Following the DEPLORABLE services of ING bank, I made the decision to repay my mortgage before maturity and to close all my bank accounts as well as all my insurance contracts with this bank. The date was set for Wednesday October 14, 2020 at their Borgloon headquarters with Ms. Joke S. for the signing of the fences. We (myself and my wife) signed several documents and unfortunately could not have any copies. That same day, I also gave them my bancontact and Visa cards.
It is intended that after this date, i.e. October 15, 2020 and inadvertently, there was a financial transfer from the company Computershare to my account, which was officially closed ...
I was informed on December 16, 2020 by Computershare UK that by mistake had made a transfer (10/15/20) to my old ING account. I was never informed by ING about this financial transfer, despite my 40 years as a loyal customer ... What a poor thank you. I was informed through the company Computershare that the amount had been paid into this ING account.
Therefore, I ask to receive an official document from ING which mentions that all my ING insurance accounts and contracts were indeed closed on October 14, 2020 and also I ask them to pay as soon as possible the amount of 50.93 euros to my new BELFIUS account (which they have in their possession because another payment from ING was made after 14/10 because it did not want to give me the money in cash on October 14, 2020 ...) . Also to inform me if other amounts have been paid into my accounts after 10/14/2020.
I ask that this bank does NOT send me any advertising, either by post, by e-mail or by any haggling ....
Sincerely,
Why you should never get an account or loan at ING BE:
- When my ex-partner and me separated and I took over the house and the loan, it took them more than 6 months to de-consolidate my partner despite weekly mailing and calling. As a result my ex could not get a new loan to buy his own house during that period and meanwhile prices have gone through the roof thanks to the Corona crisis so my ex cannot even afford a house anymore
- When they tell you they will mail you or contact you, they never do
- For the loan transfer we had to pay a administrative cost. We asked from which account and to which account we had to transfer the money and by when. We never received an anwser. They just took the money from our account without any warning. At that time there was not enough money on the shared account so it went below zero (hello interest!) although normally our account cannot go into debt but apparently for these things it can
- 10 months ago I asked that the bank transfers for paying the loan and the fire insurance would happen from my personal account and no longer from the shared account with my ex. I signed papers for this in the local ING office: until today transfers still happen from our shared account again many times calling and mailing
- I paid back upfront part of the loan so the monthly payings would be lower and as a result I was entitled to receive back part of my outstanding debt insurance (schuldsaldoverzekering). I received in January a letter I would get transfered over 300 EUR on my account. In March, nothing still had been transferred so I mailed and called several times again before they finally reacted that within 10 business days I would receive the money. I did receive it within 10 business days but only 100 EUR instead of 300 EUR. I also got a letter saying they made a "calculation error".
- You should receive the card reader within 3 days. It never shows up
- When you ask to combine the fire insurance (that you previously have at an another insurance company) for the house with the interior one they are not helpful at all although it is in their own interest to have both combined
- They suck in giving financial advice: tell you that you can transfer you pension savings from one bank to another without any cost which is absolutely not true. You lose a lot of money!
I can go on and on and on. Just don't get a bank account or a loan at ING. It will save you so much trouble and frustrations
I called the bank 3 times because the card wouldn't let me buy any online games, it only works on amazon / delivery services. they are extremly customer unfriendly, dont know how to do anything AND NEVER do ANYTHING. all cards could be stolen and they wouldn't care! the bank is a monkey show
My card was stolen so I called to block my account and replaced the card.
Two weeks later the card arrives (can't believe it takes so long) and then it gets blocked. Called to see what the issue was, it was that because it is a new card then I need to wait or a pincode.
I have been waiting for THREE MONTHS.
I can't access my money, my app, nothing.
Finally two weeks ago I was connected to a manager and she offered to get a pincode sent to her branch to be picked up since it won't come to me.
Two weeks ago and the pincode is not there yet.
She will let me know when it comes, meanwhile I can't even buy milk because my account is blocked.
I'm considering looking for legal advice.
Arrogant, completely customer unfriendly, switched from off-line home banking to App or website only, terrible for international transactions, completely user unfriendly, helpdesk is useless and when you write them an email you might get a response in a blue moon and the content is useless yet again, on top of this they rip you off on international transaction fees
Used to be fine, but they have got rid of the good people and installed systems that do not work. Trying to get anything done became a complete clown show.
I was left for several months with no access or visibility to my account. Incorrect text messages wasted my time, written and verbal instructions were ignored.
I have had to change banks. A process ING has completely messed up also. They ignored written instructions to pay and close the credit card account before closing the current account, and provided no instructions as to pay the credit card balance - that mess is still on-going. Meanwhile the credit card balance increases (for no reason I can see) plus the interest. Run from this bank as fast as you can.
No more agency, only cash dispensers. No-one answers the telephone. No answers to e-mails. If your card is lost, or blocked, or whatever, you have no access to your money for days and days without any solution in sight.
Typical bank in EU, one of the worst in Europe. Website said Free account, at the end of the year, charged me more than 100EURO. Free account my s.
Plus today they closed all of my accounts for no reason. Article 59 my s!
The most complicated and unclear banking ever. If you open a saving account, they will automatically open an investment account and transfer ~25 eur every month there. And you can't close it! You always have to have at least 25 euros otherwise they will charge you extra. And even if you sell all your investments, and close this investemnet account, they will reopen it again without letting you know.
Overall also very poor customer service. They can print your transactions for you, but if you ask about anything more complicated, they will call somewhere else, then say that someone not available and suggest to come another day.
Overall the worst and the most annoying banking experience I had so far (and I had bank accounts in Russia, UK, Germany and Belgium).
