimsy. Very disappointed and will not risk Ikea furniture again.

Out of stock, missing parts...

First few orders went ok until I realised the parts were out of stock once I have placed an order.

Second order was for the shelves, they were in stock when I ordered. We came to pick it up, roughly a hour drive to Nottingham and they tell us they can only give 5 shelves.

We checked and the shelves had missing screws attached, so they are now sitting there...

Terrible website, when I order items they should already be in stock, or show me straight away there is no stock.
Customer service is also terrible for click and collect, no people in the department we could talk to.

Not planning to buy any more, terrible service..

IKEA Italy has the worst customer…

IKEA Italy has the worst customer support. I bougth an electric towel dryer online that was delivered to me that has stopped working. The warranty is valid so I emailed them five times enclosing all documents.. You get an automstic answer each time saying they will contact you soon, but they don't. Then I called them and they promise to send a voucher, but they don't. Then they say they need to come and pick up the towel dryer before they can send a voucher. They promise to come Febr. 27, but they don't. Their customer service quality is just not working.

Ordered various items for bedroom

Ordered various items for bedroom, paid and chose delivery date (£40 delivery). Day before delivery email states refund for part of what I paid but doesn’t say what it’s for! Ring up, chest of drawers no longer in stock! No call to offer alternative or send another time. Website showed available but if I wanted it had to pay another £40 delivery! They did waive delivery in the end but now have to be home for yet another day for another delivery!
