The saved money isn't worth thw hassle.

Recently got a Kogan mobile plan to save money and ended up losing as much as I would have spent over 12 months on a regular plan, in lost business, waiting for it to be connected. 8 calls to were made over 4 days to Kogan obly to find out that they Sim was faulty. Another 3 phonecalls and I was still waiting for an Esim to be activated. Customer service were rude and patronising, blaming me for their inability to listen to the problem and communicate an effective solution. Don't bother.

AVOID KOGAN MOBILE AT ALL COSTS - 23 additional unauthorised charges on my card

Took 23 seperate unauthorised transactions of $5 AUD from my bank card and refused to refund any that were older than 12 months. This company is a fraud and they make it almost impossible to recover the illegally taken funds. Not to mention half of metro Melbourne doesn’t get coverage from this sub standard service.

Spent hours on the phone trying to get my money back and still unsuccessful. Was a customer for 6 years. Won’t be there by the end of the month.

Kind of upset.

Kind of upset.

I have a $15 plan and I am auto charged $35 per month for the last few months; I only just caught it on my bank statement.

So far no refund or admission of fault from Kogan.
Just requests from Kogan for: my bank billing showing their charges.
Kogan is able to open my account and see they have charged me $35p/m and it has been paid every month on time with out requesting screen shots of my bank account.

Also?
The service is not worth even the low $15 per month. Kogan sub from Vodafone and none of my texts messages go through unless I am connected to wifi and
I am texting another Apple user.
No one at Kogan could fix my texting problem so I have just learned to live with it.

However, finding I am being charged $20 additional per month for the cheapest plan is not something I will live with and I am NOT happy.

Kogan mobile

3 of us in the family switch to Kogan and so far working great. We brought our numbers from the previous network which are easy to set up. Within 2 hours done. But wait there's more, we paid the yearly prepaid for 50% of the price with 15G/month and unlimited phone calls to any network in NZ and AUS. One of the best Christmas gifts for our family. Thanks Kogan

Thanks very much to Mustan from Kogan…

Thanks very much to Mustan from Kogan customer care. My debit card was hacked, and awaiting new one.
But that meant my plan couldn't be topped up or renewed. After a short call, Mustan organized me 2GB of data. I'm a disabled pensioner. The internet is my lifeline to family and friends. Thank you so much Mustan.

Worst provider EVER!!!

Worst provider EVER!!!! Porting my existing number wouldn’t work. Was unable to send or receive texts. Calls wouldn’t connect. I used their online chat facility. Patronising automated responses were incredibly frustrating. Overseas staff whose English was poor. They claimed the porting of my number was successful. Told me to not worry repeatedly. I requested a refund of what I had paid. Strangely my ability to use their chat facility became disabled. After 2 weeks of clearly wasting my time going rnd in circles I gave up and moved providers. I would avoid Kogan mobile at all costs.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Overseas staff barely can speak English. Auto renewal took $660 out of my account for me and my partner. My card has expired, so how does this happen? After talking to the staff for 2 whole days and over 15 emails, their final response was "no" which could've been answered to my first email! Shocking customer service. Daylight robbery

Conned by Kogan

Be careful of auto-renew after the first 12 months. They emailed me to remind me of expiry so I purchased a new 2for1 sim card deal which arrived ok. They split the two sim dates so that your auto-renew now costs you twice as much The auto-renew for last year kicked in and now the $160 deal has cost me $320. Not happy with the stunts they pull

The service is great once up and…

The service is great once up and running, but.... Unfortunately with Mobile Payment Plans(MPPs) options a plenty with poignant terms of purchase obfuscated, for example when purchasing a plan that lasts a year with a data usage ceiling GB amount/month, if within the month you use more than a ceiling amount you have to spend money to continually top up until the day of your next month of the original mobile data plan kicks in.
There are no options to UPGRADE the existing yearly MPP plan! So if you simply want internet access when you want without data range anxiety you end up needing to purchase a larger yearly plan and loss all credited data from the original yearly plan.
BE WARNED before purchasing a yearly plan be sure the data ceiling usage is sufficient for your worst case scenario monthly usage. Additionally with an almost non-existent customer support, bottom line, one cannot help but feel the business plan of Kogan is to milk customer of their $$$ at every opportunity.
Kogan make it easier to UPGRADE existing annual plans so people do not feel as if they are being taken for a ride... How is it great for customer relations or reasonable to force people who make a mistake on a MPP to loss the entirety of that plan in the event they prefer a plan with a larger data capacity? Meet customers half way if you want loyalty...

