Booked last year to visit Newcastle, booked the Jurys Inn which now is Leonardo Hotel. I had the absolute worst service possible. I travelled from the Midlands so it took me over 7hrs via coach, i a... See more

Terrible
Booked here many months in advance, did think £60 for a night was over-priced compared to its competitors. Arrived to find no parking was inclusive of this price. Very disappointing. Again, competitors always provide parking. There was a private car park underneath the hotel, which we were offered for £10/24 hours, meaning the room Was essentially £70. Got to the room, couldn't believe how dated it was. The whole room is crying out for modernisation. Artex ceilings hit you straight away. The room naturally got very hot overnight, and to make matters even better the A/C decided it wasn't going to work. So we had to suffer in a hot room without resolution. Of course the windows only open a very slight amount. Staff were all kind and was nice to have security when we returned at night checking we were actually staying there.
Overall, I would not recommend this establishment, go to premier inn or Travelodge.
Avoid this hotel at all costs
Finally got my money back after umpteen phone calls and messages. It’s been an absolute nightmare. I had to get my bank involved as well set up a dispute. I actually thought I’d never see my £600 back. I’ve hardly slept with worry. It said free cancellation on it but what I didn’t see was prepayment. I saw one payment come out of my account on the day I had booked it in fact it came out less than 5 mins after I’d booked it. I thought that’s ok that’s just securing my booking. Next thing another payment was taken out. So the full amount was taken out in less than 5 mins and it took a full week to get it back. It was pending for 3 days next minute they’d swiped it. Moral of this is never book with Jurys hotel I had booked the one in Manchester but I should have read the reviews first they are totally shocking. These are going back to 2018 and I don’t understand how it’s still open. It’s crawling with bugs stained bed linen rude staff breakfast is appalling and no heating and loud noise cracked tiles the list is endless. If this hotel is avoided it’ll be shut down and people won’t have their money stolen.
BEWARE JURYS HOTEL MANCHESTER
Very late refund
Very late with the refund! I have not received it yet and it has been more than a month! there should be a penalty to the hotels who break their own policies!
Always a very positive experience with…

Their policy of taking payment,on cancellable bookings months ahead is abhorrent
Also they take an age to refund (your) money
A disgrace
Absolutely appalled by the service at…
Absolutely appalled by the service at Jurys inn Brighton . Security woke me up at 5.45 suggesting we were having a party . Security and a member of the front of house staff came in and looked around the room as me and my partner were here just in out boxing shorts . Genuinely shocked
Filthy and horrendous- give it a miss!
Upon arrival at this hotel (Newcastle) myself and Amy came across a few issues within the room like no lightbulb on the desk lamp, toothpaste on the ironing board, a blood stained shower curtain, a remote control with one battery (meaning it didn’t work) but also a very odd and foul smell lingering about the room between the double bed and the single bed.
Amy and I never thought much of it, until we arrived back at the hotel after a brilliant night in Newcastle and were very tired after being up from 3am on that morning for our flight from Belfast to Newcastle, and much to our surprise when getting into the bed there was some sort of human excretion on the bed, on the base of the bed, and on the floor! This is a serious matter especially in such times with the current pandemic and could’ve made us very ill if we came into contact with it.
Is the room really being sterilised and cleansed like they claim to say?
We have stayed in some very good hotels and some very standard hotels, but NEVER in my whole life have I encountered something as vile and disgusting as this.
We then went to reception to complain, to not even get an apology but at 2am we really couldn’t care we were just tired and wanted to get to sleep, so we got moved room to an “accessible” room which is not a room we had booked, we didn’t ask for a wet room. Amy enjoys a bath and was very much looking forward to having a bath the next day and this room wasn’t able to provide that for her. At this stage we were very traumatised and angered so we got all of our belongings and handed our room key cards back to reception and went on the hunt for a hotel that can provide the most basic hygiene standards that ALL hotels should do!
