Happy campers
We have just had our first trip away in a converted Elgrand purchased from JCS. We're really pleased with the car so far and the conversion is ideal, everything works as it should and it is a lovely drive.
The chaps were really helpful and very patient with all our novice owner's questions and the 4 hours we spent on site looking at the numerous vehicles there!
The service we received was spot-on with every addition that we requested dealt with promptly. They had even replaced all 4 tyres and fitted new brake pads which were merely advisories on the MOT.
Absolute shambles of a company to deal…
Absolute shambles of a company to deal with from the experience I had. Having seen many good reviews me and my wife decided to head over to the yard to purchase a bongo to have some adventures with our young children.
What we ended up with was a nightmare.
Issue 1 the coolant leaked. They agreed to fix this, but I was advised to drive over to the yard about 25miles away from where I live in order to do so. So I did, and I broke down, 5 hours later and and RAC recovery tow truck and it made it to their yard. In fairness to them they fixed this issue.
But then about a week after picking it up it kept cutting out. So once again Over to their yard and the battery wasn’t connected properly, I’m by no means a mechanic but to me this is a fundamental part of a vehicle being sold to you as fit for purpose that everything is fitted correctly.
Anyway they sorted that and then about a week after that the van dies on my way to work. Another RAC call out and tow truck home and I’m told the turbo has gone.
Now this is where it really turns.
I ask for a refund on under consumer rights act. They say they’ll collect the van and repair it for me. I tell them to collect it, but I’ve no interest in it back I’d like the refund.
They then try telling me it ran out of diesel and threaten me with charges for the work, charges for holding the van etc. Luckily I stood my ground and refused to pay them a penny or collect the van.
Thankfully me and my wife used a credit card for this purchase so managed to reclaim the money through the credit card company as apparently the RAC aren’t deemed an independent assessment of the vehicle, so they managed to just plainly refuse a refund or accept any liability on their part.
The vans are old yes, and they come with problems. Anyone buying one knows that, but the way they handled and conducted themselves was nothing short of appalling. You may buy a perfectly good van from them, but be warned if it isn’t and you get a bad one, it’ll be you that’s stung because they will discard you like a piece of rubbish the minute you are a inconvenience to them.
And to the owners of JCS before you deny me ever buying a van, or someone who tried to fleece you, I have all your messages and emails screen shot and I’ll happily throw them in here for everyone to see how you behave 😊

Nissan Elgrand Campervan.
We bought our converted Nissan Elgrand from these guys a year ago, and were immediately impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. The vehicle was lovely and the conversion was clearly done by people who knew what they were doing. But what’s even better is the after sales service. Nothing is ever too much trouble, we always feel confident that we’re listened to and that whatever we need will be properly addressed. I don’t do many reviews, but credit where it’s due.
A 5* service. Highly recommended.
A 5* service I can highly recommend. The guys bent over backwards to convert a Toyota Hiace for us in a super quick time, with added specs to suit our needs including a full respraying. They are very friendly and thorough. We have enjoyed nearly 11 months of days and weekends away without any mechanical issues. Drives like a dream! (Yes, the yard is a bit scruffy, but that doesn't affect the vans or service JCS offer!). Thank you guys.
Our experience with JCS has been…
Our experience with JCS has been excellent with our purchase of a Toyota campervan conversion in June. They are knowledgeable about their products and go out of their way to answer any question with no pressure to buy. We are very happy with our van and have recommended JCS to numerous friends.
JCS guys were brilliant
JCS guys were brilliant, they took the time to listen and understand my requirements, then shown me my new van. They even ran around taking measurements and comparing vans to ensure it was right for me. Took me out so I could drive it first, never any pressure for the sale, just open and honest chat all the way through. Then dealt with Dave regarding the sale. Totally brilliant again, with no pressure or feeding us rubbish. Gave me a great trade in deal with cash for the van. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys, no shady sales techniques or pressure at all. First time i was buying a van and was dreading it if i'm honest, but these guys blew me away with how easy it all was. No stress, no pressure, no worries.Brilliant experience from start to finish. Loving my new van from them, its a belter. Will be using these again if I ever need another van, and will certainly be recommending these guys to anyone looking for a van. Brilliant

