It was a great experience overall, but if I could change one thing, it would be the way new students are welcomed. When I arrived, no one clearly explained where I needed to go, what I would be studying, what my schedule was, or even gave me any welcome materials (just the exercises book) or goodies.
The teachers are competent and kind, but we mostly work on speaking with our classmates rather than doing written exercises. I think I didn’t choose the right course option I picked the intensive one, but I was actually looking for something more focused on grammar, like reviewing and mastering all the tenses and irregular verbs, i would Said my bad, but they didnt present the modules when i register.

We do learn a lot of vocabulary, but that’s not really enough to speak fluently and confidently, especially when many people in class still make very basic grammatical mistakes.
Also, the intensive course takes up a lot of time, so think carefully before choosing it. It gives you more hours of class, but it’s not specifically tailored to your personal progress.

Really friendly and lovely staff. No doubts i am giving 5 stars. Recommended for everyone that tries to get to know with english closer. Kaplan teaches very well speaking in classes with various people. Love !!!

My time at Kaplan was great. I learned a lot and I feel more confident than before, when I talk in english.

My experience at Kaplan was great! The classes were good, the host family was great, I had unforgettable experiences!

The host family was amazing. Melissa teachs very well, and Alba and Lisa are the best staff to felt you comfortable.

I joined the Kaplan London 30+ program on 21 July 2025 for a 4-week course. At registration, I was not informed that there were morning and afternoon class options. After classes started, I wanted to move to the morning group and had to pay £60. Later, I found out that students moving to the afternoon group were also charged the same. This policy seemed unfair and illogical.

The first week went well. My teacher was a native English speaker and the lessons were engaging and productive. But everything changed in the second week. The teacher changed, and the class became unproductive and boring. I requested to change classes, and my request was initially accepted. However, later the school administration told me it was a mistake and canceled the transfer. I was told the class I wanted was full and that I’d have to wait one week.

As of now, I’m in London studying alone in my dorm, without any proper class or teacher. I reported the situation by email and received a reply saying I’d hear back within 15 days.

Kaplan may be a well-known name, but in terms of quality, my experience didn’t match the reputation. Even the percentage of native English-speaking teachers was quite low. I truly regret having this experience.

My review is about the Kaplan English Test online for UK. I have mixed feelings about this test. On one hand you can conveniently take it at home, on the other hand you must read all the instructions EXTREMELY carefully because if you do just 1 thing wrong you will have a problem and will have to re-take the test.

I enrolled my son in this English school, trusting the professionalism they advertise, but unfortunately the experience turned out to be a disaster.

First of all, he was supposed to attend morning classes, as initially requested and confirmed, but he was placed in the afternoon course instead, without any explanation or option to choose.

Secondly, he was assigned to a class far below his actual level of English. When he asked to be moved to a more suitable level, he was completely ignored and no action was taken.

Throughout the entire course, there was no real interaction or support from the staff, and my son felt completely left alone. What was supposed to be a valuable educational experience turned into a waste of both time and money.

I strongly do not recommend this school. Terrible service and absolutely no attention to the real needs of the students.
