Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 120 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers report persistent issues with their vehicles, including frequent breakdowns and significant mechanical failures shortly after purchase or expensive services. The quality of the products is often criticized, with some vehicles requiring major repairs like engine or turbo replacements at relatively low mileage, leading to substantial costs. Reviewers also express extreme dissatisfaction with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to reach, with many feeling ignored or passed around without resolution. People frequently mention long wait times for repairs, lack of loaner cars, and poor communication regarding vehicle status, adding to their frustration and inconvenience. The pricing for repairs and services is often deemed excessive, with some customers facing bills that are disproportionate to the vehicle's value or the work performed. However, some customers also noted that the vehicles are aesthetically pleasing and offer a comfortable ride, with a few positive experiences reported regarding roadside assistance and specific dealership staff.

Life altering debt from these

If I could give a negative number I would. They don't accept breakdowns in most of the garages. My Discovery's engineer blew up. It stopped on a motorway almost killing my wife, said it was a DPF fault spent 1000+ on a repair then 10 months later it blew again. Finance company said we let it run out of oil! no we had a full oil change 4 months previous. Land Rover, The finance company and the dealership don't care. We have a car unable to drive requiring a new enginer. Avoid these cars , especially second had , at all costs.

Range Rover Do not honor their warranty

I purchased two vehicles the same day at this dealership November21 2024. One of the vehicles I have had nothing but issues with. Under directions of Pramamus RR I brought the vehicle to my local dealership for repairs. I have now had the vehicle into the dealership to be repaired several times. A few of the issues have been repaired. However the there is a modular in the driver's door that's needs to be repaired and Ranger Rover refuse to pay to fix the issue. The modular effects the blind spot worning and the HVAV on the driver's side of the vehicle. My local dealership reached out to Pramus RR service department for more information on the vehicle the response the received is as follows "we have no information on this vehicle. It was a returned lease. All we did was put an inspection sticker on the vehicle" the Pramus RR dealer NEVER PERDORMED THE 300 PLUS INSPECTION PRIOR TO DELIVERINF THE VEHICLE TO ME! I open a case with Range Rover HQ and they where absolutely useless! They messed me around for several weeks. I have reached out to Paramus RR several times and all is get is I will get back to on this or I leave a voice mail and no every gets back to me. Stear clear of this dealership at all costs they will not do the right think.

I bought a brand-new Range Rover Velar…

I bought a brand-new Range Rover Velar from the official dealer in Tangier, Morocco, just 4 months ago.
Three days ago, while traveling from Morocco to France, the car suddenly broke down near Málaga, Spain — without any warning.

I contacted Land Rover service. They took 24 hours to respond, and then said, “We will see.” Since then, I’ve been left without a solution, in a foreign country, with no transport.

This is a brand-new vehicle under warranty — how is it possible there’s no support? I am shocked and extremely disappointed by the lack of after-sales service and responsibility.

I regret trusting this brand. A luxury car should come with serious service. This is not luxury, this is abandonment.

Doesn't deserve 1 star

Breaks every month. Customer service non existent. This is financially the worst decision I have ever made. I have lost about 10 grand in repairs and Landrover couldn't care less.
Landrover make me utterly embarrassed to be British.

Range Rover thieves

Range Rover. Biggest loss in 56yrs of cars ever had. Rudest staff ever dealt with. Lost a 12k part exchange completely in their PCP thieves deal in 7months nothing back. No wonder their reputation and reviews are so bad. I am carless and lost my Audi that retailed 15k...7 months and give them their car back with just £1,400! And paid pcp 7months. I will never touch a Range Rover in my life again. Reviews 1.4 says it all

I would advise not to use the one in… I want return again

I would advise not to use the one in Staples corner as they’re very unprofessional. I’ve been here from 130. It’s now 10 to 4 and no one still hasn’t advised me on what is going on with my car but they are requesting money which I will not be paying until I’ve spoken to someone this is despicable for range Rover and not acceptable. They don’t even communicate with you very appalling customer service.

