Pathetic

Pathetic, no clue, the worst customer service I've ever experienced. avoided any responsibility for their mistakes, kept palming me off to the next sucker with clue, nobody kept any notes of previous discussions.
failure to make clients aware of early termination payout fees, overpaid without apologies, failure to accommodate a relatively small gesture of goodwill, unwilling to listen to the customer, made to feel like I was being untruthful, simply no regard for customers satisfaction, wanted nothing to do with trying to figure out where they had gone wrong, could go on and on, but I have already wasted to much time and effort on this joke of a company.
final words of advice to anyone thinking of using Latitude finance.
DON'T, YOU'LL REGRET IT, SCUMBAGS

Horrific company horrific experience.

Horrific company horrific experience.
I took out a car loan with Lattitude which was due to expire in May 2027
I had paid more each month on my loan so l could get it paid off quicker. February 2024 l only owed around $3000 on it and decided to upgrade my car through another lender. The car dealership said they would payout the balance of my car, and use the balance of my car as a deposit. I waited for a couple of months and wondered why l had no pay out letter, my account was still saying open. When l contacted the dealership, they said there was no money owing on my car.
Someone at Latitutde did not do their job properly.
I was then left to pay off the car, frustrating but had to do it. I paid larger amounts and by January 2026 l only owed $855 on my overall account even though l had 16 months to complete my loan. I requested to not make a payment in January as my daughter was facing financial hardship and l had to pay her rent and she was moving back in with me. They said l had to pay. I told them l could not pay in Janyary, but l would pay the balance of $855 in February. They continued to chase me. On one day the company called me 5 times. ( Harassment) In February l paid out my $855 plus over $200 in early payout fees. When l checked my credit report they marked me as a missed payment. I have been fighting this ever since. I recieved an email about 5 weeks ago saying they were going to change it. I recieved my uodated credit report today and they have not removed it. I feel traumatized dealing with this company. I just need my dealings with this company to be over. But l feel it never will be. You deal with this company you deal with the devil.

Do not use

Do not use unless you want to be ripped off, hung up on or sworn at. Called to get a payout letter, got hung up on. Called back they said it was an IT issue, hung up on after. Called back again, they said theyve organised for it to be sent. Never received it. Forgot password have to call as code wont get sent to email. Had a random mobile number connected to my account that ive never used before. They couldnt explain it. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

The worst company I have ever dealt…

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Absolute scam! I signed up for 6 months interest free but they still charging me 28%. I tried calling them on their numbers provided and you can’t get through as it keeps cutting off. You can’t do online help as it’s impossible
I’m just shocked that they haven’t been arrested and put in prison.

Got a phone call today saying can you pay via an automated service first time said NO which wasn’t registered, then said No again…. “Thank you we expect your payment in three day”… followed by a text saying this aswell!

They will push you hard for Biometric Data for made up reasons

Super dishonest, avoid at all costs!
The customer service is rude AF and not at all helpful. They will straight up lie to you and the story you get depends on the person you are talking to and how hard you push back. If you have to deal with them record all conversations!
They made up some BS about fraudulent activity just days after receiving my card in the mail, before it was even activated. They said I had to use my phone to do a biometric face scan, but would not tell me any details of the suspected activity nor any information about the bio scan, why they needed it, who would have access to it, where and how it would be stored and for how long. The entire thing seemed very suspect. After seeing other reviews of people being victims of fraud after providing details to the Indian call centre, there is no way I was going to give them my face.
They then straight up lied and said I could not close the account without the scan. After multiple calls over 3 days they eventually closed the account without the scan.
But the entire process was so shady and the staff were so dishonest and rude.
I looked into it and they are actually breaking the law here in Australia with these practices.
Best thing is to stay away from them.

Steer clear!

I’ve only given latitude a one star rating as I can’t give any less! Useless, utterly useless! I had a personal loan with this company which I finished paying 8 months ago only to find that they had not closed my account and there was money owing to me, I called the call centre and to say they were of no help is an understatement! They tried to tell me that I still owed them hundreds of dollars and that my account, even though it was showing a minus balance as not settled! Tried to call several times to sort this out only to be met with the same story and have now escalated my complaint to the ombudsman!

