Purchased a new recliner on 4/26/2026
Purchased a new recliner on 4/26/2026. It was delivered 4/30/2026. The La-z-boy recliner I purchased was poorly made. The top of the recliner slanted down lower on one side making the chair look like it had tilted. I sat in it, stood up, turned around and the recliner looked it had like fuzz balls. I have had many recliners from this company. They used to be the best. The last two recliners were made terribly. I thought I would give them one more chance. Big mistake. They are no longer listed as a good recliner. There are actually better brands for less money. This companies previous standards no longer exist. Save yourself the time and money and buy a better brand. I had this recliner for one hour before I called to return it. Ridiculous! American made is no longer a good thing, especially when it comes to La-Z-Boy recliner. Very happy the store I purchased it from is taking it back.
very poor quality furniture
very poor quality furniture. I bought a sofa and loveseat recliners and had to send to warehouse for repairs twice. Very sad quality furniture. Please save your money and DO NOT BUY at LAZY BOY
Very poor quality leather
We have purchased two sets of La-z-Boy recliners. The leather on the first set lasted less than three years. We bought a second set with “upgraded” leather. The upgraded lasted 4 years before becoming blotchy and discolored. Never will purchase La-z-Boy again.
All Or Nothing
Brown. Takes 3 weeks for that special color. Chair arrived pre-broke, called. Red tape for 12 months before it was finished. Took 4 visits. Broke again last week. After dealing with LA Z Boy I dis-recommend them. I understand why they don't allow pics here but I have them too. Buy anywhere else!
Follow-up went to AFW and got a fantastic deal literally thousand less
Purchased a sectional sofa for living…
Purchased a sectional sofa for living room. Very disappointing. No longer the quality furniture brand it used to be. 1 section had to be replaced because it had no padding, all seat Cushions had to be replaced because the quality is so bad. The back cushions should also be replaced but we have given up. It was an expensive lesson and will never buy lazy boy again. Buyer beware.
Had a triple power sofa delivered… EXCEPTIONAL
Had a triple power sofa delivered yesterday. The delivery crew was Alex and Kevin. Our experience was excellent from start to finish . They were both friendly, professional and did an amazing job of maneuvering a large sofa through some tight spaces with no damage.
They communicated and confirmed arrival date and time the day before and morning of even giving an early then expected arrival time.
Overall a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Comfort Rooms/Lazy Boy
Bought two lazy-boy recliners along…
Bought two lazy-boy recliners along either four year protection plan and two years later the foam has started to fall off arm of both chairs on right side. Of course told by protection plan this is not covered. I owned my first Lazyboy for 30 years without a problem but will never buy their product again as the quality is terrible
Poor quality no backup service
Poor quality no backup service - warranty is worthless.
Leather headrest stained due to poor quality and La z boy didn't want to know

In 2014 I bought a leather recliner with a manual recliner mechanism. I have never had an issue until last week.
A seat spring broke, probably because I sat down too hard, and I wanted to buy a new one. After a video consultation, they sent me out an entire base assembly, free of charge. I only paid $16 for the shipping.
I installed it because I wanted to do it myself. It installed perfectly, and now my chair is as good as new.
I am thrilled with the La Z Boy experience.
dishonest
I’ve purchased four pieces of furniture from this store totaling thousands of dollars, but my latest experience has been a nightmare. I bought an "as-is" floor model that was in perfect condition in the showroom. Despite explicitly requesting no delivery on Tuesday, they showed up anyway.
A person at my home let them in, but during the delivery, the movers dropped the piece on its side, snapping the door hardware. They then lied to the person at my house, claiming I bought it in that condition, and pressured them into signing off on it. I’ve called every week for over a month with no resolution. They even had me come in for a partial refund only to claim Apple Pay "doesn't work" for returns. It feels like they’re just stringing me along hoping I’ll give up. This is a terrible way to treat a repeat customer.

Bought 2 recliners ..delivered today…had an issue with how to charge batteries ..etc…called our salesperson at the store..within 45 minutes..as soon as he was off..came to our home..& spent an hour with us ..his name is Dawson..at the Sarasota store..if you ever want or need anything from Lazy Boy…ask for him…you won’t be disappointed .
First Purchase & Last Purchase
This was my first La-Z-Boy purchase in 54 years, and based on this experience, it will most definitely be my last.
Shortly after delivery, I noticed that the chair produces excessive and unacceptable noise during normal use. For a product at this price point, this is completely unacceptable. I participated in a virtual service call; however, it is unrealistic to expect that a technician can accurately diagnose a mechanical issue like this remotely. As a result, rocker springs were ordered.
I was specifically advised that once the parts arrived, I could call to schedule installation and that a technician would be available within 10 days or less. That has not been the case. When I called today to schedule service, I was given the first available appointment of April 22, 2026—far beyond the timeframe I was promised.
This level of service is unacceptable.
Over the years, I have purchased many recliners, including models priced as low as $300, and have never experienced issues like this. It is extremely frustrating that the most expensive chair I have ever purchased has turned out to be the poorest in quality and backed by such inadequate customer support.
At this point, I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed with both the product and the service provided.
Zero customer service
I purchased to recliner chairs in Halifax Nova Scotia. Both chairs were defective. I had to drive 9 hours round trip to pick up the chairs and then 9 hours to return the chairs. I had to argue with staff to return chairs and never received an apology and was treated like a convict, as if it was my fault.
I now have 2 new recliners from Lazyboy that are substantial quality, fabric is not good and the chair base has an oily substance that cannot be cleaned. I have emailed the CEO who does not contact. I tried to exercise the $700 warranty on these chairs but without success. They have not addressed the chair base and have decided they will not cover the stains in my chairs after waiting for the whole process for a month. They seem delighted to send me a cleaning kit so for the $700 paid I can do my own cleaning. I will NEVER purchase from this company again. Non existent customer service.

