Lands End Belt Poor Quality

I have a Lands End Belt among my 10 or so belts. It has fallen apart within a couple of years. Meanwhile the other non-Lands End belts that are 20 years old are in great condition. I have had a 32" waist for 45 or so year so I am not "stretching" the belt or wearing it hard.

I ordered 12/28/2024

I ordered 12/28/2024, items that all showed available. Received tracking information (UPS) even though I entered a PO Box. It did not state unable to deliver to PO Box. On UPS tracking number said it made it to within 30 miles of my home, only to be returned to LE per their request. On 1/21/2025 I contacted LE, was told it had been processed that day, to be delivered to my PO Box like it should have been in the first place. Was told I should have my order within 10 days. We actually get mail delivery on Saturday, but…no package. On LE website it shows NOTHING since the entry by UPS saying LE requested it returned. I will be calling them tomorrow…no chatbot for me, but I imagine I will be told that I am SOL, next step will be to contact my credit card company. Have used LE for more years that I care to admit, but will be finding a new go-to merchant.

I purchased a men's pajama set for $41…

I purchased a men's pajama set for $41 [incl. shipping]. I only received the top. Customer support said they were selling the top SEPARATE and even though they showed the set in the pictures, I would not be getting the bottoms. I'm now told they will charge me $7 for them to refund my $41. Unbelievable....never again!!

The second pair of pajamas!! Bad

The second pair of pajamas (same product name) was not like the first pair. The sleeves we're shorter by 2 inches on one side and almost 3inches on the other sleeve. I wrote to. Lands end and they said "too bad" it's a final sale. Well it's my Final Buy with them, forever!! Bad outfit. Poor service. Totally money hungry. WOW

Problem I encountered was discrepancy…

Problem I encountered was discrepancy in catalog and when I was trying to phone order. Catalog showed colors available for the style. When placing order the style didn't have any of those colors. Each style has specific few colors avaible. None. She said those aren't listed as styles colors. So decided to go to website because she told me newer colors available. Now same product that was listed discount price of $ 113
Was discounted $170! This is ridiculous. I've ordered a good amt of women's clothes before. Loved the clothes & excellent materials. I won't order again

Worthless company

Boyfriends mom bought me a set of PJs for Christmas. They are too small. Self the item back over 2 weeks ago. The rep is now telling me it will take up to 5 weeks for returns.

Stupidest thing I've ever heard. We will be sure to tell her no more gifts from here.

Lands' End charges a $6.95 return fee

Lands' End charges a $6.95 fee for returns in the United States ($10.95 for Canada)! They will deduct the fee from your refund. I realize that there is a cost to the seller when taking back purchased merchandise; but if you’re a consumer that doesn’t live close to an LE store, then it’s going to be an online purchase. Being online, there’s a risk to the consumer that the item won’t be exactly what you wanted, so having a free, no-hassle return policy is critical. I purchased a shirt jacket online that looked wonderful in the picture, but unfortunately the bottom of it flares out like I'm wearing a little girl’s dress and I have to pay $6.95 to return it! I emailed customer service to ask for an exception, but they very politely reinforced their policy, no exceptions. Now I’m stuck with a $30 shirt dress. There are plenty of other online retailers that offer no hassle returns, so this the last time I bother with Lands' End.

So I usually like Land's End

So I usually like Land's End. I love their cords and supima tee shirts but I recently purchased Women's Expedition Tall Waterproof boots in my size. I had to return them because I couldn't even get my foot into them. So since I really liked how they looked and seemed really warm I thought I should get a size 9 (2 sizes bigger than usual) I couldn't believe that even the size 9 was too small and tight! I tried them on without socks.. so imagine how much tighter and smaller they would be with socks. So I am returning them. FYI they only give you credit otherwise there is a restocking fee. BE CAREFUL with those! Oh, and when I wanted to post a review to let others know to either go way higher up in size or skip these boots the link for a review did not work!

Tall Sizes Not Reliable

I bought my husband two pairs of tall sweatpants for Christmas. One pair was several inches shorter than the other, despite both saying “tall” on the tag. The best customer service could do was make me return the shorter pair while sending a replacement pair. No offer to keep the shorter pair that we could gladly donate/regift to someone instead of it being returned and ending up in the trash which is what happens to most returned products (not sure about Lands End specifically but I’m betting). So now I have to find a way to physically print a return label (QR codes should at least be provided) and and venture out in the cold to return sweatpants that should have been made longer, so those sweatpants can end up in the trash.

Absolute non existent customer service! I’ve had a backorder for almost a month now and I continually see that they’re selling the same product showing available. Yet they’re telling me it’s on backorder. Do not do business with this company. They may have been good in the past but no more.