Avoid this company
Avoid this company! These people have been a nightmare to deal with from start to finish - first off they happily took my money and then failed to have the van ready for collection. We rearranged getting somebody to collect it. They yet again didn’t have it ready. They said they would deliver it. Then they rearranged that on the day. Then they turned up nine hours late.
Six weeks later we are happily holidaying in Cornwall - and then the exhaust falls off while we’re going round a roundabout. Apparently we shouldn’t have been upset as “sometimes these things look worse than they are”. Due to conflicting information from mechanics I decided to pay for an independent inspection of the van - at which point the inspector presented me with a list of faults that had arrived with the van. It turned out that the supposedly reputable dealership had failed to carry out an appropriate pre delivery inspection (despite the delays in delivery) and had sold it without checking it was roadworthy. But according to them we should expect these “niggles” in a van of this age. Rather than expecting them to carry out their legally required due diligence on the vehicles they are supplying.
After I presented them with this report (and threatened legal action) they finally agreed to collect the van and carry out the repairs as detailed on the report. This included a leak on the coolant reservoir. After collecting the (apparently) repaired van we got it home to find that the coolant leak had not been repaired and the reservoir was yet again dry. We contacted JCS immediately who told us to top it up with water and return it to them. We are now stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, waiting for them to collect the van, as it (unsurprisingly) overheated whilst we were driving.
We have been insulted (they accused us of trying to extort money from them after they phoned to offer my partner money to remove his initial review, which only dealt with delivery debacle), ignored (we repeatedly had to chase for replies to messages and emails), and just generally treated like chumps by this ‘family business’ and am now on the verge of legal action.
No. After agreeing to come and collect the van they then changed their mind because I left this review, and instead left us on the side of the road knowing that we had children to collect from school in Cardiff. Because apparently the best response to a poor review is to then be even worse……

We bought a Mazda Bongo from these guys in January 2021 and we have been very pleased. So far it is running great with no problems. Very helpful guys!
Highly recommended
Highly recommended, we bought a Nissan Elgrand converted camper and are really happy with it. Friendly, genuine guys and they do the conversions themselves. The after sales service has been great, helping us with some additional work and clever solutions to tailor the van for for our needs.
Japanese import specialists with good customer service
JCS (SW) are Japanese import specialists who look after their customers. I recently bought a Mazda Bongo and I am so happy with it that I am ditching my car to use it as my main vehicle.
JCS pride themselves as offering after care as well as listening to their customers needs and can fit and refit to your own particular spec. Mine was already kitted out with their high quality refit and new tyres but I returned to fix a back screen wiper and upgrade the radio and they did this while I waited.
They are dealers who really understand the vehicles they sell. Highly recommended.
Good value, knowledgeable and friendly service
We bought a Toyota HiAce conversion from Jcssw and have been impressed by all the staff...so friendly and helpful, with detailed information and advice offered along the way to help us make decisions about the best vehicle to meet our needs. They have been patient and responsive with all our requests and questions by text and phone call and arranged all matters within the timeframe they gave us. We thoroughly recommend them and will take our van back to them for any additional work we may decide to have done. We feel we were really 'looked after' and that there was a genuine desire to offer good value, honest and straightforward service.
These guys are great!
These guys are great! Family run with passion for campervans especially Japanese imports (Mazda Bongos). Good price, helpful service plus options for loads of extras - who could ask for more? Want a great Bongo? - then don't be slow, JCS is definitely the place to go!!

I bought a Toyota Hiace from JCSsw and after a couple of of minor issues that they quickly dealt with I am very happy with it. They have also replaced the absorption fridge that was originally installed to a much better compressor type including freezer compartment free of charge. The guys there have been very friendly and have given good advice for future addons, such as solar panels and blown air heater. I would recommend them.
Happy Bongo Customer
Bought a Mazda Bongo from JCS in July. So far so good - very straightforward to deal with, van running well, and have been helpful with the couple of small queries we've had since. All very positive.

We bought camper van last year
We bought camper van last year, one thing that impressed most was no pressure to purchase.
After our first year of owning our camper returned to the branch after the brakes failed it MOT, the staff remember me and booked our van in to have the brakes replaced.
The staff at JCSSW were friendly, when we asked for the bill, I was told, its free of charge.
True to their word when buying my van when the manger said, we will look after you well after your guarantee expires.
As a couple my wife and I cannot recommend this company enough.
