Jottacloud has all the features i needed. A sync folder, ability to backup and sync specific drives including external and also an archive functionality for files that are to be in the cloud only. I spent a long time trying to find an alternative to google and luckily came across this product. Its subscription is also great value. Upload and download speeds are fast.

I was looking for a European alternative to Google Photos and, after extensive testing of various cloud providers, I ended up with Jottacloud.
Their apps are very clear and user-friendly. They offer the functionality I mainly used in Google Photos. (I also don’t expect a relatively small player to offer the same level of functionality as a big player like Google.)
The speed of the platform is very good and their support has been excellent so far.
It’s also convenient that I can create a folder in my windows file explorer to sync files.
There are still a few small UI optimizations possible here and there, but I have no doubt that this will become a top product in the long run.

I've been a subscriber for a number of years now and have never regretted the move from other offerings. Key points are: easy navigation, setup and management. All the things you need in a set and use environment.

I am very happy with Jottacloud. The only thing I could have wished for is to be able to create a virtual hard drive with a drive letter for the "archive" section. So that I wouldn't have to use up hard drive space, like in the synchronization folder. Apart from that, very good service, good support. can be recommended :) PS! it may be that they have such a solution as mentioned above, and that I just don't know how.

Great cloud storage service. Been using it for over 5 years.

Good price for ilimited storage, comparing with other clouds. The only downside is that I surpassed 5TB a while ago, and upload speed gradually reduced after 5TB, and it drops significantly (if it reduced less, it would be perfect, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5). Since I have backups of everything, I can't delete anything to reduce space, so I'm stuck with the reduced speed forever. They do offer maximum-speed alternatives, but those are considerably more expensive. However, the unlimited storage is the best feature (I don't upload much, but it gradually fills up; it's the only unlimited, high-quality cloud service I've found at this price, and I'll stick with it). Otherwise, download and upload speeds were good (before reaching 5TB). And the Android app works well to download but the upload It would be better to have a list of uploading files, for example, because I only see a blue line, and sometimes I can't tell if it's uploading correctly or if it's stuck. The synced folder works fine, as does the Windows app.

Very solid and reliable cloud. Big reason for the missing star is the fact that "unlimited storage" gets TOO slow TOO fast.

Terrible service so far. Android apps are not syncing correctly. Had to open the app from time to time. It's a pain in the ass. The web version is also the same. Can't upload in bulk. I already used Google Photos and Yandex Disk. This one is the worst service I've seen so far. I'll try another couple of days; if it's also the same, I'll give up on this.

I've used their unlimited service for a few years but then ended up canceling it because they raised their prices. I didn't think it was worth it for me because I wasn't even really using that much storage, just a limited few hundreds of GBs. Their service, while working well including a CLI tool for advanced usage, is quite basic so adding to my conclusion that it's not worth the money anymore. I've decided to go PAYG with s3 storage and I'm now paying less than 1 USD per month and have many more features available to me since it's a software standard that's supported by many clients.

They sell Unlimted* storage. After 5TB they reduce the speed to almost 0 and it becomes useless. This is a useless unlimited. They do not provide apps for NAS drives

As a response to Jottaclouds support: The speed reduction is stated i article 3271114 (Google it)
I do consider this reduction as almost 0*. Just as Jottacloud use the word Unlimited*

A colleague once recommended Jottacloud (JC). It's independent, reliable, well-secured, and works well. I can easily access my files anytime, anywhere, and JC has a good search engine. It backs up multiple devices. I've never had any problems, so I'm very satisfied with Jottacloud.

Pricing, available space! The Android app works as it should, making a backup of all taken images.

I would love a GUI client for Linux.
Recipes for running the cli on immutable Linux distros, especially making sure Jottacli can access everything in the file system.
In photo albums, I want support for subfolders so I can have a My Vacation album with subfolders for specific days or trips.

Changed to another PC and errors on original harddrive. Attempted to download backed up files. Almost impossible. Downloaded huge zip files with breakdown of downloads as result. Had to download in pieces. Basically did not work. Downloaded only what was lost on hrddrive. The restore function did not work at all. Very disappointing as this is the reason Im having the online storage in the first place. I also sent a message but received no response.
