Good family weekend stay at Newcastle…
Good family weekend stay at Newcastle hotel. All just as expected for the price we paid. Room spacious enough for the four of us tor two nights .
Dont trust what staff say as told by there depute manager
Brighton jury inn by train station don't trust the staff is what I was told by the deputy manager when I told them I had been given a parking ticket in car park after a member of staff said its free to disabled drivers its now cost me another £60

Booked in Brighton for the weekend with my family, we have a great time, not complaints at all, all the staff was lovely and ready to help, bedroom was good enough and the breakfast was nice, definitely I recommend this one.
BAD BEHAVIOUR OF MANAGER AT JURYS INN PARNELL STREET…
This is about our stay at JURYS INN PARNELL STREET DUBLIN,IRELAND.
IT WAS DAY TWO OF OUR STAY ON MAY 29TH,2022 AND WHEN WE CAME TO THE HOTEL IN THE EVENING AROUND 7PM,THE KEY OF THE ROOM WAS NOT WORKING AND THE DOOR OF THE ROOM WOULDNT OPEN FOR 50 MINUTES.
THE GUY AT THE RECPETION - BENJAMIN ACTIVATED THE KEY SEVEN TIMES BUT COULD DO NOTHING AND HAD NO CLUE HOW TO ? MY HUSBAND HAD TO MAKE MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE RECEPTION FROM THE ROOM ON 4TH FLOOR WHILE ME AND MY 7 YEAR OLD CHILD WHO WAS HUNGRY AND HAD TO BE GIVEN HIS MILK STOOD BY IN THE CORRIDOR IN FRONT OF THE ROOM,
THEN COMES A HOUSEKEEPING GUY WITH TOWELS WE HAD REQUESTED AND WHEN I ASK HIM IF HE CAN OPEN THE ROOM WITH THE KEY THAT NORMALLY THESE PEOPLE HAVE - HE SAYS TO ME AS IF IAM SOME CULPRIT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM IN OPENING THE ROOM SO HE WILL NOT DO IT - AND UNBELIEVABLY DEPOSITS THE TOWELS RIGHT THERE INTO MY HANDS AND WALKS OFF
WHEN WE ALL THEN GO DOWN AND QUESTIPON THIS GUY AT THE RECEPTION BENJAMIN HE MERELY SAYS THAT HE APOLOGISES AND CALLS THE MANAGER ON DUTY.
NOW THIS GUY, THE MANAGER WHEN I VENT MY OBJECTION TO ALL THIS HAPPENING,TALKS TO ME IN THE MOST RUDE,ARROGANT AND RACIST WAY AND SAYS THAT MY BEHAVIOUR IS UNACCEPTABLE - CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT - A MANAGER OF A HOTEL WHICH IS NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE ROOM FOR ITS CUSTOMER FOR 50 MINUTES TELLS THE CUSTOMER WHOSE RIGHT OF ENTRY IS INFRINGED AND VIOLATED THAT THE CUSTOMERS BEHAVIOUR WAS UNACCEPTABLE.
THIS WAS A CLEAR VIOLATION OF OUR HUMAN RIGHTS,CONSUMER RIGHTS AND RIGHTS OF EQUAL TREATMENT BECAUSE THAT MANAGER NAMED MOHAMMED BEHAVED WITH US IN A DISPARAGING,DISCRIMINATORY AND RACIST WAY BESIDES VIOLATING MY PERSONAL RIGHT AS A WOMAN OF BEING TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.
THIS HAPPENED ONLY BECAUSE WE WERE INDIANS.
ON THE CONTRARY THE BELFAST JURYS INN STAY WAS FINE AND ALL THE EARLIER HOTELS WE STAYED FOR 14 DAYS IN UK WERE FINE AND THE STAFF MOST FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS AS IS DUE TO ANY CUSTOMER.
SUGGESTION - HOTEL SHOULD HAVE BACK UP MECHANISM WHEN THEIR HOTEL KEYS ARE NOT WORKING
MANAGERS AND STAFF SHOULD BE TAUGHT TO RESPECT THE CUSTOMER BECAUSE AFTER ALL A HOTEL RUNS BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER WALKS IN AND NOT BECAUSE A RACUST MANAGER WORKS THERE.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.very dated, room smelled damp.sink cracked.no sleep due to creaking flooring from floor above &all for £389 per night.totally robbed.
Booked through Expedia a one night stay…
Booked through Expedia a one night stay at Jury's Inn Cork. Quoted €188 but had to pay €198 when I arrived but as I was exhausted after a long trip I was not in the mood to argue the point. The extra breakfast was way overpriced at €14 and with no vegan option, just had to find what looked vegan. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Nice view over the river at night but woken by heavy traffic at 06:30 in the morning due to inadequate double glazing.Would I stay again --- only if absolutely necessary.
No refund
Like many others here I want to highlight a problem with Jury's Inn credit card charging and refunds. Despite the booking saying it was pay on arrival they charged my card immediately (£500). I had to cancel and 2 weeks later still no refund. They are saying 14 working days which will be over 3 weeks with back holidays and weekends. I'm not confident it will be refunded even in this ridiculously slow timeframe now I've seen these reviews.