Absolutely shocking Service

Absolutely shocking Service

Turbo blown on a 2 year old Land Rover Defender.

Constant arguments about warranty work, and when finally agreed told there is a 9 week lead time.

In the meantime been given a crappy little honda as a courtesy car.

What on earth have has happened to this brand?

Honestly the worst customer service I…

Honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Land Rover caused an electrical issue on a recall on my car in June 2024 and the car has been back in the garage 4 times and yet still cannot be resolved. Rebooked for a 5th time early March and was told I needed to wait for 6 weeks for a courtesy car. Then comes the appointment date and I get a call the night before, 30mins before closing times advising the courtesy car is not available and would need to rebook and to call in to do so. 30mins of waiting on a call and no answer now your closed until tomorrow where I have made arrangement to get my car to you for you to resolve a problem that you caused only for you to now say it cannot happen. I have worked in customer service my entire adult life and this branch has no clue on what customer service is or how to problem solve an issue you created! This is my first review I have ever written due to the pure frustration and anger you have caused me along with all the inconveniences over the past 10 months trying to get this issue resolved due to your own incompetent team.

£4187.48 for replacement DPF 2020 DSport 22,500 miles

£4187.48 for dealership replacement Diesel Particulate Filter on a Sep 2020, 22,500 mile Disc Sport which I paid £31,000 for 2 years ago. If I pay the invoice myself the part gets 2 year guarantee, if JLR offer to help with cost which is still under consideration it will carry NO GUARANTEE. BUYERS PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND GOOGLE DPR DEFECTS LANDROVER before purchasing any make and model of diesel landrover especially 2017 to 2022. There's an awful lot of chat about it online / severely out of pocket customers - and legal firms have now become involved. Clearly wish I had known all of this prior to being sold the car by a LR Dealership (who must have been aware). Just worries me they are still selling affected vehicles on their forecourts and feel people should be warned.

All of the time we tried to go on holiday

All of the time we tried to go on holiday it always broke down because of the “heavy” weight. This car is supposed to take this weight.😡 we have had to cancel many holidays because of this , especially caravan holidays.

My 2023 130 Defender broke down on…

My 2023 130 Defender broke down on Sunday and left me stuck on the roadside. Vehicle recovered and informed that a courtesy 110 would be delivered to my home on Tuesday.

It is now Thursday, no courtesy vehicle and no contact from Land Rover, my vehicle is used for business purposes and so they've dropped me right in it !

now don't get me wrong I love my Defender but it's just such a crapy experience that you'll bite my hand off for £90k to buy it, full of the promise of luxury motoring and excellent back up only to disappoint. Funnily enough you managed to send me a fancy folder yesterday encouraging me to buy a Defender. That's obviously not going to be happening.

Sort your act out !

Do some loss sales analysis, your product reliability reputation is terrible. your products are slowly becoming a laughing stock due to this, and the after sales service is non existent. You're making other manufacturers look better and ruining what used to be a great brand.

Landrover Evoque Defect Nightmare

Landrover head office designed and built a Range Rover evoque with engenium engine. The evoque model is 2016. I purchased the car and I’ve had oil dilution issues for 9 years and I’ve been told for then9’years it’s my driving style. I’ve recently had DPF oil dilution timing chain and turbo failures all known issues for this model again known issues/defects with this car. I requested over 5 years ago to have my car replaced - all they tell me is lies and take no responsibility for these known defects and blame the age of the car. They were aware of these defects and should have recalled the cars and told owners. These cars are also a security risk due to key access and now car insurance is high. Again Landrover take no responsibility I need my car replaced with a secure/stable one

Unprofessional

Land Rover Stratstone
I booked an appointment to sell my car and provided all the necessary details in advance. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my car was too old and they wouldn’t accept it. It would have been helpful to know this beforehand, especially since all the information was submitted online. I was told they couldn’t contact me because my details supposedly didn’t go through — which I found a bit ironic, given that I received a text reminder about the appointment earlier that same day.