Tugless Tank- thin strap with high leg opening

Tugless Tank thin strap, high leg swim suit.
This is the 3rd time I have ordered this or a similar swim suit from Lands End and it has been a nightmare.
This is a beautiful suit, BUT I ordered it last year when my size was a 12 in their other tugless tank suits. It was too small to pull on. I then ordered a 14 and a 16 All ridiculously small for me. I called them, and complained.
I got a tiny bit of satisfaction, but still loved the suit. Oh the chest and waist are super small and the length is super long, so it looks terrible on. Really, unwearable. Lost 50+ lbs since then. Tried to order it again. So, I ordered the same suit in a 10 or 12, thinking it would HAVE to fit now.
I now wear a 10 or 8 in regular misses clothing.
Guess what????? Its just long enuf in the 10, but crazy small in the waist and chest. I can't breathe comfortably. WHAT??????? Lands End what is your sizing issue???

Terrible quality! Gone way downhill

How can a company self-destruct as badly as LandsEnd. I used to buy lots of clothes here. The quality started to decline a few years ago (weird sizing, etc.) but there were enough good items to keep me coming back. No more. I bought Starfish pants (slim leg and straight leg) and they were horrible! Baggy, ugly, and -- unlike the previous version -- no pockets. I'm done with LandsEnd

I purchased 3 rugs for my bathroom

I purchased 3 rugs for my bathroom. I was happy to be able to find 100% cotton, reversible and made in the USA. With 3 weeks of using them the trufts were pulling out. I live alone, 90 years old and no pets. The rugs already look old. This should not haave happened.

Used to buy from Land's End all the Time

Used to buy from Land's End all the time--never again. Sizing was terrible on a Christmas gift for my wife; and they charge a "service fee" to return the item that would not need to be returned if they were sized accurately. Stick with L.L. Bean or REI.

Pants fade quickly in the STARFISH COLECTION

I have to tell you that I am moving on. I have bought Starfish slim fit petite and love them AND THEN I WASHED them. I been pissed but ever more today. Ready dressed with my twice worn black pants and they are so faded!!! I’ve tried dying them last year but they then became my hang out pants. You really have to fix this. I’ve seen this comment before but YOU ARE NOT LISTENING!!!

Lands End Gift Card sent by US Mail - Never Received

I've been a customer of Land's End for at least 40 years. Sadly, based on my experience two weeks ago and continuing, I will not order again. I ordered a $150.00 gift card for my son (38 years old) who has complimented my Land's End dress shirts. I ordered on Dec. 13, 2024. I got an e-mail notice that the order was received and received an order number. I never received any further communication. No notice that the item had shipped. None. I thought the order would certainly be shipped by Federal Express, UPS or by USPS with a tracking number. I heard nothing.

I called Land's End Customer Service on December 19th, 2024 inquiring why I had not received the gift card. I was "told" the order was shipped on Monday, December 16, 2024 and it take 5 to 7 business days to arrive by U S Mail. I asked if there was a tracking number. I was astonished to learn no, there is not. For $150.00, Lands End can't spend a few dollars with USPS to send with a tracking number? When I asked her why would Land's End send any item in the mail with no tracking number, she said she had no idea, but would pass that suggestion along.

I have never received the gift card. 13 days since the order was placed. I just called again on December 30, 2024. I had to wait on hold for several minutes. When I spoke to someone about the issue, I was promptly told, "I can't help you with that, and I'll have to get someone else to assist. Please hold." Another 8 minutes on hold, when a lady picked up. She apologized, then asked if they could send it again. I told her to just refund the amount of card. She put me on hold again, and after several minutes, came back to me. She advised that the money had been refunded to my credit card. When I asked for a confirmation number, she gave me one, but I won't know whether that will actually be received for days.

This is not the Land's End I've bought from over all these years. How sad to see what was once a reputable company have so many issues.

Lies & Delays

I placed an order for two items, men's pajamas and a women's nightgown, on Nov 29, 2024. At the time, the nightgown was backordered until Dec 3. The pajamas didn't ship until Dec 9, and they shipped alone. I contacted customer service via email and was told that particular color of the nightgown wouldn't be in stock until Dec 18 (mind, I had to reach out to them; I was never notified of this delay).

I updated my order to a different color of the same nightgown, which was in stock, on Dec 10 and was told it would arrive on or before Dec 18. It's Dec 24, and I still don't have a tracking number. This is the email I received from Customer Service: "Thank you for contacting Lands' End.
I am showing the Deep Sea Navy Sleep Gown still processing. It should be sent out in the next 24-48 hours."

I'll have to run out now to buy another nightgown for my mom even though I have a million other things to do, and deal with crowds, something I was trying to avoid when I placed my order the day after Thanksgiving!

Absolutely unacceptable. I ordered all gifts online this year, and this is the only merchant I had an issue with. Sadly, I see I'm not alone. This is my last time ordering from this company, NEVER AGAIN.