We have had no reply from this hotel when making a complaint. All we can say is DO NOT stay at this hotel! Absolutely shocking
35 days later still no refund
Fine if you go...a nightmare if you cancel. Like most people I got Covid over Christmas and could visit my family so I cancelled my booking within the free cancellation period. I called Jury's Inn in mid January as I hadn't received the refund and they advised it would be processed within the next few days. It's now 35 days later and I still don't have my money back. The central reservations line took an insane number of security details only to tell me they couldn't help and don't deal with refunds! Current advice from the hotel itself is that the refund will be processed today and will hit my account in five days. I have a feeling this isn't going to happen. If you need a refund, ask for the actual hotel phone number when you call the helpline. The call centre can't issue you a refund.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Shame I couldnt give a zero review here.
So at the beginning of this month I booked the Jurys at Newcastle Quayside for my birthday in Feb at a bargain price of £93.00, or so I thought...
i booked the pay later option so that we could settle the bill on arrival, this was not to be, the hotel took the payment instantly.
I contacted the hotel and they advised that I had booked the prepayment option, although I knew I had not, I was then told it would be another £30+ if I required this option and now taking the cost to nearly £140 a night.
With this in mind I decided to cancel at no cost (as per my terms and conditions), I then booked the Copthorne Quayside instead as they have a pay on arrival option for £109.00 a night.
I still have not received a refund from the Jurys after more than 2 weeks of cancelling, I have contacted the hotel several times and was initially told it is 14 banking days before my refund will go back to my card, this should have been 3 days ago now if this is the case, they are now saying it wont be refunded till next week!
This hotels customer service is shocking I wish I had of read the reviews before I booked (which I normally do) but the jurys normally have a good reputation so I trusted my instincts.
I would never book at any Jurys hotel anywhere again now, I have had to contact my bank to obtain the refund on my behalf as my patience has exceeded its tolerance level.
I wouldn’t even give this hotel a one…
I wouldn’t even give this hotel a one star it does not deserve it I wish I read the reviews before book in this hotel. I have an actually been to this hotel but the experience of booking the hotel was an absolute nightmare they took money from my account when I was meant to pay on the day when I phoned them they told me they was going to refund me However instead of refunding me they then deducted me again Oh then rung up again Told them about the error they had made they then told me they would refund me only to deduct me again. The staff at reception are unapologetic they put the phone down on me twice and incredibly rude! I spent my whole evening on the phone to my bank to cancel the pending transactions as they would not help. This issue is still yet to be resolved and I am waiting on a refund!
DISGUSTING SERVICE!
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THEY DO NOT REFUND YOU AND WILL KEEP TAKING MONEY WITHOUT YOUR CONCENT FROM YOUR BANK!
This Verdict is a resounding 'No No' for The Jurys Inn
Stayed at Jurys Inn, Keel Wharf Liverpool last night .... made booking on booking.com taking reservation for a 'Supreme Double Room' at a bit extra cost (this was advertised as including Water, Cookies, Costa Coffee x2 and a 2pm checkout) ... I know, i'm easily excitable and was so up for a midnight cookie !! anyway, got to the room and it was clean yes, but very box standard, on the small side and there was an immediate perpetual hummmmm in the air (which lasted the whole one night stay). Well, i'm presuming the 'water' they provided was that which was already in the kettle ?? cos there weren't any bottles of water ... and the cookies !! well, there were two of those Lotus Biscoff biscuits that you get complimentary with a coffee in town ..... what a swindle !! Then, we're watching TV, yeah okay, it was heading for midnight, but we get a knock on the door from Two Men in Black (and obligatory hospital mask over face) telling us to turn the TV down ..... two hours later we hear arguments in the hallway ... next morning we hear kids screeching in the hallway ... we go downstairs for our Costa Coffee and although the server done her best it was rank coffee ... awful, and i'm guessing it was something to do with the machine not being clean and/or products being of inferior quality .... anyway, we go back to our room and we're locked out because they obviously haven't programmed the key for a 2pm checkout .... twice while we were down near reception we hear an escalating argument between guest and reception staff over the guest not having any hot water during their stay and wanting a refund which they were being denied and I have to admit I felt the reception staff (two women) were being less than customer friendly and seemingly 'ganging' up on the guest and just trying to get rid of him. Altogether this was an uncomfortable stay and I will not ever book or stay here again. Jurys inn Hotels, you are failing on many levels. Misleading advertising, poor products and no need for sending the heavies over TV volume (soundproof your rooms for your paying guests) .... The 2 stars i've given are for the bed and the bed linen alone ... they were pretty decent.
