Excellent e-reader, very good quality. I like it more than my previous kindle 10, except for the battery that doesn't last more than 10 days even if I'm using it just for reading. I was a kindle user before and honestly, I prefer more the kobo's than kindle's interface. Also, I've bought it because of it's 8", to read in pdf format and also to be able to borrow books from the local library, hopefully gonna work.

I switched from Kindle Paperwhite to Kobo Sage, mainly because I wanted to shop Canadian. I am glad I have that option. The Kobo is generally comparable but three things are disappointing. 1) The most significant problem is that I cannot share my highlights easily. In Kindle I could highlight a passage and email it to myself on the fly. It would include a citation. This is very important to me for research. 2) I bought the pen and cover. The pen is awkward to use, so I just type notes. The pen hangs only loosely on the e-reader or cover. I am bound to lose it. The cover complicates charging. I no longer use the pen and cover. 3) Setting up my account and changing my email required help desk calls. In the process, I lost some legacy books that were on my account at first.

It is light to hold for long periods of reading. Covers of books are in black and white so look drab, but it really isn’t worth the extra hundreds of dollars just to have colour for something you don’t spend much time actually looking at.

I've switch from using a kindle for over 10 yrs and I have no regrets. Love the selection of kobo plus. I love the display, its way better than my old paper white, its easier on my eyes. I love that its bigger and lighter too, the cover is perfect love that it folds and makes a stand. I bought the stylus, I use it to draw sketch for my designs and take notes directly on my knitting pattern.

Positives: Excellent quality screen and reading experience. Easy to set up and use. Negatives: limited battery life even without WiFi/Bluetooth on and screen brightness at 14%. Phyusical buttons are at time totally unresponsive requiring you to touch the screen to change pages. After that, they will function for a period.

Much better than my previous reader. Love the size and feel. Well thought out placement of buttons and I like that you can pick which one does what. My previous reader was vague about battery charge and progress through the book, but this one is very obvious when you choose the “full screen” option for the cover. I like everything about it, but if I have one criticism it would be the page turn button sometimes takes a few presses to work. It should be more sensitive. Glad I purchased and recommend.

Je ne sais pas. Je n'ai pas reçu le bon appareil / Pour les attardés anglophones: Can't tell, didn't received the right reader. Le pire, Kobo n'a pas pensé ni essayé de me renvoyer le bon appareil / For primitives who don't understand french: Worst, Kobo didn't try neigther offered to send me back the right order.
Battery life is horrible, from fully charged to zero in just a few hours. Battery drains just as fast when it is "sleeping."
