In general I hate Invisalign. You have to be very disciplined to clean your teeth every time after eating (at the restaurants, cafes, on the food courts etc.). It is also not true that they... See more

I enquired about invisalign weeks ago and identified more than one dentist in my local area that provided the treatment. I went online, did the assessment and enquired further. Within a matter of 24 hours I was contacted by someone who works for Invisalign saying they would set up an appointment however rather than liaising with the dentist and myself together it was constant backwards and forward. They then started text messaging me about appointment which i thought was extremely unprofessional. I then heard nothing for days if not weeks until someone rang me again stating there was nowhere within 20 miles, of a post code i didn't even provide, for me to attend. Quite frankly the whole situation has put me off doing Invisalign and I am debating a different route. Very unprofessional and quite frankly absurd way of doing business.
Waste of time and money. Do your research. Your stuck wearing their retainers for life and if anything happens your on your own. Mine broke and I’ve not been able to get a replacement from my dentist - because of Invisalign hold ups-
For 6 weeks undoing two years or fowl. My teeth were ok and didn’t need that much work and now I’m £4K poorer ajd have to almost start again. Rubbish greedy company
Before my Invisalign treatment I did a lot of research and even read the Trust Pilot reviews, which nearly made me pull out, hence me wanting to write my own review. Invisalign was fantastic!
Yesterday, I completed my Invisalign treatment and am so happy with the results. It is truly one of the best things I have done and am immensely happy with my teeth.
I was very lucky and did not have any pain or discomfort during my treatment and after a few months was allowed to change my aligners every 7 days instead of 14. I completed my whole treatment in 5 months!
There are a couple of things that I was not told about until I researched it and they are:
1.You have attachments put on your teeth - and quite a lot too.
2. Some people have to have more aligners than originally thought (so don't be disheartened if you do)
3.you will have to wear a retainer 7 months after your treatment has finished and then nightly just to make sure your teeth do not move shape.
I done Invisalign through my dentist so would 100% recommend doing so through your own dentist who you know.
I booked my appointment from the website, they call me for confirmation! Today I left my work, I went to the dentist for my appointment and they told I don't have appointment and invisalign never call them or contact them for appointment! This company is a BIG JOKE !
So I had to have a tooth out because it got infected. Dentist said i should have had braces as a kid, which should have.
My teeth weren’t in the best shape. I opted for Invisalign treatment over metal braces because of my job, I’m cabin crew, so my teeth are always on show.
Started my treatment in jan 21 and it was meant to be a two year treatment but after ten months my treatment is nearly done.
I’ve had a couple of set backs because of a couple of stubborn teeth. But my ortho is amazing and just takes a new mould of my teeth. I then get new sets of aligners. I would highly recommend Invisalign.
Awful experience, truly awful. For me a disaster from the get go, eventually not helped by covid.. so after damaging my front tooth a number of years ago I was left with a large gap, I asked my dentist about treatment pre covid, we began Invisalign and things started out okay, then covid struck, after months of no further consultation the damaged tooth at the front became infected and this turned to root canal treatment and inevitably a dead tooth, months passed between appointments and here I am still with a gap, still slightly crooked and not even pearly white. Now my dentist has suggested he doesn’t want to move the teeth anymore in fear of losing the front tooth, so in the end I’m £3000 down, still far from perfect teeth and now the realistic possibility of losing my front tooth in the next 12 months. Really gutted about it.
Everything was going well, until invisalign's movement caused my upper right front tooth to die. This seems to be an outcome, that no one really discusses but do your research. Whilst I don't really blame my dentist, as it's a low chance, it was not discussed as even a remote chance with me. This should be a major talking point and evaluation. I would never have proceeded with Invisalign if it was floated that I had, in any way, chances of losing the vitality in a tooth. Painful procedures and expense for me for the rest of my life.
Smile Dental Donaghmede have lost my liners in their clinic for the second time. It’s like Fawlty Towers of Dentistry. I am 3 years waiting to finish my treatment. Even factoring in Covid the levels of incompetence are incomprehensible.
I have no idea whats going on with their website but nobody has responded to any of my previous 9 request to be contacted. I had a text message after my 4th request by a random mobile number claiming to be from invisalign and after I informed them which practice I wished to have my treatment with the contact fell silent. I have since received numerous spam phone calls and had my number leaked along the way. From the lack of response and unprofessionalism I tried to reach out by email to which I also had no response and I finally tried to reach out on Twitter to which I was met with no response again. Very off putting that a product/service which cost over thousands of pounds do not have the staff or quality systems to meet the customer care required. Avoid avoid avoid.
