I stayed at Kaplan for six months
I stayed at Kaplan for six months, and overall my experience was disappointing. The quality of teaching needs major improvement, as many teachers are inexperienced and lessons are poorly organized, especially for beginners.
Accommodation was very poor — most host families were unsuitable, far from the school, and offered little support. I faced a medical issue and did not receive proper assistance from the school.
Social activities were weak and lacked proper planning. They should be more engaging, affordable, and encourage students to practice English and interact with others.
Kaplan needs to improve teacher quality, accommodation, and student support to rebuild trust with students. Without these changes, the school risks losing its reputation among international students.

Regarding accommodation, we want to clarify that host family placements within walking distance require an additional fee, as communicated in our program materials. Standard placements may involve public transportation, which in your case was approximately 25 minutes by bus. We did consider your request for a closer placement due to your mentioned mobility concerns, but we needed verified medical documentation to process an exception to our standard policy.
We recognize that your overall experience did not meet your expectations, and our team would be happy to discuss your concerns in more detail. We hope we can clear up any misunderstandings about our policies and procedures.
