They charged twice for one order: some weird amount and then the correct one. Item returned. Placed another order but it just disappeared.
Lack of empathy and information from customer services
My mum has asked me to add this review.
My mum has been with jd williams now for near 5 years, never had any issues, order came and she paid without missing and more than minimum payment, shes then gone and placed an order today, but she said it didnt look right and her credit on the account remained the same but usually after a purchase it is deducted.
When i arrived at my mums, she showed me the conversation she had with 3 different customer service who all couldnt tell her why her order is on hold and under the review team. She went through security checks when in conversation with customer service, but again couldnt tell. Her since then I've then spoken to them on her behalf, she cane them permission for me to discuss it. Apparently they need to some security checks which my mum did on a number of occasions today when logging in and being sent one of codes. So we're a little confused. Surely they could tell me mum the reason. She's worried now and thinking all sorts. She's a lovely mum who wont do harm by anyone. She pays everything on time and if in doubt I step in. So yes were very frustrated by this and the lack of help and communication from customer services
This is the worst customer service ever
This is posisbly the worst customer service I have ever received from a company. I spent a lot of money on garden furniture, and only received half of it (twice!). I am still awaiting the delivery of the second half or a refund, nearly three weeks later. The staff on the phone have been rude to me, and the second line support team have been either unresponsive or unhelpful via email. Everytime you contact them, you need to wait three working days for a response, which seems like a ridiculous amount of time. You cant talk to them on the phone, and there is nobody higher up to speak to. I also am awaiting a response 5 working days later from their last email. Really disappointed, and won't be using them again.

Ordered a table and chairs on the 8th May, still no sign of it, although it was supposed to be in stock and delivered within 5 days. 3 non-deliveries. Even had to cancel plans to go out. Avoid.

Ordered an AVA P60 Master Bundle pressure washer and they decided to use EVRI as a shipping method - rather predictably it arrived destroyed…
After agreeing upon a refund that would be sent after returning the pressure washer, they now have not even bothered to send out the £289 I am owed and entitled to. TERRIBLE and INCOMPETENT company.
Not to mention the hours of wasted time on live chats to try and resolve this issue if I don’t get what I’m entitled to back it’ll be small claims court that’s how little faith I have

Beware when you have received your order & then your statement is sent. For the past two months have paid bill through banking app taken from my account which bank have cleared then does not show up on next bill & you get a £15 late payment fee. You can not talk to nobody properly as customer service is in South Africa & they don’t understand what’s happening. I am really disappointed with JD Williams and the customer service around payment arrangements and the producing of statements and dates. I have queried if statements can be produced at the end or beginning of a month however I am told no. Is this so that more late fees can be added for those of us whom are unable to pay until the last day of the month. I will be paying my statement off in full and no longer be a customer however you have millions so like other companies you won’t care. Customers beware that’s all

Worst shopping site known to human kind. Refunds take longer than space travel. I could have lived my whole life and claimed pension before they gave my money back. Are they waiting for inflation to destroy my money before sending it back to me? Furthermore, they just randomly cancel your order for no reason like 2 days later. Absolute shambles.

Avoid
Sent me someone else’s order (a QVC order) which included a packing slips with another customers address, membership number etc. when I called they said they don’t send replacements and that I would have to reorder. They suggested they would refund only after incorrect item was collected, however after insisting they agreed to refund same day. First time ordering, terrible experience and a casual GDPR breach. Avoid!
Update: It’s been 3 days since I was told I would receive confirmation that my refund has been processed, I have not received anything. I chased yesterday and was told it would be processed then (so it wasn’t processed Wednesday like I was originally told!). I was also told I’d receive an email confirming it had been done. It’s the next day, no email. I will chase again tomorrow. I’ve had no reply to my email chase. And no update on this being escalated to management. This company is a joke.
Finally update - finally fully refunded a week later. They originally only refunded half of my order. I had to call again this week to chase the rest of the refund and had the rudest advisor. You have to chase them religiously! Be relentless if you have an issue.

Stocked item ironically is not in stock once they take my money, so my order was cancelled, now i must contact my bank to get my funds back, the live chat was like talking to AI, absolutely ridiculous.

Shocking company, ordered an item 4 days ago, went to track it as due tomorrow and it’s been cancelled due to no stock although they were still available to buy yesterday evening. No notification and now told two weeks for a refund!

Absolutely disgusted with my latest experience. I ordered a mattress on the 1st May and was told delivery would be through arrow XL. They finally messaged me with delivery day options so I opted for the 21st May. While at work on the 19th I get a call from the delivery driver saying he would be at my home in 45 mins - I told him I wasn’t home and had organised delivery for the 21st. They resent me a delivery slot and the earliest they would rearrange for was today 26th May. I received the delivery text last night confirming delivery for the 26th so had a company come and collect my old mattress first thing this morning ready. Once it got to half past 6 I rang JD Williams to see where my mattress was to be told it was damaged on the 19th and the order was cancelled on the 20th without notice. I would love to know why I received a confirmation text message last? So this now leaves me with no mattress until they resend it out which could be delivered up to the 11th June?! And of course no managers available to speak to. Absolutely disgusting, avoid at all costs!!!

Access Denied !
I've been a customer of JD Williams for decades, I recently attempted to log into my account and was met with an "Access Denied" page. I called customer service line to investigate, I was dismissed by an overseas call centre agent who informed me that my account had been permanently closed due to a period of inactivity. My account was deactivated without any prior notice, warning, or communication from JD Williams. Because of how this closure has been processed on their servers, they have blacklisted my home internet connection. I am completely locked out of accessing their website! I have emailed them with a formal complaint!
