Absolute vampires!!

Thankfully I paid off my mortgage but Landmark are more like vampires they are feeding off peoples misery highest rates of all companies. I feel for the thousands trapped by these animals interest rates now over 9% SVR how can they justify this and why hasn’t the government stepped in yet? If you’re trapped I feel for you, like so many I was with NRAM I hope Landmark are reading these reviews but what goes around comes back around and they will hopefully we will all see an end to these vampire leaches

Landmark Mortgages have just set their SVR at 9.14%. They do not offer Mortgage deals and customers are trapped. Government won’t do a thing to help. Customers are under extreme stress, feel helpless and lives are being lost due to having no way out. This should not be happening to hard working families in the UK who have paid higher rates for years. Please look into the legal action being taken and register your case.

What an absolute farce this company is

What an absolute farce this company is, caused no end of stress and angst and that’s the tip of the iceberg, staff are rude and hang up on you and that’s after waiting hours to get through. I’m now raising this complaint as high as possible and to the FCA as these underhand cowboys should be struck off, one of the FCA’s pillars is treating customers fairly and you are far and wide away from that! Avoid this company like the plague - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Avoid Avoid Avoid!

If I could, this terrible organisation would be awarded minus 5 stars! An absolutely shambolic organisation and if I were on the board, I would be hanging my head in shame. If you have been given the unfortunate news that your mortgage has been moved to this dreadful company, my advice would be to do everything in your power to change lenders. From call agents giving incorrect and conflicting information, 2 hours to pick up the phones, charging for their own mistakes and generally not caring about their customers I can honestly say that in all my orbits around the sun, I have never dealt with such an incompetent company and I've come across a few!! Advice for management - Train your employees properly! Advice for customers - RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

Heartbreaking

Reading these comments is heartbreaking. I was in similar position for years with landmark but was lucky to break free through good fortune and help from others. Otherwise there was no route out. I just heard Martin Lewis on LBC saying the UK Government has profited from this situation by 4 billion (£), whilst mortgage prisoners are now on their 12th consecutive increase. Frustrating on so many levels.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. Staff don't know what they're talking about and can't help. They have me over a barrel, doubled my mortgage then illegally report debt on my unsecured loan so I can't move providers! Apparently you can't speak to anyone in the department who deals with this!? Wth?! No email address just a message in their site, so I can't even email anyone directly or copy them in to any emails I send to anyone for help. I really need help with this. They're impossible to deal with.

NOT A MORTGAGE COMPANY

NOT A MORTGAGE COMPANY. They don't do new mortgages. Only interactions I get with this lot is a monthly Interest rate increase letter. Not a company that listens or helps people who are genuinely suffering. Only thing they are good at are collecting mortgage payments and that's it.

Corrupt MONSTERS

This business (LandMark) need to be INVESTIGATED! 14 years of utter misery I have encountered with these monsters and now I am in a position to pay my mortgage off they will NOT TAKE MY MONEY! I have endured so much mental and emotional abuse at the hands of LandMark I am not sure how much more I can take.

I ring EVERYDAY and EVERYDAY I am told something different. The figures constantly change, one day the unsecured is linked the next it’s not be linked! I have redemption figures coming out of my ears and not one can be produced correctly.

From the bottom of my heart I truly HATE this company for what they have put me through and for me to now be in a position to pay my mortgage off and they will not accept is a step even further.

I am so exhausted and I am at a lose so, if there is anyone who is reading this who has advice on what action I can take. I would be very grateful!

Landmark Not mortgages

Landmark mortgages - they don't actually do mortgages!! So how can you be classed as a mortgage company? You set your own SVR which is nearly double (8.14% at present) the base rate. The highest rate I paid with Northern Rock was 6.84 yet you claim to be treating us fairly in line with other SVR but well you're not!! Yet all US of can't afford to pay less with a more reputable actual mortgage company . The government sold us off for 2 4 BILLION yes BILLION yet they are STILL profiteering charging awful rates with matching awful customer service. Landmark do have a lending license but choose not to use why? So they can squeeze more out of the already vulnerable thousands that have been in this dreadful situation since Northern Rock went under.

There’s no way out!

I would give minus starts if that were an option. This is the worst company I’ve had the misfortune to be associated with. My mortgage was sold on to these daylight robbers when Northern Rock went under in 2008. I have been at their mercy ever since, paying exorbitant interest rates and being told I can’t afford to pay less by other lenders. I have never been in arrears, never been late with a payment or been unable to service my mortgage, yet I am treated with utter contempt and offered no alternative but to pay their abhorrent monthly payments. With rates increasing monthly, no help from the FCA or FOS and a government that is happy to watch this company ruin the lives of so many people - it’s not a surprise that people are losing their homes, their sanity and, for some, their lives. It is absolutely devastating that in 2023 this can happen.

Wish I could give minus

Wish I could give minus. I’m living a literal nightmare trying to keep a roof over my children’s head working full time in a professional capacity and needing to get a part time job whilst these inactive vultures keep hiking the monthly cost of mine and 200.000+ others mortgages whilst giving the good old corrupt British government backhanders and payments of £2.4 billion to allow them to keep our rates at over 8%. Vultures thieves and they have blood on their hands with the suicides and homelessness they have caused. Edit to add they do not HAVE to increase our rate every rate change they CHOOSE to - to add insult to injury and line their pockets. Vultures doesn’t come close. If anyone from this disgusting company would like to contact me please feel free

Complete and utter vultures

Complete and utter vultures, increase interest rates at will, no thought or concern for any of their 'customers' well being, mental health etc. my interest rate has doubled in less than 12 months. They simply do not care that their customers are losing their homes, that families are being destroyed, that sadly people are taking their own lives, an utter national scandal and a disgrace that this government continues to allow this to go on. This company, along with the others that bought the mortgages off Northern Rock etc from this government, and are now so called 'inactive lenders' are vile scum and should be shut down, but this will never happen as a few in this government are shareholders in these vile, disgusting companies.
