Physical assault by staff in Brighton.

Avoid the Brighton Hotel at all costs....heavy-handed, knuckle-dragging neanderthal security guards that enjoy beating up paying female customers and think nothing of assaulting physically with unreasonable force.....in 2019 you don't expect to pay to stay in a hotel and leave covered in bruises... this place needs shutting down immediately.

stay away plenty of hotels to go to on Broad Street

Heating not working no instructions in room how to work heating system. Spent half hour 12:00-12:30am trying to call reception on ‘0’ no answer only 1 person on reception told them my problem they had no instructions printed off. No interest my reception no apology zero customer engagement or any interest in resolving my issue. For a city centre 15 floor hotel the management absolute disgrace. The lobby was being used by security staff for the clubs nearby to warm up inside. Look more like a delayed airport than Jurys Inn. What a waste of corporate expenses will never stay on JP Morgan business ever again. I have notified JP Morgan to stay clear of Jury Inn. I am not holding my breathe Jurys Inn will even follow up this apauling customer journey.

Swindon Jury's inn breakfast…

Swindon Jury's inn breakfast arrangement is atrocious. I understand they've got construction work going on, but their alternative arrangement of 4 tables doesn't seat more than a dozen. How is the rest of the hotel supposed to eat, standing?

Plymouth Jurys Inn

We booked well in advance for a one night stay in order to attend Plymouth University open day. After a 5 hour drive and the advert of parking availability, we arrived to find the whole area closed off with overnight road works. After driving around for ages we parked temporarily and walked to the hotel. Receptionist went through the motions but, as far as the parking problem was concerned, merely said that it was possible to get across the road works to the parking. No, it took a policeman who found us driving in a bus lane in dark, rainy weather, to guide us half way around the city centre to the parking. No prior warning from the hotel about the road closure, no contingency plan for tired travellers arriving and no interest at all from the receptionist.

Then tried to order room service dinner! Phone number didn't connect, so I phoned reception and was put through to the bar. Were told we couldn't order from the menu in our room, only from the room service menu which we didn't have! Were told to come down to the bar to order, as we were clearly trying to inconvenience them! So we took our room menu down but nobody was interested in us having the wrong menu. Then told that all we could have to eat at all at 10pm was a (bizarre and poor )choice of sandwiches or a pizza. Again the staff were totally disinterested and one girl was giggling away in front of people in the bar that someone had come up to her and asked questions but she didn't know the answers. She couldn't have cared less. We ended up walking around town looking for something to eat until we had to settle for a Dominoes pizza.

In summary - poor management, totally untrained and disinterested staff. Perhaps they should only employ foreign staff as the only professional person was a foreign lady at checkout. We will never book a Jury's Inn again.

Hinckley Island - booking made 4 months in advance but Jurys Inn sent us to another hotel

1 star because there's no "ZERO"
Absolutely fuming! Disgusted! Basically your booking doesn’t count with this lot! They do not honour it!
We booked our 4 night stay at this hotel on 20 May 2019, a full 4 months ago, as we wanted to give ourselves a small relaxing holiday while still doing some work on the fringes, especially that we were going to be at a conference at this hotel over the weekend. Check in starts at 2pm. They called us at 2:10pm, just less than half an hour prior to our arrival, to tell us that they’ve moved us to a hotel nearby just for 1 night. We couldn’t believe our ears!!! They didn’t consult us, no! Their reason was that they had a big group of National Grid people staying there & they couldn’t separate them, & that hotels always overbook, & that they had hoped someone might leave but nobody had!!!!!
I’m still in disbelief! So why couldn’t they move someone else who had booked after May? Why us? & why move a couple who have booked 4 nights rather than someone who might’ve booked 1 or 2 nights? What gives them the right to disrupt our holidays & business?
They offered us an upgrade & dinners – yes, right! We had a business conference call within 20 minutes of our arrival, but that couldn’t be done as we had to go to the hotel Jury’s Inn had chosen for us!
We had been looking forward to an afternoon of relaxation in the pool, but of course that was gone! & as we will go back there the next day to check in for the 2nd time in under 24 hours, our morning is wasted as well. This is only the relaxation bit.
The hotel they sent us to is one where you either get a WiFi in your room with a tin roof view blocking your daylight, or you get a room with no WiFi!!! Imagine! So we couldn’t work or do our business emails in our room. Instead, we tried to do it in the garden, so we had to carry extension leads etc. to make things work. It had got to 5:30pm by this time, as we had been going around this new hotel trying to find an available room that suited us. Remember, we hadn’t chosen this hotel to begin with – it was shoved upon us by Jury’s Inn.
We would’ve understood this treatment if we had just booked our stay & then turned up the next day… We were not informed of such an incredulous possibility a few days sooner to manage to make any arrangements, not that one should have to do that after having booked 4 months in advance, but then at least we could’ve tried to find an alternative place that suited us. But it was a fait accompli & we had to accept it.
Bottom line is you cannot trust Jury’s Inn. Wonder what their brand vision is?!? Or their brand values?! Maybe they have none? How can a business take their clients for granted??? It’s incredible that they think an upgrade or dinners can balance out the stress, anger & disruption they have caused people by nonchalantly sending them over to somewhere else & wasting 2 days of their lives just by making them move aimlessly from 1 place to another without being able to either enjoy life or work decently.
Amazing audacity!

