Keen advertised the Targhee 2 as being waterproof. It never showed signs of even being water resistant. The manmade portion of the lower outer surface failed within 3 1/2 weeks. Sole shows separation... See more

Don't bother!
I wish I'd viewed trust pilot before I ordered. My purchase has not arrived and it appears impossible to get a reply from the company. I'm now trying to get my money back.
Scammers and thieves
Goods did not arrive, apparently the courier lost them. Initially 3% refund offered, but I am asking for 100% refund. Offer now up to 41%. Asked for replacement but apparently no longer trading.
Very Poor Quality
I've been a Keen wearer and fan for more years than I can remember but the standards have slipped. Bought some replacement Targee walking shoes and they are now rubbish, badly fitted around the ankle so you end up with stones in the shoe and waterproofing only lasted a few months even after constant maintenance. What a shame looks like they placed profit over quality.
Bought a pair of san Jose work boots…
Bought a pair of san Jose work boots and after 2 months the rubber bottom sole they started to fall apart and the stitching on the right foot shoe is falling apart. A boot made for work is suppose to last and take some tear to them if Its a work boot in my opinion.Absolutely the worst expensive pair of work boots I have bought.
Incredibly uncomfortable Keen Utility boots
I bought a pair of Keen Utility waterproof boots for daily wear. They are incredibly uncomfortable due to the tongue wrinkling and pressing against my ankle bones. The sensation is like having a steel ball pressing on the bone. I've worn them for short periods off and on for about 2 years hoping they might break in or adapt to my foot and ankle and become wearable, but I'm convinced now that I am not going to be able to use these boots. Now, they're out of warranty and I'm stuck with them.
Long time for delivery
Always been happy with the Keen sandals and ordered a new pair for my daughter. Have now been waiting for three weeks without any notification that they even in the right county. Very disappointing as delivery time stated to be 5-15 days.
Update: after 24 days a parcel arrived with a cap! instead of sandals. Let’s see how the customer support is acting.
Keens are garbage
I bought boots last year late in summer, and didn’t wear them in the winter, but started to wear them starting in the spring. Today I noticed that I have three holes in one and one hole in the other.
Yes they are my work boots, but I have a pair of Solomon boots that I wear every weekend and had worn them for an entire year every day to work. Compared Keens with Solomons - the price is about the same but the Solomons are way better quality. My fault for getting something different- lesson learned- don’t buy Keens
Garbage products
Garbage products, even worse customer service. They design everything to get you to quit warranty claims. The worst. It's a shame because if you need a wide toe box, the designs are good, but the quality of the shoes themselves are terrible.
Bought some ladies walking sandals and…
Bought some ladies walking sandals and today I have had another fall as the soles are slippy in damp tarmac/stones or concrete. What a waste of money as I will have to get rid of them
Soles crack and separate
Nice looking boot. Good fit. Upper leather is durable. Soles are garbage....Rubber soles crack and separates...After reading similar complaints will not repurchase... Avoid.
Terrible company bad customer service
Terrible company bad customer service, sorry no customer service. Ordered 1 pair of work boots and 1 pair of hiking boots. Shipped by FedEx . Tracking no supplied did not match my address, boots have gone missing. Contacted keen 4 times no reply. Scam company avoid at all cost. Still waiting for a refund hopefully to be sorted by PayPal. Please avoid do not get caught like I did.
FEDEX Driver/ Complaint
My husband is a truck driver for FedEx. Because his boots play a vital part in his job performance, after looking at the line of Keen boots, we were excited to purchase a pair. After buying the first pair of boots, the boots were leaking within the first two weeks as the snow in Michigan began to melt. we then purchased another pair but a different style. The second pair did the same thing. This is horrible!!!! For the price consumers pay for these boots, to encounter this issue is a problem. I would appreciate the company replacing the boots purchased and promising to continue the dedication to improving this product.
Absolutely dire dreadful quality
Absolutely dreadful quality - why can I not give 'minus' stars. Bought these Keen boots last September and they started falling apart in just a few months. Nothing strenuous - mainly walking the dog in the park before work after the initial week in The Lakes. All around the toe box has completely disintegrated on both boots. have had hiking boots all my life (now in late 60's) - and always had pairs faithfully last a few years at least - nothing ever this bad - quite simply - Do Not Buy. UPDATE - Major retailer in Ambleside where purchased have been superb in taking up my warranty claim. Retailer’s customer service have gone above and beyond and are taking it up with Keen. Will update more in due course - still say avoid Keen Targhee boots. Update - boots refunded by the major retailer in Ambleside who could not have been more helpful. another brand purchased, so far no problems - Never again will I buy 'Keen'
Beware
Beware! This is a scam. You will be sent a cheap knock-off of another item a fraction of the value of the item which you have purchased. The money will be paid to a company in Singapore and will be unrecoverable.
For a family business Keen really…
For a family business Keen really doesn’t give a stuff about it’s repeat customers! Bought a pair of Clearwater sandals in February, only worn them in an urban environment so far and they’re delaminating (sole separating from inner) complained to Keen who directed me to Amazon who directed me to Keen who them directed me to distributes who advised they sometimes distribute for Keen. Dealt with 3 alleged ‘customer services’ people who just hinder and obstruct - 1 said because I bought them
outside of US they cannot help even though it’s their manufactured product, actually they simply stated they won’t help - so that’s it 21st century customer service from Keen - be wary folks!!
Not what they used to be...
Like a lot of people that have written reviews of Keen, I have been a Keen customer for many years. Trust me when I say, the quality is not nearly what it used to be. I have Keen work boot, regular shoes, and hiking boots. Keen just happens to make shoes that fit my wide feet. In the past, a pair of boots would last literally years. Now, 6 moths at best. You get one exchange under the year long warranty. But my experience has been that the new boots will also break. My last exchange, the new boots lasted only a week before the side started ripping apart on one of them. With only walking the dog type use. I've had to exchange 3 pairs in the last year. I guess I'm done with Keen boots. It's a sad day.
Targhee 3 poor quality splitting as can…
Targhee 3 poor quality splitting as can be seen in photos. They have had little wear.
Lower quality and new pricing higher pricing
Targee sole fell off on the first minor hike this is after less than one week or usage. Very poor customer service, this is probably because they seem to be using AI to answer complaint letters. Eventually after phoning and talking to a human I was given a credit against another shoe purchase but this was less the shipping cost which I had to pay. I have owned many pairs of keen shoes but the last few pairs I have noticed a lower quality product and the prices have increased significantly. It is now to a point they they are no longer a higher quality value buy footwear option. Not really happy with keen shoes and therefore I will be looking at other brands in the future.

I ordered from the website but I didn’t receive anything till not after more than one month and the tracking number given to me showed the item was delivered to an address which is not my address. March to april 2023. I am still waiting…
I'm baffled by all these terrible reviews!
I'm baffled by all these terrible reviews! I have worn Keen's for many years and always found the company to be impeccable. Just returned a pair that just didn't fit right with absolutely no problems. There was a Facebook scam about a year ago that was "selling deep discounted Keens". I got scammed and never received the product but my credit card covered it. Wondering if these reviews are actually about that scam?
