Great staff..rubbish food

Sidney, the one doing the barbecue was so kind towards the customers and his barbecue was DELICIOUS!!!! i’d like to give him a 10/10!

I have been here 3 times in the last 6 months. Somehow each one progressively worse. The first time I went and food was okay, nothing to rave about but seemed fresh and warm. Staff always seem miserable and unhappy. Staff member dropped a glass and it shattered and went all over our table. The waiter quickly took our plates away and apologised and told us to go get fresh food in case. Not a fan of how my steak was cooked so close to someone else's scallops. Not the flavouring I want. 2nd time I went back and again food was adequate. However the drinks machine stopped working. From reading other reviews this unfortunately does not seem uncommon. No refund for paying extra for the refillable drinks just to be left with water. We also both had bad stomachs that evening. Went again for a third time tonight. Long story short I don't think I will be attending again. Limited food out that did not get restocked while we were there. All the food was cold and chips overcooked. I took one bite of the sweet and sour chicken which I liked on previous occasions and it didn't taste right so didn't eat it. Cutlery was dirty. Food clearly sat out for hours. Again had a bad stomach and is expensive for what it is. Have heard from some people who worked there when it was Cosmos and they said the hygiene was appalling and that they used to keep raw food in bin bags and buckets all around the kitchen as they went through so much food. Hoping this had changed since it was shut down and opened up as JRC. Such a shame as not many buffets around any more.

Wembley Branch. I would give zero stars if it was an option. I have been to the Ilford, Wood Green and Watford branches and they were all okay. Our experience at Wembley was shocking. There was very little selection. All the food was old and tired and not very appetising. The cakes were stale and looked like they had been left out all night. My Wife and I have both felt ill and bloated all week after eating at your establishment. It was the worst experience in a restaurant we have ever had.

Terrible! Went their for a day out for kids who have to be supervised 24/7. Was told that the 13 year old who should we be £12 had to be £24 because she was over a certain height, ridiculous ! Two of us didn’t want to eat or drink anything , but had to be their to supervise , when we were then told that we had to still pay to get in even when we repeatedly said we weren’t going to be eating. The staff their started to get rude and we’re talking about the group of us also in a rude way. One of the staff members had then said to leave the children on their own when their 5 to 13 years old which is out of order ! I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all do not waste your time or money on this place!!

I went here for a colleague’s retirement do.
The lady that took our payment hardly spoke to anyone, there was at least 30 of us paying the £24 for food, but no friendly customer service.
I found some of the food nice but most was cold. The cake I picked for dessert was frozen.
The bar never had any Gin glasses and tried to encourage us to buy doubles!
The toilets were so dark.
All in all I would never eat in this place again.

I had to give a star but the worse food I've ever had. Everything was COLD and many empty food selections. No fresh/chef serving stands like pasta, tandoor or grill areas. It was a Saturday evening too. Awful awful experience. Almost £30 per adult including drinks but an absolute waste of money. I will be making a complaint on this further.

Absolutely shocking. I had issues on arriving after making a reservation, we stood at the desk with the lady for about 30 minutes if not more. 9/10's of the food was undercooked (I am ill now), there was kids walking around licking and grabbing whatever they like then putting it back. Had to clean the plates myself... And was told after 40 minutes (roughly) of eating that we "had 20 minutes to hurry up and eat or we will get kicked out" absolutely shocking and the fact that I paid for this is ridiculous. Never trying another buffet let alone going near another JRC ever. Would highly recommend eating off the floor than trying this place. Save your time money and health.

We visited last night and it was horrible experience , The food was not fresh and the taste was not pleasant . never recommend and never visit .

I wouldn’t even want to give 1 star. It was a horrible experience visiting this restaurant in Wembley. The food quality was sub standard and none of the items were hot. It felt like some food was kept stale and even the desserts weren’t great. I wouldn’t recommend spending money to eat at a place like this where food quality isn’t a priority

Used to always recommend, was excellent. since lock down, the food did not taste fresh, Prices have gone up, Food is more like Iceland fried with less variety, the rost duch was like it was made last week.
bring back the old chef as food is tastless no longer value for money !!! Sorry used to be one of my best dining restaurant