Jury's Inn, MK - Locked Out
I just returned from the gym and attempted to go back to my room, but the keycard didn't work. I go to reception and get a new card, which also doesn’t work. I went back to reception, got another card, and was advised to use the hallway phone if this didn’t work – it didn’t, and neither did the phone!? Each time I went back to reception, I wasn’t given priority by the staff regarding an obvious recurring issue… I was made to wait in the queues building. Eventually, the duty M&E Manager ‘Sarad’ came to attend to the issue. He confirmed the batteries on the door lock were dead and left to get new ones, advising me to wait in the bar? I didn’t want to use the bar… he was gone for approximately 10 minutes until I had enough and confronted the reception manager ‘Lucy’, again no priority so I skipped the queue this time around to complain. Eventually I got into my room.
Waiting 35+ minutes though to get into my room is unacceptable. Being made to requeue and attempt the door with 5 different keys is unacceptable.
There was no priority, no care, no professionalism, and It’s not good enough.
AVOID
AVOID JURYS INN AT QUAYSIDE NEWCASLE…
AVOID JURYS INN AT QUAYSIDE NEWCASLE THE MANAGERS ATTITUDE IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING I DONT KNOW HOW SHE WORKS IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR DEPARTMENT FIRSTLY ME AND MY PATNER TURNED UP AT THE HOTEL AT 3 CHECK IN FROM 2 TOO BE TOLD THE ROOMS WERE NOT READY THEN OTHER PEOPLE WERE CHECKING IN AND GETTING THERE ROOM STRAIGHT AWAY I WAS HAVING A PRIVATE CONVERSATION WITH MY PATNER THE MANAGER WAS LISTENING TO MY PRIVATE CONVERSATION THEN WAS ASKING ME WHAT I WAS SAYING VERY RUDE OFF HER THEN HER TELLING ME TO GO STAY AT THE HOTEL OVER THE ROAD SHE HAD RUINED MY BREAK AWAY JUST BY HOW RUDE SHE WAS I TOLD MY PATNER I FELT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE STAYING IN THE JURYS INN DUE TOO THE MANAGERS ACTIONS WE LEFT THE HOTEL AND THEN THEY STILL CHARGED US £80 FOR A ROOM WE DID NOT STAY IN THIS LADY NEEDS TO GO ON A COURSE TO LEARN HOW TO SPEAK TO THE PUBLIC OR BE SACKED APPARENTLY WE ARE NOT THE FIRST PEOPLE SHE HAS GONE ON LIKE THAT WITH SHE IS KNOWN FOR IT
Customer service = computer says 'NO'.
It is so disappointing to see such terrible ratings on what are good hotels within what is a poorly managed group. They guarantee the cheapest rates direct. This is simply not true, and should be referred to trading standards as direct rates are not even close, in my case 66% higher. I booked through booking.com (who are equally appalling at customer service), a night for my son to celebrate his birthday. I simply tried to change the name on the booking so that he would not have an issue when checking in, for what was a prepaid break.
'computer says no' syndrome immediatley kicks in, need to contact booking.com, who say the exact reverse.
'Nothing we can do' was how the call was ended. They are prepared to lose business, on the back of a lazy customer service call centre, who just want to pass you back to the third party. Hence I would have given just one star. I eventually found a way of contacting the hotel direct and speaking with the manager at Leonardos Tower Bridge. Utterly brilliant and worthy of 5 stars. He immediatley resolved the issue changed the name and called me back in 5 minutes to apologise on behalf of the group, and looked forward to welcoming my son to his hotel. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
If it was not for Amo, Jurys Inn would have lost a good customer forever, and hence awarded an extra star for Jurys Inn employing great staff. When will this service industry learn (from what is clear to see on all these horrendous reviews) that you have to manage problems in customer service not avoid them by passing the problem back to the client, who will in most cases respond by walking away, end of business. Shameful and amateur response from Jurys Inn, and a slippery slope. I wager that Jurys Inn will not exist 5 years from now, and we will refer to the name as that appalling group that once managed some lovely hotels. As for Leonardos Tower Bridge, I hope you get bought out by a more responsible and curteous group of hotels, they deserve it.
Have not refunded what they owe me
Have owed me a refund for 5 weeks and despite various promises have still not repaid me the £135 they owe me. I cannot find a way to reach customer services to complain except a phone line I have to pay to use or an email which goes to the specific hotel in Leeds as opposed to Head Office.
Jurys Inn Leeds
I stayed 2 nights at Jurys Inn, Leeds. I was greeted on reception by a gentlemen by the name of Hose. I work within the customer service industry myself and simply wish that Jurys recognise this member of their team and Hose far exceeded my expectation on arrival and assisted me with advice on parking. I spoke to Hose numerous times during my stay Hose was always polite, helpful and professional. Made my 2 day business days a whole lot more comfortable. Hose is a legend. Well done Jurys.