Jurys Inn Birmingham,UK

Bed extremely comfortable and room spacious. Only negative - Reception management and staff get very busy and need to learn to acknowledge customers. You don’t mind waiting when eye contact, a nod or something to say ‘I’ve seen you and you’ll get my full attention next “. There’s nothing worse than two members of staff talking right in front of you and ignoring you. It would of been a 4* rating but 5* awarded because of Matt in Food & Beverage - he turned an ok stay into an EXCEPTIONAL STAY. Nothing was too much trouble - I needed welcome drinks for my daughters Hen Party which was due to start 2 hours later! No problem Matt said ! He arranged cocktails and mock-tails and decorated the table! I also requested a large table for breakfast the following morning- again no problem and he helped me sort out best timings etc. There are so many 4* & 5* Hotels in Birmingham, Customer Satisfaction and staff that go ‘that extra mile’ make all the difference. Restaurant team couldn’t of been more accommodating - even when very busy and stretched. At Breakfast everything replenished really quickly, plates and food hot too. Felt really safe here as a group of women. Security at lifts to stop unauthorised access to rooms and plenty of staff around. Room cleaning lady on 6th floor very helpful and kind too. I spent nearly 20 years in the Hospitality & Tourism industry ( Retail Travel and Hospitality, then in education as Travel and Tourism Tutor. I can honestly say it was a genuine pleasure staying at Jurys Inn Birmingham. Until the next time.

Southampton

Southampton. The worst food I've ever been unfortunate enough to eat. Luke warm meals. Lunchtime leftovers served up in the evenings.

Rooms are tatty and tired, not helped by the lack of proper daily cleaning.

No facilities at all. No parking no pool, no gym. A terrible place to stay.

Swindon stay

My friend and I have just come back from a four night break staying at the Jury's Inn at Swindon. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, especially Tim (the manager) and Michael on reception who were both lovely. The breakfasts were fab with lots of choice. We would definitely recommend this hotel as it was close to both the bus and the railway station. Thank you.

Nice Customer Experience

Nice Customer Experience

Stayed at Jury's Inn in Southampton last week and had a great experience to feed back: I had not booked breakfast as I was working late and when I booked it the next morning, Elena at breakfast was not only very welcoming and friendly but also only charged me half price! Very unexpected but a very nice gesture and breakfast was delicious as well. Also allowed me an extra hour stay and was great. Only downside is no parking at hotel but had a very nice stay.

On arrival the reception staff were lovely and very helpful. We had arrived hours before check in and it wasn't a problem at all. Our room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. The only down side was the bathroom was in need of a little work.

Liverpool Jury’s Inn Tripadviser Listing out of date - there is no parking there

Their listing on tripadviser Jury’s Inn Liverpool says there is parking available at the hotel. I thought I would call to double check but after waiting 20 mins with no answer, went ahead and booked as it was clearly stated the hotel had parking. Just as I had booked, they answered the phone only to confirm there is actually no parking available at the hotel, they direct you to nearby car parks, which I felt was unnecessary as there are plenty of hotels in Liverpool that offer free parking on site. Iqra told me she would make a note, email hotels.com and if hotels.com contacted them, they would ask them to cancel the booking confirming it was misrepresentation on their part as they have not updated their tripadviser listing (apparently after their car park burnt down?) which is a worry in itself. I have now been holding with Hotels.com for over 1 hour and 30 mins, as they seem incapable or unwilling to cancel the booking, or they just can’t get through to Jury’s Inn. I am not sure where this breakdown in communication is, but for partner sites, but it should be better. UPDATE* Just heard from hotels.com that they are in fact processing a full refund and so changing 1 star to 3 stars.

Jurys Inn - Avoid no customer service

Jurys Inn - Avoid at all costs. And be wary of Booking.com

Used Booking.com to find accommodation for 29/11/19 on Sunday 2/12/18 (Almost a full year in advance). I searched on booking.com specifying I only wanted no cancellation charges and no prepayment charges.

Booked a room for one party 2 A & 1 C thinking it was what I requested no cancellation and no prepayment charges. Went to book the other room for our party 2A & 2C - no rooms available they do not accommodate families.

Never mind, cancel that booking and book us all into a different hotel. No, not an option - our party will now be separated in different hotels in Edinburgh because Jurys Inn will not let Booking.com cancel my booking without charging me the full rate even though the booking is 29/11/19 - almost a full year away!
