I purchased a range cooker from Kensington. Despite being £100 more expensive than an on-line retailer, we decided to support our local businesses. The shop staff were decidedly lack-lustre on my 3 visits and I felt like I had to drag the information I needed out of them. After a few weeks, the cooker broke and was repaired first by Kensington and then twice by the manufacturer (which I had to organise). The manufacturer agreed that the oven was faulty and needed replacing, by which time Kensington had completely washed their hands of the matter. I tried to point out that I had given the money to Kensington so they should help to rectify the issue, but no joy, I was left negotiating with the manufacturer. During this time the staff were, at best, brisk and, at worst, downright rude. I will never buy from them again.

Just had my new range cooker delivered and I'm delighted. The delivery guys were super helpful as were everyone in the shop, and the price was great too, I got the hood at half price because I ordered it with the cooker. Really happy. Thank you

Ordered an AEG washer/dryer online. It arrived with a part missing. Telephoned and had a poor customer experience and then just got an email saying its under guarantee with the manufacturer. Go talk to them. No apology and no contact details.

I ordered the washing machine online 12 Feb 2015 and opted to have old machine taken away. Received call following day advising that there would be a delay in delivery till 25 Feb. I confirmed that was ok, 25th came and went and I heard nothing so called on the Friday and was promised to expect call on 2nd march as goods should have arrived by then. No contact again on the day so I called and chased twice that week. Was finally assured that machine would be in on the 9th march and delivered to me on the 13th march ~ all good I thought albeit one month later!! Before coming off the phone the advisor kindly informed be that although I had ticked the box for free removal of my old machine this would not be the case as I hadn't chosen the right model that qualifies for this and would have to pay a further £15 for this. I was taken aback and said I ticked it because I could to which he replied it shouldn't have let me! I said bearing in mind the inconvenience to date surely they could waive it. He said he would as what he could do, so far not too bad. I then checked the web only to discover the machine had gone down in price by £20 since I had placed my order, no mention of that by him! The big day arrives fri 13, I had received a call from the delivery company on thurs 12 advising it would be delivered first thing bright and early. I rang at 9am asking what first thing would be and was advised btw 10 - 12 noon!! Not best pleased of course rang a number of times up to and past noon to find out where my machine was, kept getting fobbed off that driver was stuck on m25 / 7 mins away and needless to say hours on no machine and no return phone call. Will NEVER use this company again and will endeavour to share my experience widely. WHERE IS MY MACHINE??????

We have bought both a dishwasher and a fridge-freezer from these guys and would not go anywhere else. Their prices are as competitive as the on line stores, plus you can go and view it in show room and talk to knowledgeable staff; they deliver at your convenience and take away the old stuff; What's not to like.

I knew which machine we required and Kensington had it in stock and it was delivered within a couple of days. The price was similar to online prices with no local delivery charge. I connected it myself though as it was a one for one replacement and thus no plumbing needed, their quoted price for installation was high I thought. A £5 charge to take away the old machine was good.

Prices virtually matched those searched on the web for deals. Kensington are actually a shop and you can view the goods as well as order them on line which gives you comfort. Straightforward people to deal with and don't pressurise for a sale. Delivered and fitted my integrated fridge with no fuss at all, putting on the door to match the rest of the kitchen, and realigned the unit so that it fitted in perfectly then took away the old fridge. All fuss free.

We've been customers for ten years. Nearly all our kitchen appliances are from Kensington. When they deliver the goods they take the old one away for a fiver. Fantastic. The staff are brilliant - they are helpful and have all the right answers. Prices are excellent too. What else can I say?

Kensington Appliances were very knowledgable and helpful from the time I walked into the store and purchased a hot point washing machine!! To the delivery 3 days later. I paid £5 for them to take the old one away, I can't complain! I would definitely recommend Kensington Appliances for their friendliness,efficiency, and reasonable pricing.

I am absolutely delighted with my recent purchase of a Bosch dishwasher from Kensington. Every aspect of the purchase was smoothly executed and it was installed by a very competent installer. I would really recommend purchasing from Kensington.

We recently purchased an upright freezer from Kensington, we chose local not only to support local businesses but also for convenience. They arranged the delivery to fit around us and the delivery staff were very professional. When the freezer was running it was faulty, Kensington swapped it for a new one as soon as I was available to receive delivery. Excellent service, very efficient and helpful.

Kensington had the right product at the right price and it was delivered on time and installed very quickly.

I ordered a Bosch fridge freezer, when delivered it was found to be damaged. Contacted Kensington Appliances and they immediately reordered a replacement -service was responsive and fast. I would certainly recommend them for their professional approach and good service.

It's nice to support an independent business, and even nicer if they offer such good prices and service. It is the first, and usually the only, place we visit if we need appliances. We ordered our cooker months ahead to fit in with kitchen fitting, and checked a week or two before that they had not forgotten - which they hadn't! We even knew what time of day it would arrive.The delivery men were faced with access problems cause by building works - and in the end it had to wait until the scaffolding came down. Not their fault, they tried various ways to get it into the house, stored it in the garage, and gave us useful advice on moving it later.

Looking for a graded upright freezer similar to last one we had from Kensington 2 years ago.
Information given on first visit was correct and graded appliance in stock as promised.
Same price as 2 years ago as well.
Delivered as scheduled and very helpful service.

They came when they said they would. They were very helpful. They were tidy and took away any rubbish. And they were cheerful. What more could I ask for!