Possibly the dirtiest Hotel I've ever stayed inn
Booked 2 rooms for a 1 night stay at Newcastle. The place is filthy. Got the kids into their room first and saw some warning signs like hair on the bed and dirty hand prints all over the surfaces but this did not compare with what we found in our room again there was dirty hand prints on every surface the window was hanging open and had no handle on anymore so couldn't be closed and then to top it all we found the bathroom sink covered in blood. It's anyone's guess if a cleaner had even been in. Reception were great and swapped this room out but the replacement wasn't much better but wasn't blood stained so we tolerated it. The hotel is really in dire need of refurbishment and a new cleaning team it will be my first and last visit to a jurys inn
Con artists
Booked 4 cancellable rooms at Newcastle……a pal booked the rooms already so I contacted the hotel to cancel…….few days later no refund…called again to be to,d they hold on to funds for 14 working days (so nearly a month)……..rip off merchants.they should be more clear on cancellation policy
Don’t book if you might have to make amendments
Careful booking with this company if you think you might need to amend your booking. Only an actual cancellation is free - if you merely amend your booking any refund is at “their discretion”. They can just give you a credit. I’ve been out of pocket for three months (waiting on a refund) and only just discovered I can only get my money back if I cancel the entire booking - although I would still like to stay two of the nights. So I need to cancel and rebook - no doubt at a higher cost.
Jury’s Out…. Avoid
Jury’s Inn Oxford Totally in adequate restaurant facilities, rude and miserable staff, over priced bar food and worst bar facilities I have ever experienced.
I stayed here for a wedding 25th & 26th March. On arrival I tried to book the restaurant, and was advised it was full. So I rang round other restaurants in the area, but because it was a Friday and late in the day, no availability. So I complained and the very rude duty manager (didn't get her name) was unhelpful and advised I would have to use the bar. The trouble with this is the bar area is too small for the number of guest, so we waited nearly an hour to get a table then had to queue over 20 mins to order drinks and food .The bar menu choice was very poor and over priced, and very poor quality as well. The food eventually turned up 2 hours after we had first walked into the bar. I charged the meal to my room but paid for every thing else over the weekend via debit card. In total over the weekend I spent excess of £650 in accommodation, parking, beverages and food in the hotel.
So when it came to check out, I asked if the food of £27.50 (which equated to about 4% of my total spend in the hotel) would be removed due to the rudeness of the staff, the poor quality food and the waiting time. The duty manager on the day (Stuart) refused, but offered me 2% off the meal - which equated to 55p. I refused his generous offer (sarcasm), and said I would be resorting to social media to highlight the inadequacies of the hotel. To which he called me a W@nker and turned round and walked off (hopefully this was captured on CCTV, and the senior management check this). I was so shocked I turned round and walked out of the hotel.
I then discovered that they then deducted the payment from my card without the proper authorisation from myself. So now I would like a full refund for the meal and an apology from the Duty Manager.
Stuart you are an embarrassment to the hospitality industry
Freezing hotel stay.
After having spent three nights at the jury's inn Plymouth I have now warmed up,the air conditioning would not work, the manager came up and fiddled with the controller and said it would come on in about 30 minutes which didn't happen, after reporting the problem again nothing happened,I find this totally unacceptable and will not be using this establishment again.
Just had a night stay at Jurys Bradford…

However it’s clean and good breakfast served.
You don't get what you pay for at Jurys Inn - Sheffield
I was really disappointed after staying at Jury’s Sheffield on Friday the 11th March and I wanted to share my experience and make other travelers aware.
I had asked to be located in a quiet room at check this was given with the assurity the 9th floor would be free from noise. However, I later found out late in the evening it wasn’t with the noise of a thudding bass beat from house music of the neighbouring nightclub with this disturbance polluting the room until 06.00am in the morning when it stopped at closing time next door. I stated my experience on check out and the receptionist Matt/Mati stated ‘this is what you need to expect when staying in a city centre location’ I was astounded with his retort.
I booked a superior package which included a newspaper, 10% lunch/dinner discount during your stay, Late check-out until 2pm. Daily complimentary regular size Costa coffee per guest during your stay. Supported on me written confirmation having booked direct with Jury’s online. However, when asking for a newspaper I was told they only given to Executive rooms. I showed my confirmation to Matt/Mati who then backed down and simply said sorry. I later learnt they don’t offer newspapers anymore at this property. The Costa machine is broken so again another service I’d paid for that could not be offered either. I received nothing to state I was entitled to a 10% discount in their restaurant
How can a hotel advertise something then don’t offer, this breaks Trading Standards? This is not what I would have expected of a four-star property. So please beware if you are considering booking a room at this property what you are actually getting what you pay, their levels of service, and where this property is are located in Sheffield unless you’re in the nightclub scene.
Bad experience
I always use Jurys Inn and i am very disapointed with our experience in the Jurys Inn Birmingham. They couldn’t clean our rooms due to “Covid-19”.
1. They did not explain this during the booking process.
2. The receptionist did not inform us on arrival.
3. The A4 paper sheet with all the instructions did not explain this either.
Our room was dirty, our sheets had holes and stains at the bottom (tucked into the bed). The room condition was poor.