If I could give 0 stars I would, do NOT by any means take out a personal loan with these guys.....first of all their rates are obscene (but many others are too so that is a wash), second of all to get a response from an email is like pulling teeth and calling is not much easier with the English language not being anyone's first in the call centre......next, even after paying off the loan they try to say there is a balance owing when there is not but you cannot close the account without paying it off in full.....getting a payout/closure letter takes days, if not up to a week....I seldom write any reviews but this one had to be written

I wish I could leave negative feedback

I wish I could leave negative feedback, because my experience was extremely extremely poor. I asked the agent to lodge a complaint, and she told me she couldn’t. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, the call was disconnected after hold for 5 mins.

There were also several unexpected charges. I paid $200 for the pay cycle, yet I was later informed that payments must be made within the same month and charged $45 late fee on my account.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to make your payments and close your accounts ASAP

Rude disrespectful customer service…

Rude disrespectful customer service they are dealing with several customers at once online they will not give you a straight answer and you end up feeling frustrated and angry the phone service is no better. I don't think this company wants to improve I believe they know exactly what they are doing and that is taking every cent they can from their customers, I tried to do the right thing and make sure my payment for my Gem Visa credit card went through not realising that it takes 6 days before Lattitude finance charges my bank account I didn't see any pending charges on bank account so I tried 5 times, after explaining it to customer service they would not remove the 4 payments I made by mistake even though they hadn't been charged to the bank yet and I was told I would get dishonor fees for them that is the first straight answer I got in 3 days of trying to sort it out. I don't care how desperate you are stay away from this company you will only end up wishing you had stayed away later

Ashleigh is an absolute incompetent…

Ashleigh is an absolute incompetent person!! She treated mu chargeback claim with so much disrespect! I filled in November, and she writes back today to say I am out of the timeframe for a chargeback, so there isn’t anything she can do!! She wrote me in November to let me know it might take up to 30 days. And despite sending numerous emails, she did nothing and only replied to me today. Latitude, fire this incompetent person! It’s a disgrace for your company to have somebody like her working for you!!!!!

One company I won't be using again.

Well I was in a pickle for finance and they came to the rescue. That's where the good part ends.
I found their customer service staff would regularly cut you off mid sentence when on the phone to them. The balance of account figure which was paid to complete the loan was correct as per the consultant and that it what I paid to close, only then to be informed that there are other fees and charges. When questioned the barriers go up and they don't really want to listen to you.
Would never use again.

Stay away from this scum

Stay away from this scum. As soon as signed up they will bombard you with all sorts of fees and charges that never been disclosed before.

I will be submitting official Complaint to AFCA and further sue them in Court for misleading marketing and foul practices.

Bad customer service

For a financial institution, the lack of customer support is really concerning. When you’re dealing with credit products and high interest rates, customers should at least be able to speak to someone or receive a response to emails.

Overall the experience has been disappointing and I would not recommend them based on the difficulty in getting support when you actually need it.

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY

Had paid loan out. They kept account open occurring fees. Didn’t bother to tell me or send me any statements until well after two years.
Called Latitude - on hold for over 15 minutes.
This company should not operate.

I had a loan with latitude

I had a loan with latitude at very high interest so i paid it out early and got stung massive fees. The worst was yet to come. Having a loan with latitude affected my good creit rating severely and even after paying out the loan early latitude never update it as paid so lenders think you still have the outstanding loan. avoid at all costs.

Credit card offer is scam

Credit card offer is scam:

They advertise a monthly minimum spend from the date of credit card approval to get $300 cashback. But in reality they don't calculate the date of approval. The statement is from a arbitrary date which is 24th of every month.

Morally Bankrupt

Ah yes. The app we didn't have, to monitor the account we didn't open or know about.
The account was eventually closed but 6 months later we are still trying to erase it from our credit history. Latitude have been strangely unhelpful during this process.
