Had an issue with one book, where the text was going just beyond the edge of the screen. Adjusting the margins did nothing. Eventually managed to find a font size where this doesn't seem to happen, and then randomly hit a part of the book where the margin adjustment was working. So it could use some software tweaks, basically. Otherwise, it works great. I love that it opens to the book you were reading, rather than making you go through intro screens first, and the stylus is very nice.

Appreciate everything about my Kobo. It’s weight, the options, navigation. A definite winner.
I love it and would highly recommend this especially for studying.
phenomenal e-reader. Feel's great in the hand, very responsive, and the screen supports the writing/notetaking feature very well.
Game changer. Integration with overdrive and dropbox is amazing and using the notebooks has really been useful.
Beautiful screen and fully functional stylus.
It's pretty expensive compared to regular readers but beats my paperwhite any day
I really like this ereader. It's nice and big (perhaps a bit too big for some but I'm fine with it), it boots up really quickly compared to my old Libra 2, and the battery seems to last for ages. I'm not sure the notes facility will be as useful as I'd hoped but I have tried it out (both handwritten notes and annotating a .pdf) and it works fine. Dropbox sync is really handy too.
Best of the approximately 6 readers I've owned. Absolutely fantastic. If you like the smaller forms, this might not be what you want, but I really like the larger real estate.
Yes it's pricey but quality costs. Looking at reviews before buying persuaded me that, while expensive, the Elipsa 2E was the e-reader for me. The reviews weren't wrong - it's superb. Being made largely from recycled plastic means I can feel good about myself and it feels really nice in the hand and it's not heavy. Getting books onto it either directly from my PC or through the Kobo app is a doddle. It's easy to change the point size or the margins if you need to. The screen lighting is outstanding to me - being able to set it to automatically become progressively less 'blue' during the evening is a definite plus. Making notes is not something of much importance to me - the large screen being much more important - but the stylus works fine in my limited experience. Quality, I have no hesitation in saying, is five-star. Value for money drops a star because the sleep cover (which I think is essential) is vastly over-priced. Overall, if I had my time over, would I buy it again? Without hesitation, yes I would.
Works as advertised. No dramas. Software feels more polished and open then on my Kindle Scribe. It sometimes freezes and/or reboots when trying to epub books. Supposedly the KePub format works better, trying that now.
Good for books. Difficult, confusing interface that isn't highly discoverable. Unusable for PDFs. They open dark, but then turn light and nearly unreadable. This is a bug, not due to settings. Freeware PDF expert is far ahead of this software in terms of navigation. I definitely feel I have a first gen device and it is barely good enough.
I love my Elipsa 2E. The battery life is great. If I turn it off at night when I'm not going to read it, the battery lasts over a week, and I read at least a couple hours a day. The stylus is pretty good and the handwriting recognition is great. My handwriting is horrible and it still understood what I wrote.
The improvement of the reader is amazing. I like the larger screen and everything about it
Not worth trying, they will charge you a return fee. Be absolutely sure if this is the best for you
Amazing device, much faster “page turning”, and the pen is a revelation. All they need to do is give us a Latin to English dictionary and I really think more serious learners will have the perfect device.
Kobo Elipsa 2E brings me amazing reading experiance. It is large enough to read and make notes. It also provides excellent functions. I can link to my thoughts easily.
Love my new Kobo reader, great screen size and light weight.
Easy to use
I mainly use my Elipsa 2 for reading over its note taking and annotation capabilities. I have had numerous Kobo readers in the past including The Elipsa 1 and what is immediately obvious upon first use was its speed and the completeness of its reading environment. It is a pure joy to use. The few notes that I have made, using both the advanced and simple notes types have performed well. I have made use of the annotation feature to mark up epubs in the margins and I cannot fault this. I place few demands upon the Elipsa other than it provides me with a pleasant trouble free experience and it completely satisfies my need.