I I was almost going to give up on Kogan…

I was almost going to give up on Kogan as I always find it difficult to deal with some Customer Service Support staff.
But after dealing with your highly efficient Customer Service staff member, Mustan today (ref. 66118795) I have changed my decision to stay with Kogan.
Mustan went to extra length to help me resolve all my mobile issues that were stressing me over time. He was kind, patient, extremely helpful, and extremely efficient. I can't thank him enough. Kogan should have more professional and compassionate staff like Mustan who I am sure will attract more clients to your business. I hope Kogan will recognise Mustan's valuable and commendable service to the Kogan organisation. Thank you

Fantastic valve for New Zealand mobile users

Fantastic sim, great value, I am a kiwi customer and this company does the cheapest plan available in New Zealand.
$13.70 per month if you pay a whole year.
No dramas and easy to change over your old number of you want to.
I was alittle worried as they use Vodafone (have use Vodafone many times for phone and internet, never again)but this seems to work well
Highly recommend.
3 plus months now,, love the fact I do have to top up and thre is a great app with easy to use dashboard.

Welcome to frustration.

You pay $333 upfront for the whole 12 months & what you get is shear frustration. Bought my SIM on 5/2/22. Received on 9/2/22 & still can’t activate it. There is no phone support. The only way you can get support is chat & I have been told to wait 3-5 working days before this SIM is activated. If you need piece of mind & want to avoid frustration then don’t lose your hard earned money. I’ll wait for another 24 hours. If not activated I’ll get refund.

I have never had this many issues EVER

I have never had this many issues EVER
I purchased a phone plan for a year. Both me and each of my family members selected the option that we need a sim. A MONTH later. Nothing has arrived. We contact the team and ask where our sim is. They tell us that none of us selected the sim card option when we all had. It takes another 2 weeks for mine to arrive but my family has yet to receive it in the mail. Now my voucher has expired and they haven’t gotten back to me after a week (I am trying to renew it!!) I still do not have a voucher but I try to activate my sim card with all the details on the package and it says the number is invalid. I have tried possibly 500 times. Sort it out kogan.

Terrible customer service

The coverage inside my house ceased on around 8 Jan. From internet searching it looked like there was an upgrade in progress. I'm told, after an hour plus of waiting it will be back on 18 Jan. Then it's 21 Jan. Then it's 25 Jan. Now 27 Jan and still not functioning. The support operator can't tell me anything and arranges a call from a supervisor. The supervisor, when they eventually ring, tell me they can't tell me anything as I'm not ringing on a Kogan phone (the one that doesn't work) and to call support and she will send them a message and they will tell me (maybe). I ask for the next level supervisor but shock horror, they will have to call me back. I'm waiting.
They did extend my contract by a month but that is nothing compared with the inconvenience and time I've wasted.

Kogan Mobile is hell !!

Kogan Mobile is hell !!! Don’t go there!!

I recently bought a Kogan prepaid plan and I had a bit of issue to port my existing phone number from the old provider to Kogan Mobile.

On a numerous occasions I called Kogan Mobile on 1300 056 426, not to mention that the poorest services being provided, but each time of calling, the phone voicemail has been going on and on and the waiting time has normally been around 50 minutes to 1.5 hrs.

Yes, you need to wait around 50 minutes to 1.5 hrs to speak to Kogan Mobile if you are lucky, very very bad experience.

So don’t go there , Kogan is hell

Very cheap data plans compared to others. Customer service good 👍🏼

Initially had an issue with my pre-paid plan but this was resolved immediately by the customer service team - on a Sunday too! Thanks Rajen.

Also the yearly plans are much cheaper than any other plan in NZ. Its $330 for the entire year for 15GB/month. That works out to be $27.50/month. I’m paying even less as I purchased during a promotional period. Never had any connection issues either. Would highly recommend for those not locked into a contract.
