Definitely Recommended!
Have bought from the distillery on several occasions. Can recommend the gin…and so can several other people I’ve bought it for!
Have bought the rum as a present, and it hasn’t been given yet. But I anticipate it will be of the same high standard as the gin!

Barra is a really good classic dry gin
Barra is a really good classic dry gin. It is clean and fresh with this seaweed/salty tang and refreshing. It’s now our ‘house’ gin and visitors like it. It’s not for those who prefer sweeter/fruit styles

Irritating sales and marketing ploys on excellent products.
Whilst their products are excellent Barra continue to frustrate me with their approach to sales. As a 'loyal' supporter and whisky club member I receive early offers and have ordered as a result. However, later, other offers appear being either further cost reductions or free postage, all of which would have been a saving to me. They also had a 'limited edition' gin which I immediately bought only to find that the bottles are not marked and that it was more of a marketing ploy than anything. I appreciate that 'further reductions' take place at times but they are unbelievably irritating.

One of the best
It is a pleasure to order from The Isle of Barra Distillers. Their Atlantic gin is very nice indeed, even served with cheap supermarket tonic! I also enjoyed their Island Dark Rum too, even though it’s not my spirit of choice. The prices are comparable with other island gins and there are great special offers and discounts throughout the year. You get a nice feeling about this family business and their communication is really good via their lovely newsletter. It gives the impression that they care about the island, their products and their customers. Great service.

My favourite gin
My favourite gin, sitting on a rock in Earsary on Barra 11.30pm in the dusk over looking the ocean , could taste the flavours in the gin in the sea air. Just ordered my 2nd case . Pefect with a lime and a must is 1 very large ice cube, so it does not melt and dilute the gin

Love Barra Love the Gin
Since visiting Barra in 2017 we have been buying Barra gin, most recently buying their Gold Cave cask - aged gin. We enjoy Barra Gin with a slice of lime usually but with the latest buy we had with ice and tonic. Customer service is great and deliveries are quick.
