Great course
I decided on the ARB course after coming across a severe case in one of the dogs I was supporting for a rescue charity. It was very interesting and added a lot to my knowledge - well worth it!

Highly recommend
Highly recommend this course' so up to date with all the current information and best practice' and all covered by someone who clearly knows and understands K9 First Aid
Level 3 course
Level 3 course. Way to expensive for what they provide. Frustrating that after not even a month they can’t refund you or stop the payment. Is taking way much time and money that initially they telling you. Just not informative and straightforward. Not happy at all with them.

Level 3 LMR
Level 3 Learning, Motivation & Reinforcement.
I completed the course but found it very frustrating and unenjoyable. I found many questions were badly written and ambiguous. There are spelling mistakes and page numbers missing in the handbooks I received, also spelling mistakes in the marking received from the tutors.
You are left to research on your own for some of the answers, which is ok but I felt they didn’t supply enough relevant material, you will be directed to pay extra for their webinars, which I thought should be included in the original cost.
You receive your marked answers by email and it seemed to be different people marking the consecutive units, following a script for correct answers. Free thinking was not encouraged and I felt some of these semi-anonymous, impersonal people were very patronising, rude on occasion and with a generally unhelpful tone. Marking with a single word to an answer you have submitted I thought was unacceptable.
When submitting answers (that you strongly suspect will be returned and asked to do again) because of a lack of information and tutoring in the first place, ironically, does not motivate me to carry on (but they already have your money).
If I could go back and choose another provider then it would probably be one that doesn’t de-value it’s courses by putting them in a sale at this time of year.
Judging by their responses to other negative reviews, perhaps some customer service training would be advisable?

Great experience! Definitely recommend!
I really enjoyed the 4 day course with IMDT because of the treatment from the instructors. All of them were fantastic, beyond helpful and more than happy to have a talk and answer any extra questions from us all. Brilliant course, I’ve learnt lots of new things and built my confidence too. Really recommend this course!

4 day practical course
The course allowed you to build up your confidence and knowledge to enable you to run a 20 minute class by the end of the week. The instructors were all friendly and knowledgeable. However I found that all instructors had different ways they would approach teaching behaviours which at times was conflicting and felt political at times. I also was sad at the length of time dogs were expected to be kept in a car. The description says short period of times. However on day 1 my dog was in the car 10- 12:25 and then in the afternoon was allowed to be out of the car but wasn’t engaged in any training or activity was expected to sit and chill whilst course attendees had to listen to a “how to” teach. Again day 2 the dog was in the car for periods of 1-2 hours which in my view isn’t short periods of time. It was only on day 4 that the dog was out of the car for long periods. Luckily it was October so the weather was cool but I wouldn’t recommend taking your dog it felt unfair. Also the facilities provided weren’t great there was nowhere to fill up water bottles for humans other than using hot urn water or toilet tap water. To improve the course it would have been great if the how to teaching was more practical with your dog and the group classes were smaller so there was an opportunity to learn and practice more behaviours rather than spending hours watching other course attendees present

Excellent courses and support
I've signed up for a 6 month level three course which I'm currently studying for. I've also completed their PMP webinar, been on their one day perfect puppy course and also their one day canine body language course. Last weekend (Oct 18-19 2025) I attended their 2 day course relating to dog training.
I've been very impressed with everything; the course material, standard of teaching and the support offered.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending IMDT. I'm extremely happy with my experience and the knowledge gained.

Insightful and engaging – but a lot to take in at once
I really enjoyed this course – it was fascinating and I learned a great deal about understanding dog language. The content was rich and informative, though at times it felt a bit “chalk and talk,” which is understandable given the webinar format.
In hindsight, I think I would have preferred the two-session option rather than the full-length version. There was so much valuable information, but I found myself fading a bit in the final hours. Breaking it up might have helped me absorb more and stay fully engaged throughout.
Overall, a worthwhile experience and I’d definitely recommend it – just consider the format that works best for your learning style.
A great opportunity to deepen your bond with your dog and better understand their world.

Very disappointed
As i said , you did offer me email support . I think a few actual conversations would have helped me on my way . It was email support you offered - as i said in my reveiw . A human touch would have gone a long way .

Superb course!
Superb course and great intro into dog training. Mus is a wonderful tutor and gave clear understanding of what we covered. I thoroughly enjoyed it, loved that it was over 4 evenings so I could still work and I've met some lovely people from the group