This place appears to typify why checking out reviews BEFORE being disappointed, is a good idea. Although there are very positive reviews, the highly descriptive and worryingly numerous negative ones, often complete with corroborative imagery, outweigh them. Therefore, I will not be visiting the Cardiff site anytime soon. It would seem the place started well a few years ago and has since seen a dramatic decline in quality and quantity, particularly since changing hands recently. Such a shame these places seem to 'whither on the vine' west of the Severn Estuary. I will keep tabs on the reviews and perhaps a stark improvement might prompt a rethink. Floors had better not be sticky though and dirty toilets are a red flag anywhere. I have written this to let the owners know what is needed to attract customers like me, and also to save anyone researching the reviews for forty minutes, like I just have.

i would give it zero stars if i could, believe the bad reviews because they are true. Dont play russian roulette with your health, we did and got really bad food poisoning. its not worth it the food is disgusting anyway

My recent visit to JRC Global Buffet in Wood Green turned out to be a nightmarish experience, leaving my family and friends utterly appalled and disappointed. Having frequented this establishment for the past nine years, I never anticipated such a shocking encounter that has forced me to rethink ever setting foot inside its doors again.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, the ambiance was stifling. The air conditioner had been inexplicably turned off just 10-15 minutes after our arrival, transforming the live kitchen environment into an inhabitable, non-eatable inferno. It was clear that this was not just an oversight but a deliberate act. As we inquired about the heat and requested food, we were met with an astonishing display of arrogance and abusive behavior from the assistant manager.

The assistant manager's attitude towards us, as customers, was nothing short of disgraceful. He displayed a complete lack of professionalism, hurling insults and racial abuse at our party. Even as the staff attempted to intervene and control his behavior, he persisted with his tirade of humiliation.

One of the most distressing incidents was when he refused us food items well before the restaurant's scheduled closing time, subjecting us to unwarranted humiliation in front of our children. His assertion that we should have bought the restaurant by paying for just one buffet was not only offensive but also absurd.

The nadir of the evening occurred when, in the midst of his abusive rant, the assistant manager nearly collided with me while I was carrying food to our table. Shockingly, he did not even bother to offer a simple apology for his carelessness.

As someone who has patronized JRC Global Buffet for almost a decade, this visit was not only an enormous letdown but also an experience that almost led us to call the authorities. It is a shame that what was once a reliable and enjoyable dining spot has now deteriorated to such an extent. I sincerely hope that management takes swift action to address the appalling behavior and practices we encountered on that unfortunate evening.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise potential patrons to think twice before choosing JRC Global Buffet in Wood Green for their dining experience, as the appalling treatment we received tarnishes the reputation of what was once a favored establishment.

Steak chef was rude, food was awful. The pizza was OK. I tried a little of everything and was very disappointed. Complained to a member of staff and he walked away half way through. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PIT!!!!!!

I've been visiting JRC for several years and have recently noticed that several dishes that used to be available are no longer available but the final straw that broke the camels back is the price increase for less food dishes and the full price for taller children i will take my money to another establishment where I can get value for my money and can pay children prices separately voting with my feet and money

Should have asked for a refund as soon as we saw how the food was left out and handled,(having eaten at buffets before it was shocking to see) mass pots of mostly empty old warm food left under lighting. Unfortunately my son had the cold duck (guessing it was this) he ate 7pm by 3am he was violently being sick. Pots mostly empty not kept at a reasonable temperature at all. I had stomach ache all night and was on and off toilet feeling like i may need to use it.
Quite expensive, expected food hygiene to at least be followed but was not, staff looked lost when handling food …. AVOID.
He ate cold honey duck, margarita pizza chips and corn on cob, pot of ice cream and some profiteroles he also had a drink of coke

We went here for my partners 30th brithday for lunch we was greeted badly and there was no customer service
the food was cold and chewy the icecream was melted more like runny mess also the toilet lights didn’t work my kids had to use the toilet in the dark they were also disgusting dirty . I made a complaint to some one they said “one minute “ didn’t come back then as we left I asked to speak with the manger and was told he was off and left my number and no call so I emailed head office and they have ignored the situation as well I would strongly avoid this please definitely not worth the money all they want is your money then after that if there is a problem they don’t care

Absolutely disgusting we had table booked for 37 people, even tried to call through as traffic & because 6 people was on time, they decided to cancel the table & there customer service is rude, don't bother coming here they don't know how to treat customers, unfriendly & unhelpful