Absolutely horrific! DO NOT DO IT. My dentist has tried to fluff his way around the partial results. Has anyone successfully had a refund or part refund? I’m going to get an independent opinion on the result now my “Invisalign journey has come to an end’ with the teeth only moved half way to their predicted result. I’m still left with teeth that tip inwards causing the back of the top front teeth to wear out the tops of the lower front teeth. My dentist wants to charge another 4K to make them a bit better with veneers and crowns. I feel preyed upon as a disabled person and I am disgusted that uk dentists are using this service. If anyone would like to enter into a group action against Invisalign and the dentists who have sold the service, please comment below
It’s been a month since they filled all my details in their system to be contacted.
I find it rude to ask your clients to fill out all these forms and answer all the questions so you can just keep my data not bothering contacting me for my first apt.
I am happy to not collaborating with invisalign tbf.
If it’s that impossible to just pick up the phone to contact a client, imagine what they are doing with ppls teeth.
Pls dont bother to reply to this asking for my details to be contacted, you clearly had your chance :D
If I'd known their service was going to be as poor as this (even before lockdown!) I would have looked for an alternative provider. If they've got the marketplace sewn up - then its a shame. My dentist is at the mercy of them sending the aligners. And each one is just weeks and weeks apart. What a laborious process this has been. Very frustrating. My dentists are fab and really lovely but in all honesty I really wish I'd not used invisalign and carried on researching until I'd found another. Its a very costly wait (£3k+)
Not a good experience with customer service. Helpless and never comeback here.
Terrible customer service, just like someone in the comments below my dentist went out of business and I’ve tried to contact Invisalign about my treatment and had to resolution. So I asked SEVERAL times to make a formal complaint and they have completely ignored me. DO NOT USE THEM. Absolutely AWFUL 🤬🤬🤬🤬
contacted invisalign to arrange an appointment. I responded to their initial text enquiring about my dates and availability 3 weeks ago and still haven't had a response, sent several messages since and no reply.
I paid in full for my treatment with two retainers remaining. My practice went out of business and I needed to get proof from Invisalign that I had remaining treatment to present to a third party in order to try to get the remaining treatment without having to pay all over again. Three weeks, multiple emails and I still have had no phone call.
I paid £3k for my treatment. I was happy but not fully satisfied...but happier than I was. You get 3 sets of cheap plastic retainers that are meant to last forever according to the dentists that you have to wear every night, fine but at least be sturdy and fit my mouth properly. It has been 10 months to date and I have gone through all 3. First being February then May then July. I contacted the clinic early on April as an emergency as my teeth were moving back and they are wobbly....the retainers became loose with it. I'm having to keep my last set now whilst its cutting and causing my gums to bleed all the time and they want me to pay £150 for 3 sets....and give me the whole oh it was meant to be £400?. Talk about money scheme here! If I had seen these reviews before I would have gotten train tracks. According to invisalign because I didn't get in touch within 3 months I'm not covered... so that proves that they don't last long then to pay £3k and get a 3 month warranty.....So disappointed and clearly there is no point in contacting invisalign because it seems they don't give a a damn or answer anyone.
They take zero responsibility for their products. Basically uber.
Before you take out invisaligns please read up on 'Finest Dental'.
Also try and call Invisalign or even email them and see of you can get a direct response.
They are a ghost/shell company and I am truly shocked they have been allowed to even operate in the UK. Disgraceful.
OMG! Wish I read these reviews before I went with Invisaline!
If you google, they only show raving reviews, but I know they do not reflect the real scenario now.
On my 7th set of aligners at the moment:
2nd set did not fit,
ordered me a new one, came a week late:
4th set was so sharp, I cut my finger on it trying to take it out!
6th and 7th sets broke in half!
Each set is so sharp that by the end of the day my tong is very sore. Advise from the dentist - file with a nail file. They clearly didn't try it themselves! Pay £4K and spend hours filing them down!
Complaint to my dentist with no success.
Message Invisalign on instaaram - all questions to your doctor, sorry, but thanks for the feedback.
Really concerned about the end result and will be considering moving to train tracks option now.
Thank you to everyone who took time to leave the reviews.
If I could leave a 0 star review I would! I had invisalign and spent £3000 on them. Even once my course was completed my teeth were not completely straight, they also made all of my teeth wobbly. You'd be better off getting 'train track' braces fitted for the same price/cheaper but with better results! I'm now £3000 down and my teeth are wonkier than before I had the treatment. DO NOT BUY!
