Great customer service - they respond really quickly and are super helpful. It has has a good impact on vocab retention and homework completion rates. Is also really useful for independent revision and practice. Would like a little more variety of games, which is starting to come in.

Great language teaching resource for all key skill areas and levels. Can’t recommend it enough.

The students enjoyed the activities and the immediate feedback. I use languagenut for addition support and for homework assignments. Students enjoyed doing it.

As a teacher it makes it easier to set short-term cover, homework tasks, exam-style skill practice. I love the fact it is easy to gather data to display a league and that it rewards them the more they engage.
The tech team is super helpful and friendly, but it's a shame kids have to go through us whenever they have an issue!
The pupils like the games but some hate it and get frustrated that they cannot move on until everything is perfect (incl. accents), and the GCSE listening practice tasks are fast and furious, not practical at all!
We've bought into it for the past 5 years but I am shopping around for more user-friendly products...

It is not suited to Japanese language learning at all. It is obvious that the language presented is simply built from basic translations based on another language entirely. Japanese has much honorific language which is not explained or included in any way, and the grammatical patterns are also not categorised or introduced in a logical way. The natural sequential and accumulative approach which would suit unqiue idiosyncracies of Japanese in particular, are not addressed at all. And the errors in the vocabulary and sentence structures provided are so numerous that my students were constantly frustrated. Answers were not consistent and kept changing...even with topics as basic as numbers.

The language is very accurate, even if sometimes I noted that it also has sentences a "getting married". I found it a little strange that it has been included in the sentences building. Something in the lines: -I want to get married.
These are children from an average of 11 Y.O. to 13-14 Y.O. Maybe sentences more related to their everyday life.

Languagenut has been a great addition to our language learning platforms. We are impressed with how our students are engaging with it and are particularly grateful for the feature which allows us to add our own content. Students are really engaged with it and are becoming increasingly independent with navigating their way around it. We are looking forward to harnessing more of Languagenut's potential for homework and, particularly, vocabulary learning for the new GCSE specifications. Staff are very responsive and really helpful when we have had any issues. We are really happy!

13. areas to improve:
1) To enhance authenticity, please provide supplementary listening and reading exercises grounded in the Jinbu 1 and Jinbu 2 textbooks(Mandarin). These should be carefully designed to match the specific vocabulary and grammar covered in each lesson
2)To enhance listening preparation, please provide exercises where students can preview all the questions before the audio is played. This allows them to scan the paper, predict likely content, and identify exactly what to listen for—mirroring the precise skills required by the AQA GCSE Chinese listening paper. Whereas, the current listening exercise in languagenut does not let students have the chance to see all the questions. Instead, only one question at one time.

Languagenut has become an integral part of lessons. I can use it for a 5 minute pitstop during a lesson to practise vocabulary or a grammar point, or to set homework assignments. It's so easy to use, and helps me to monitor students' engagement and progress.

The lessons are age appropriate and the activities are very engaging for students. The platform also allows the teachers the flexibility to assign pre-designed lessons or create custom lessons that work as a supplementary resource for students.

My Head of MFL decided to use this platform but I personally was not impressed. There are too many problems or glitches when work is set for preps and the students found the games quite boring after a while. There are also many things we cannot do for French, such as exercises about verbs from French into French for example.

Love it - so quick to set new assignments with blended customised and ready-made materials in line with our courses. Easy for KS3 as the courses we subscribe to fall in line with topics and bespoke packages, and easy to customise your own materials, if a little time consuming. LOVE the languagenut LIVE and competitions, and the leaderboard so we can track how we compare to schools globally and across our trust, celebrate our top learners and track non-completion. Would be useful to be able to generate messages direct to parents of those students who do not complete the assignments - not the students directly! This is a laborious task in school. Could parent accounts be assigned like Sparx / Seneca for auto-generated updates?
KS4 a little tougher to compile homeworks as the exam boards just publish vocab lists - not bespoke activities like the KS3 materials, but we love the new games and variety of topics. Would be better if each topic could be catalogued separately in 3 tenses - don't always have the right vocab in the right tense for our packages in school. This would also enable us to engage more able in higher challenge by combining 2-3 activities across different tenses within one assignment at our choice.

You know students will complain when they are put to work. LN is great and students engage with it well. It also has interesting games and makes teachers' lives much easier re marking and feedback. For us it is great for HW and it being able to put in your vocabulary helps a lot, it is great when a student says - that was on Language Nut. Give it a try.

LanguageNut has been an invaluable tool for our MFL department. Perfect for fostering independent learning and ticking off that differentiation box without much extra work. It is part of the HW we set very week and most of the tasks can be marked without teacher input. We also encourage pupils to earn extra points weekly by doing work on areas they feel they need more practice on. The competitive element kicks in and pupils love looking at the leaderboard at the start of the week! The LangugeNut competitions and prizes are also a great way to encourage pupil involvement. Finally, they have great customer care and support schools effectively.

I used it for 2 years and helped children enjoy and learn continuing the lessons at home and practising competitive games to learn new vocabulary

I tried all the activities, topics and children enjoy all of them. It helps a lot learning new vocabulary. We use more reading and listening, a bit of talking but not very much writing. It is easy to use and add children and new classes.
I haven't downloaded any assessments to see children's progress. 5his is what I am planning to do this year with P7. Unfortunately, this year i won't be able to use it across school, however I will make new classes and advice my colleagues to use it as much as possible.

I didn't do my languagenut and the nut man came to get me. It was a peaceful saturday night when i had forgot to do my languagenut. when i woke up the next morning, he was there. sitting on my bed, ready.... ready to nut. and he did. Oh he really got me bad. It left me with a scar to make sure i remember to do my languagenut. Don't get nutted guys, take this as a warning. I am now one with the nutters
