Shortest time given before deleting site.

I think your waiting time should be increased, you cant simply delete someone's site just because they failed to renew their hosting with you, as long as the domain hasn't been transferred from your servers, why would you delete. Now i have to design the website again.
you should wait atleast 2 years, especially due to how the economy is these past two years. But my website was deleted just one year and yet my domain was still with you so i would have been expected to renew. but you guys just deleted, bad bad bad.

Thank you for taking some moment off your valuable time to rate and review our services. We sincerely appreciate it and can never take it for granted.

Whereas we would have loved to keep dormant/inactive accounts for two or more years as per your request or expectation, we find this a bit tricky for the following reasons:

1) cPanel, the hosting control panel we use on our Linux servers changed the billing model for their licenses. Unlike many years back, today cPanel bills based on the number of accounts existing on the server. Keeping tens of thousands of unsubscribed hosting accounts on our servers would only help to increase Jubilee Web Host's cPanel license costs when the company is not generating revenue from such accounts. Of course, the cPanel license is just a single example but there are other software licenses we use on these servers whose costs are dependent on the number of accounts on the servers. Not forgetting the strain that would be placed on the server resources like storage, RAM, computing power etc by these unsubscribed accounts. Therefore, leaving unsubscribed accounts on servers for two years would be a very bad business idea.

2) We are bound by industry standards and international, national and company-specific policies and best practices. It would for example be against international and national data retention policies for us to keep your data for two years without your consent. Of course, in this case, the consent would be in the form of a continuation of subscription or a request to us to extend your grace period. Otherwise, in the situation where you just keep quiet even after the several reminders we send, it becomes quite tricky.

In light of the above, we are sorry but we may not keep an unsubscribed hosting account account as per your request/expectation. We encourage you to always renew your subscription in time, and in the event that you are unable to renew in time, our sales and billing teams will always be glad to extend your grace period upon your request.