I needed a recliner today for my brother who has cancer. The store in Newport News, Virginia was amazing! The staff was compassionate and friendly. I was able to walk out with a floor sample for him for less than $600.00. Thank you for making it easy on a day that was already very hard.
Sofa and recliners.......terrible product
Purchased a sofa set and when it was delivered it had pulls in the material. It was documented and photographed by the delivery team prior to them finishing the setup. I should have rejected it immediately but trusted the dealer would look after it. That didn't happen and Lazyboy won't warranty it. They said it was because we have a dog. It was damaged prior to it arriving and coming off the truck. We are stuck with damaged furniture off the truck.
Oh how I wished I had read reviews…
Oh how I wished I had read reviews before buying my sofa. I ordered in Nov 2019, there was a 17
week lead time. I paid almost £2000 for a 3 seater recliner sofa.
A tension spring broke in November 2024, a simple fix you might think, especially as I had told them that they
could send the spring and I would fit it. I was told they don’t carry the springs and I would have to pay
£72.00 for an engineer to come out and that may or may not cover the cost to fix it.
I am now very confused, I was sold a sofa with a 10 year warranty, the spring failing after less
than 4 years use indicates to me that there is a manufacturing issue which should absolutely be
covered under warranty. My Brother, who has an engineering background has inspected the
spring and he has stated that for it to break in that fashion it has to have been an issue during
manufacture. I am now concerned that the other side will fail also.
I was left with a seat that did not fold up, I had a blind cat and I was concerned that he would get
inside the underneath workings.
I have recommended La-z-boy to family, friends and neighbours, I have since shared with them my
experience and advised them not to bother with La-z-boy products as the ‘warranty’ is a complete
myth.
I also purchased the extended fabric warranty at a cost of £168, I fear that that also is worthless.
I don’t know how companies get away with stating that they offer a 10 year warranty, when in fact
they do not.
I kept fighting my corner, sending countless emails in the vain hope that someone somewhere would actually help. Well, after a lot of frustration on my side and a lot of dodging on their side, I finally managed to get someone who was willing to help, and, after one failure, I was sent a spring that actually fitted - apparently I was used as their Guinea pig as they had had a lot of requests for springs - what a surprise. So, in April of 2025, my footrest issue was resolved. It was a lot of hard work to get there, it should not have been like that at all. I thought long and hard about writing this review, but I feel that others should be made aware of their non-existent aftersales ‘service’ and it was only through my dogged persistence that something was actually done.
Malpractice, misinformation, very poor business practice. In fact, from the amount of 1 star
reviews on here, I am surprised that they are still in business. The seat that I sit in the most is now becoming uncomfortable and is definitely lower than the others, again, very disappointed, you think when you pay a premium price that you would get a premium product, sadly it seem that this is not the case. I will certainly not purchase any more of their products. Dreadful ‘service’.
I do not recommend anyone purchasing anything from them.
I’ve read all the other reviews about…
I’ve read all the other reviews about lazy boy and most are exactly what we’re going through. We bought a power sofa and the quality is terrible. Bad cushioning that slants to the middle. A tech came out and agreed with us and said they would order parts to fix it. It’s been 2 months still no parts . We talk to the manager but they don’t call us back. We have disputed the charge
Quality gone in new Lazy boy furniture.
I bought a La-Z-Boy rocking recliner in 2017. It has held up well and was very comfortable so I decided I was going to buy a reclining sofa with the matching rocking recliner. Spent oodles of money to find out that they are not comfortable at all. Had a tech come to my home and told me that they need to be broken in. Funny because my old recliner never had to be broken in. It was comfortable from day one. I wanted to return it being that it was under 90 days old, but they won’t allow for that not a return not a discount nothing I won’t be buying Lazyboy furniture ever again.
Poor quality workmanship- shame on LA-Z-BOY
I bought a La-Z-Boy recliner about 7 years ago. I purposely ordered a leather recliner to replace another one that I had had for over twenty years manufactured by the same company. For some reason the LA-ZBOY company cheapened the chair by using some kind of vinyl in the crevices between the seat cushion and the arms that cracked and revealed the material underneath in an ugly way. I paid a lot for this chair, trusting that LA-Z-BOY made quality furniture, the quality of these chairs is crappy. I would avoid buying one.
Warranty is a joke
Nineteen years ago my husband purchased me a La-Z-Boy with my choice of fabric and trim. We received a lifetime warranty on parts and service. Chair has been great. However I called today because the chair needs to be adjusted because the footrest is now a little wonky and the back has be ome very loose. The person I talked to advised me that there would be a service charge and a labor charge also. Over $200. What a rip off. Will not be buying from them again
