Very happy with Elgrand with JCS conversion
I bought a Nissan Elgrand from JCS and am really happy with it. They are a friendly bunch of guys and were very accommodating with my many requests. I have ended up with a van that has a brand new conversion inside, which was professionally built.

I am in the process of buying my second camper from the lads at jcs. I bought a bongo from them last year which had set me off on the road as a happy camper. I live locally and they have been brilliant in checking things over for me before a long trip. I have found them to be extremely helpful and have bent over backwards to help me. Now I am used to driving something bigger than a smart car!! They are converting a Toyota for me to my specifications, so that I have a little more room, and the all important chemical toilet. I disagree that there conversions won’t get a habitation certificate, I know that this is not the case! Yes there premises might put you off a little at first, but the service is first class. There prices are very competitive and maybe they can achieve this by not having fancy premises. Looking forward to getting my new van next week. Thanks Lads.
JCS SW Campervan Conversions
My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and get ourselves a campervan. We reviewed a long list of personal ads and showrooms before we came across the JCS boys; A little hidden gem of a company that I had not heard of, on the edge of Bristol. I'm now glad I took the time to look around as these guys have outdone themselves.
Their 'showroom' is at the back of a lumber yard and at first glance it may look like a scrap yard, but dont let that put you off. Really.
We went down to have a look at Bongos but they had just sold the last two (there were two other couples there when we arrived), so Dave showed us a Toyota Regius tucked away at the back.
Im quite high maintenance with this sort of thing as we dont have the money to waste, so wanted our first van to be perfect. Hence us having numerous questions and possible requests. The guys were patient, professional.... and most importantly they bent over backward to accommodate.
Not once did we feel pressured or pushed; the boys let us take our time and move at our own speed. That made a great impact.
Within 14 days they had fully converted the Regius with a brand new side conversion; bed, table, hob, fridge and sink. The build quality is fantastic and the added touches of leisure battery for the lights and usb charging points are a winning move.
With the 3 month warrenty on the engine, plus 12 month warrenty on conversion, we headed off for a 5 day tour of Dorset with confidence; I'm writing this on the beach after a very comfortable drive down.
All in all these guys are a great group of hard working lads that deliver exactly as they promise. I highly recommend them.
High quality campervans
We bought a Toyota Regius from JCS a couple of years ago and we absolutely love it! We asked for a custom conversion and were quite fussy about specific details such as; seat and kitchen colours, electronics and good use of space for storage. JCS met all of our requirements to a very high standard and went above and beyond to ensure we had exactly what we asked for. Staff were friendly, polite and couldn't do enough to help us. They were also really knowledgeable and recommended that we get an LPG dual fuel conversion to save on fuel costs, which we agreed to. This was definitely the best choice, as we've driven miles around France and the UK in it and have saved loads on fuel.
Don't be put off by the unkempt look of the yard which serves as the workshops and sales office. This company knows their stuff and invests its time and energy into helping to keep customers happy, as well as making excellent quality campervans and motorhomes... well worth a visit!
This is a new venture for us
This is a new venture for us. We have no reason to not be satisfied with the service they have offered. They have been polite, helpful and responsive to our questions. Looking forward to being on the road.
Please listen to the poor reviews
Please listen to the poor reviews. The service is ok from this supplier at first but they do not have the ability to resolve any mechanical issues. The build quality is amateurish at best which and will not get you a habitation certificate. The parts they use are the cheapest which resulted in the pop up roof buckling on the 3rd time of use. After months of trying to resolve the issues with the van with them I have had to cut my losses and look for a local person to help me. I only wish I had believed the poor reviews and looked elsewhere. Please don’t make the same mistake as me.
Beware of this company
Beware of this company.
all set to buy a vechicle and was ready to go after lots of communication.
3 hour drive to Bristol all arranged . Went to check on ebay and they had sold it. No communication or apology .
Mazda Bongo
Bought our new Bongo from here 2 weeks ago and the service has been amazing! There were things that I wanted changing which they did for me and when I had had a couple of teething problems (not their fault!) like the air con belt snapping and the fridge only working when the van is plugged in and they went out their way to resolve them and sort me out a fridge that can run off the leisure battery. I popped in yesterday and every single member of staff helped me out, going above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my new van and answering all my questions. Don’t be put off by the fact it’s not a glossy showroom, these guys know their stuff, won’t pressurise to buy and they don’t charge way over the odds like some dealerships. I would highly recommend.
Delighted
Purchased our Mazda Bongo from these guys yesterday. The service we received was excellent, they simply could not have been more helpful. The vehicle was cleaned, prepared and ready for collection bag on time and our new adventure begins!! Thanks JCS SW Ltd
Fantastic van, great quality conversion
I bought my Mazda Bongo in December 2018 and had it converted to my own specification - Mudasar couldn't have been more helpful and informative and I was really happy with my purchase. The company they used back then to convert to a pop up roof covered over the original aerial mount and didn't replace it - the team at JCS ordered a new aerial and fitted it for me at no extra cost.
At the beginning of this year (2020) I decided that I needed to rethink my camper conversion as the existing one wasn't working for me anymore so I designed my own cupboard units. I popped down to see JCS as I didn't want anyone else to do the work - they know how the old conversion was fixed in and the standard of work is excellent. They agreed to take the project on and when I collected my van two weeks later my jaw hit the floor! Not only had they done exactly what I asked they also replaced the electrics, hob and sink and water pump and added a voltmeter/USB charging point connected to my leisure battery. I am really happy with the service I've received from Mudasar and the team, my Bongo has sailed through every MOT since ownership and is reliable, comfortable to drive and is a treasured member of my family.

I was looking for an Elgrand to have a bespoke conversion done on site by Jcss, having found them on eBay.
Although the yard was underwhelming I was Very impressed with their knowledge, non pressurised sales and willingness to go the extra mile for me.
I would certainly be happy to recommend them to my friends.
Excellent customer service many thanks
Japanese import campervan
I purchased a Japanese import campervan from JCS SW last week (August 2019). I was a bit cautious at first as the vehicles are situated at the back of a builders yard with no business signs etc. I checked all the paperwork of the vehicle I was interested in and had a good look over the vehicle. It's all matched up and was in good condition. Anything that I wished to be changed they did for me over the weekend to bring the vehicle up the standard I wanted.
I would highly recommend visiting these guys to have a look at their stock.
I would be very cautious
They clearly have a lot of stock and you might hope that there could be some gems amongst them.
In my experience many of those advertised as fresh imports have clearly been sitting in one place for long enough for the weeds growing around the tyres to be undisturbed. I've also seen many of their 'fresh import' items listed repeatedly for many months. The van which we chose to test drive smoked worse than a steam train and wouldn't go over 40mph despite its relatively low mileage. The salesman's explanation for the problems were not credible.
Another van I looked at, which was being sold privately, had been purchased from JCSSW by the owner. Having read some of the reviews of JCSSW I thought it worth carrying out more investigations. I discovered that the Japanese auction records mention that it had been significantly accident damaged and repaired in Japan. This was declared on the auction document. It's not to say that the van had not been competently repaired but the current owner had not been given any history or copies of the import docs by JCSSW and so was unaware of this fact. None of the vehicles I enquired about at JCSSW were offered with any history.
Caveat Emptor!
Clocked Mileages
I bought a Japanese Motorhome (Toyota Champ) from JCS(SW) Ltd. I was later contacted by Bristol Trading Standards asking if I would be a witness in court. It turned out the van had been clocked, along with many others, and was showing 75,000 miles instead of 275,000 miles. The owner was prosecuted and you can find details of the case on the web.
This probably explains why it wobbled all over the road.