If only I had read these reviews when…
If only I had read these reviews when booking, felt safe and no need as booked through booking.com with free cancellation but same problem as many reviews here, I cancelled booking with free cancellation and three weeks later still no refund. Please please no one book with Jurys Inn or even booking.com as booking.com take no responsibilty either for getting me my money back.
I stayed at Jury’s Inn The Waterfront…
I stayed at Jury’s Inn The Waterfront Brighton in an executive room. There was damp coming in through the window. The sill was rotten causing the room to smell. The shower leaked onto the carpet. It was the highest nightly rate I have ever paid and the worst room. In addition to this I think Covid-19 is an excuse for poor service. If you have travelled 130 miles to stay the least I would expect is a place to buy food.
Awful customer service
I cancelled a booking with jury’s inn Dublin on 29th October, I have chased the refund several times and was told it would take 20 working days…. It is now 24 working days and I have still not received a refund….
I have tried calling again but left holding and I get no response to any emails I send.
I can’t say whether or not their hotels are pleasant to stay at, but I wouldn’t book with them again for the poor service given when trying to get your money back !!
Untrustworthy
Changed the on line price after I agreed to book.
1 night + 4 day parking @ East Midlands Airport, on line price £74.75, when tried to book it went up to £103.00.
What a con.
Leonardo tower bridge London ( jury’s nine )
Pic attached of broken room thermostat which they done nothing about!
Come away from this hotel leaving a bad taste in my mouth, mini bar in the room was locked so after a long day out could not access any refreshment or chill my own food / drink, tried phoning up reception / concierge / room service 7 times for an hour and no answer.
We walked past the reception 10 min earlier and saw 3 people there so they obviously put me on silent….
The walk from the hotel room to the reception was epically long due to the way the hotel is designed aswel.
Plus my room was blowing out cold air all night as the AC was stuck on, but sadly no one wanted to answer to my phone calls so had to wrap up all night!
Also the pool was about 5 degrees lower then normal, the hotel staff knew I was using the pool was I told about this ? No!
And lastly the hotel manager Gabriella kolber just apologised to me about all this. End of conversation! Quite frankly when your paying good money you expect a certain level of quality and sadly this was under achieved during our stay!
The next day another manager offered me late check our and a complimentary drink. This isn’t enough to satisfy me given the amount of money we paid for the rooms.
Won’t be staying here again!
This ruined our anniversary stay and hotel knew about this. ( also we spoke to the cleaner staff who normally make special arrangements on the beds like petals in love heart and chocolate for newly engaged poodle. What did we get ? NOTHING.
Good place to stay
Good place to stay, central location and parking
Jurys Inn Swindon - Bad Experience
I was assigned to go to this hotel when returning from a red-listed country.
Since the check-in date, the service was very bad.
The room was dirty, with a lot of hair. Hair in the bathroom.
This obviously shows how little clean it was, and taking into consideration that cleaning should be extremely meticulous because they hosted people coming from red-listed countries.
Of course, they had to guarantee the health and safety of people who stayed there. I complained in the hotel and was told to stay there anyway, they didn't provide any kind of solution. This cannot happen in a place that is supposed to ensure the wellness of the guests.
The food, they missed a lot of meals, for this reason, I had to order most of the meals by delivery or I would not eat at all. Sometimes when they gave me food it was incomplete. I complained but no solution was given.
I have evidence of everything mentioned here.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone
Booked on booking.com cancelled it one…
Booked on booking.com cancelled it one day later with free cancellation. Jury's still took the payment in full. Contacted them. 7-8 times over a month and they said 20 business days. Received the refund which was about 90 percent of what I paid initially. Absolute nightmare
Stay away from dealing with this.
Always have a great stay here
I stayed here a few times and never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and in particular, I would like to show my appreciation for the digital check-in system which saves a lot of time.
