Booking was easy enough

Booking was easy enough. When I realised I’d made a mistake and booked the flight for the wrong day it wasn’t possible to amend through lastminute, so I had to obtain the relevant details for the airline and go through them. Once I’d done that, the flight details on lastminute didn’t update, so the service became pretty redundant from there on in. I just used the airline directly for everything else. All in all a bit of a waste of time and having not been a fan of agents before this, the experience has reinforced my feelings rather than changed them.

All good in the end

Booking the hotel was straightforward but afterwards the communication between last minute and the hotel was not good. I had to spend 2 hours sorting my reservation out and to confirm they had my details.

Zedwell Piccadilly Capsule Hotel

Hard to find, poor directions from the sister hotel, capsule not clean, instructions incomplete and insufficient, temperature control not good, impractical capsule size, check-out is too early. Inexpensive, and a great location - though that wouldn't be enough for me to go back.

Major Flight Change, Dismissive Customer Service

Booked a Maldives package through Lastminute.com costing several thousand pounds and the experience dealing with a flight schedule change has been incredibly frustrating.

Etihad Airways changed our stopover from 1hr 30mins to 7hrs 45mins while travelling with a 2-year-old child. We requested a very reasonable alternative departing on 12th September instead, as the timings would at least allow us to rest overnight in Abu Dhabi rather than spend nearly 8 hours stuck in transit after a long-haul flight from London.

Despite multiple emails and promises of updates, we continue to receive automated responses pushing the same unsuitable option we already explained does not work for a family travelling with a toddler.

The most disappointing part has been how dismissive the process has felt. This is not a “minor change” when you are travelling with a young child and losing valuable paid holiday time.

Very poor customer experience for what should have been a premium holiday booking.
