Had a roast chicken sandwich today and well there was one piece of chicken disgusting for the money...do have a photo but cant add it

2 days ago I purchased a 'Jamie Oliver Sausage and Egg' hot breakfast sandwich thinking it would be a nice start to my morning. Let me tell you... it was not!

Adjectives that could describe this sandwich are as follows:- Soggy, Sloppy, Overripe, Putrid and worst of all sphincter destroying.

2 Hours after consumption - Crippling stomach pains start, every 30 minutes after that I have contractions that have left me with a great respect for any woman who have been through the early processes of child birth.

4 Hours after consumption (and 48 hours thereafter) - The annihilation of the sphincter begins. Every 15 minutes for two days was either spent glued to the toilet with tears streaming down my face as it felt like vats of acid were exploding underneath me or tentatively applying sudocrem in the shower a broken man.

48 Hours after consumption - I'm sat on a bag of frozen peas at my desk absolutely livid that the man who stole turkey twisters and chicken nuggets from my childhood thought it okay to endorse this monstrosity of a sandwich.

49 Hours after consumption - I now realize that after years of trying various weight loss products I have never succeeded in shedding any of that pesky post holiday weight. Well ladies and gentleman, look no further than the miraculous fart tasting sandwich that made me shed a stone in two days.

I visit shell at least 4 times a week for there meal deals. Since jamie ol9ver has had his hands on everything it's disgusting. Cheese and bacon turn over has some salsa in it. There amazing chicken and stuffing sandwich taste horrible. Not sure why alot of things have olives in them go back to the other deli company. It was alot better

The food is all tasteless gritty and bland 🤢

just had a sandwich at shell must say was best sandwich i ever had at a gas station... little pricet meal deal 4.99 with crisp but sandwich was so good i will come back again atleast twice a week for it

Hadn’t tried Jamie Oliver’s sandwiches via Shell Service Stations until yesterday.
I’d expected one of two outcomes - either Jamie Oliver had introduced great sandwiches to motorway service stations, or Shell had bunged Jamie Oliver a couple of mil to stick his name on the usual pre-packed crud. Unfortunately it’s the latter.
As bad as any service station sandwich I’ve had. Tasteless, overpriced cardboard rubbish.

Cooking time way out. Have tried some of Olivers' recipes in the past and don't know why I tried again this evening. The "Perfect Roast Beef" stated cooking time of 1 hour (1.5kg). I did just this but with only 1.3kg and it was nowhere near cooked. I have put it in again for another 30 minutes and my thermometer now tells me it has JUST reached 'rare beef' temperature. (There does not seem to be a way of leaving a comment on his website; I tried and got "error 414" if I remember correctly, but I was in a bad temper!)

I've had three different flavours from the Jamie Oliver sandwich range at Shell and all have been vile! The latest today was the Christmas turkey and stuffing 3 pack. One bite and it tasted so disgusting that I binned them straight away. The taste left in my mouth was a cross between sick and a citrus fruit. I think they have tried to pimp up the cranberry sauce but believe me it didn't work! The turkey was also grisly. What a waste of money. The other two types of flavours I previously tried were just as horrifying. Its a shame a good traditional sandwich has been butchered like this. Won't be buying anymore.

I recently purchased a chicken and sage and onion stuffing sandwich from the Jamie Oliver range. I bit into a medium sized piece of chicken bone which immediately put me off.
The sandwich actually had no flavour and was rather boring and for over £3 very disappointing.
I did not even finish the first sandwich.
I love Jamie Oliver food and all the recipes I have followed have never tasted flavourless. I think this is a disappointment but not true to Jamie Oliver food and his normal standards.
I will not buy from that range again.

Soggy bread, soggy gherkins & far, far too much mustard - altogether yukky!

Had the flat bread with bacon mustard and mayo. I was very impressed with the ability to make all the ingredients flavourless. Thats quite hard to do. Combining this tasteless trio with papier mache pretending to be flat bread was a true master stroke. I would have thought that Jamie Oliver might have tried to make the selling of his soul to shell at least taste "okay" but it was actually sub par by garage food standards

Dude... sort it out.. sausage and egg roll from shell and I'm nearly puking up after chewing on that hard boiled egg that tastes rancid.

We bought some food today from your shell garage in Broadstone, Dorset today. We bought a sausage roll, a hog roast roll and a bacon and cheese turn over today for lunch, I took one bite into the sausage roll and spat it out, it was FULL of onions, like stringy onions, my partner found it funny and then bit into his hog roast roll, which was also full or onions , I'm not joking, we would say they were both at least 50% full of stringy long onions. They were disgusting. We dont mind onions, you expect it in most things, but these were full and thats all you could taste. I just went to pick our children up from school in our car and it still stinks of onions even though we only had one bite, the kids got in and said what is that smell?? Its gross, but our breath tastes like we've bitten into a raw onion, is all the jamie oliver food like this? We threw them in the bin and then a couple of hours later we had to change the bin bag cos we were like....what in the world is that smell? We thought the dog had blown off or something, turns out It was the food in the bin! 🤢

Just tried the three cheese-coleslaw with apple and spring onion sandwich today, have to say it was bland and tasteless and a waste of money. Weird choice of apples in a sandwich.. This guy seems to make it up as he goes along putting in whatever ingredients he thinks we will buy into... Never again!

Just bought a Jamie Oliver Deli by Shell Cheese Ploughman’s Sandwich as as far as prepaid sandwiches go I thought it was very good! It was fresh and tasty! It always puzzles me how you can take basics ingredients and make a sandwich taste so awful but this was not the case with Jamie’s sandwich. Also had the houmous with carrot sticks which was tasty.

Just watched j oliver 30 minute meals, again he demonstrated total ineptitude. He said “ 10 years ago nobody knew what rocket was” ! What is he talking about. Why does he think the obvious is so unknown to educated people, he is the one who lacks education, i seem to remember his use of the word “pukka” thinking it was his, after it had been used for more than a hundred years.
What he should do is return the money he took from his failed business to repay all the people who lost by trading or working with him.

Only went to Jamie Oliver in Manchester twice and Loved it. Delicious food and Excellent service from all the staff. We would definitely have become regulars. Gorgeous building as well. Gutted it has closed down

The sandwich I bought at Shell Garage was over priced and tastless. Three Cheese Coleslaw with Apple and Spring Oniom. The bread was ok but there was no trace of the apple or taste of spring onion and the mature cheese was bland

Jamie oliver shell garage food is shocking

It's over priced with hardly any filling !
Had a steak slice should be called puff pastry with gravy !!!!

£2.50 for nothing will not eat this or waste my money again !!!!

Gatwick North Terminal. We ordered Eggs Benedict. Food arrived cold, eggs overcooked, muffins like cardboard. Over £11 each for very poor food. I asked the staff for a feedback form rather than post here, staff uninterested, directed to look online!
